It’s a more Schwarzenneger version of the barbarian than the one from the comics. It tries to make the most of its influences (especially God of War) in the form of a competent game for all Conan fans out there. [Nov 2007]

Even for all the respect and love that the Castlevania series deserves, the gameplay mechanics fell completely out of date. But if you look at it as a “collection item”, it manages to deliver. New players will become desperate with its old fashion gameplay and difficulty, but that’s exactly what Castlevania fans are looking for here. [March 2008]

Another good chapter on this franchise. The multiplayer makes it an even more attractive proposition, since the single player campaign is good enough on its own, with the usual adrenaline fix for anyone who likes dogfights. [Dec 2007]

A great offering from Capcom. Even in a genre that’s not common on consoles, it manages to work perfectly on the Nintendo Wii. If you don’t mind spending a few brain cells and tearing your hair when you fail an objective, you just have to buy this game. [Feb 2008]

Following the steps of old GBA games of the same franchise, it doesn’t offer anything new. But it still manages to be addictive for player who like old fashion games, with a nice 2D and a difficulty level that can lead who to throw your DS against a wall. [March 2008]

It’s not a revolution, but everything it does, it does really well. Once again, a brilliant product of Insomniac’s imagination. [Nov 2007]

Two good remakes and a dozen other games that can go from average to mediocre. The unchanged classics are more like a bonus feature and offer no reason to recommend this game. [May 2008]

All the pilots and all the tracks of this season, with a handling that falls between an arcade racer and a simulation. It’s a competent proposition but there are better alternatives. [Nov 2007]

Simple and accessible, with short games and a good use of the Wii Remote. It will please its target audience, the children. However, the other players will just consider it to be too limited. [Jan 2008]

Not a classic but probably one of the best Sims on consoles. It’s true that some of the magic is lost due to some objectives with obscure solutions and the excessive loadings. But the concept can be quite appealing at times. [Dec 2007]

The actions you perform on the first level are exactly the same that you use from there on forward. It’s not totally awful but the lack of ambition here is obvious. [Nov 2007]

We Love Katamari left us with a deep and good impression, but this sequel – or maybe we should say this add on to the series – only manages to add the online play. It doesn’t want to be a killer game and it doesn’t even take advantage of the hardware to fix some graphic flaws, but it’s still one of the most original concepts of the industry. [March 2008]

Nobody can take away what this franchise did to the genre. But it’s hard to shake the feeling that we’ve played this before. Tony Hawk’s team seems to be running out of ideas and with “Skate” as a strong newcomer, they really need to change. But it’s still a fun game that old fans of the Birdman will appreciate. [Dec 2007

A limited exercise plan for the eyes with little challenge that fails to give us the perception that we’re making any real progress. It’s not even close to Brain Training. [Dec 2007]

It doesn’t manages to even threaten EA’s or 2K Sports’ franchises. Even running at 1080p it can’t hide the serious control problems, the AI and the lack of a good career mode. An absolute “air ball” that should make Sony rethink the future of this series. [Feb 2008]

Even if you forget the fact that you have five games in one box, it’s the quality here that’s impressive. One of the best FPS ever, a little slice of pure genius and a multiplayer classic renewed. [Nov 2007]

Even if you're a fan of the anime, the story and dialogues fail to impress. You can still look at it for the novelty of the control scheme, but soon you realize that there are only few movements that you can do, even fewer game modes and almost no difficulty. [May 2008]

The art style and the collection of monsters are their only strengths. It won’t make you buy a PS3 but if you already have one and are into the whole ”gotta catch’em all” theme, it’s worth a try. [Nov 2007]

The alternative found for the lack of the bong drum support fails for being so imprecise. And the sense of speed is always missing. It’s likely will keep accelerating without realizing your already at top speed. [March 2008]

We can say that the co-op multiplayer adds something new to this tired franchise. But there aren’t many different objectives and the Xbox 360 version is a mere port of the PS2. Maybe someday Crash can recover its old glory, but that day hasn’t come yet. [Dec 2007]

A great sequel and a great action game for the PSP. Even though there aren’t a lot of new ideas, most of them are very well implemented. This second game on the PSP consummates the redemption of an old franchise and of Gabriel Logan as a lead character. [Dec 2007]

The trilogy ends with a title that doesn’t bring anything really new regarding the solo campaign, but maintains the fun and appealing gameplay that this series is known for. In the end, it’s on the multiplayer front that Halo 3 shines the most, with an overwhelming number of options and exemplary support by Bungie. [Oct 2007, p.55]

Although it seems to be designed for a younger audience, it feels best suited for veteran gamers that struggle to find the challenge and difficulty of games from the past. If you belong to the last category you might be thrown off by its childish looks. If you belong to the first, you might not react well to its frustrating moments. [Jan 2008]

As for party management and battle functionality, the premise of the game is very original. But the rhythm and automatic decision during combat makes them a little boring. It’s a pretty competent turned based strategy RPG that Disgaea and Phantom Brave fans should find interesting. [July 2008]
