The combat system is still brilliant, Nero proves to be a good character and visually it’s pretty impressive. But we can’t help feeling a little disappointed. It’s still a great action game, but has the same flaws of every other title of the series. [Feb 2008]

It manages to take some advantage from the movie license. Its gameplay is accessible but interesting, with simple puzzles, platform jumps and combo based combats. It will please its target audience. [March 2008]

Action fans won’t be disappointed by this game. The fun factor throws realism out the window and there’s hardly a dull moment. [Nov 2007]

Some ten mini-games that might entertain you for a while but fail to offer something new when compared with the previous game. But, of course, it’s the Battle mode with up to eight players that will provide all of the fun. [May 2008]

With its new and open structure, it can be a shock at the beginning. But the gameplay is as addictive as ever and with its vertiginous speed, excellent framerate and, mainly, the new online multiplayer, the new Burnout is still a great game for any arcade racing fan. [Jan 2008]

The least you can say is that this is a unique title with some genius moments. But the open world sections do more harm than good and the levels leading up to the assassins seem to lack some inspiration. But it’s still a unique experience that all Wii players should consider. [March 2008]

The changes are in the most part cosmetic, but whether you like them or not, Advance Wars: Dark Conflict is still an extremely well balanced and addictive turn-based strategy game, rewarding strategic thinking and tactical forethought. [March 2008]

It follows the same action/ beat’em up mechanics that we can find on all of the Dynasty Warriors series. It’s basic and can become easily repetitive. Going through levels waiting to find groups of enemies without intelligence stops being appealing after a short while. [Jan 2008]

It’s not a bad game, but it feels somewhat incomplete. It has good ideas for the Wiimote, but it fails to implement them. It has great sceneries but too many slowdowns...To tell the truth, we would rather have waited a few more months for a better result. [Feb 2008]

The franchise makes its next gen debut but with some out of date visuals, especially if you look at other off road racers already released. Even so, the diversity of events and good track design can still offer some “good old fashion” fun. [March 2008]

Not that we were expecting something big from this game. But something like this, unfinished and with no personality whatsoever, will quickly drown in a highly competitive industry... even more so if it’s an FPS. [Jan 2008]

This DS title still manages to be as addictive as the original, even if the control scheme on the portable isn’t as intuitive as on the Xbox 360. It’s fun, but you should take it with some moderation… or else you might lose all felling in your hand and wrist due to the pain. [Jan 2008]

Those who expect to find the new "Knights of the Old Republic" might be a little disappointed. The story lacks some real depth – once again it’s the old 'save the galaxy' cliché – but it might gain another dimension once the trilogy unfolds. But it’s still a fabulous RPG, one that any fan of the genre can’t possibly miss. [Dec 2007]

Sega had the obligation to work harder on this conversion, at least with new levels for the game, since the three maps aren’t event connected between them. Being as it is, Ghost Squad is a mere conversion, feeling incomplete in form and substance. [March 2008]

The usual audience will be captivated by its story, that’s complemented with some great real time strategy mechanics. Just trying to unlock all of the elemental Espers will make you addicted. [Apr 2008]

The last specimen of a dying genre, Time Crisis 4 tries to revive itself with a new FPS mode. Unfortunately, the outcome is very poor, and a set of technical problems obliterate all the fun obtained with the classic shooter mode. And only that guilty pleasure prevents an even lower score. We might say that this game was a bit “unlucky” with its release date, because it can’t measure up with some of the FPS that came out this year. The truth is, although the time controls are a fun idea, everything else is a carbon copy of every other generic shooter out there. [Dec 2007]

The best PS3 exclusive to date. While it lasts, it’s one of the best action/adventure games of recent times. Lara Croft will have to sweat a lot on her next adventure to make Nathan Drake go away. [Nov 2007]

We welcome with open arms the change of attitude and approach of this new Need for Speed. But we frown upon some of the problems that were left unsolved, like the structure of the career mode but mainly on the handling of the cars. But for those who turned their backs on the previous games, it’s a good place to return to this franchise. [Dec 2007]

It has all the ambitions and potential worthy of a true next-gen title, from its visuals to the freedom it offers to the player, although it falls victim of its own limitations. But this title still has the flavour of something quite innovative. [Dec 2007]

Only die hard action fans will find reasons to be interested, and only if they can get over the terrible plot structure and some of its gameplay problems. It had a lot more to offer, but leaves a bitter taste of disappointment. Not Io’s greatest moment, a company that’s really capable of so much better. [Dec 2007]
