Maneater is more than entertaining with a good quality product, good control, great map design and a story of sea revenge full of surprises. It may not be a game of the year, but it's still a great game, funny with a very dark sense of humor.

Crimson Desert isn't a game for everyone. Despite its flaws and complex systems, it's a fascinating game that has a lot to offer—though it does test your patience.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered manages to bring back two of the most important and most beloved games in the history of gaming, reviving the idea that the franchise, perhaps, can continue. Despite the fact that the gameplay is notorious for the passage of time, and that they present some minor technical flaws, this package more than fulfills its purpose of bringing these titles to the hands of new players, and at the same time leaves old fans happy.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands doesn't kick the board to reformulate the Borderlands series, but it brings enough fresh air to boost the series. The game characters, dialogues and craziness are much more interesting, dynamic and fun than in previous entries, and they provide a good base on which to build future titles in the franchise.

DOOM Eternal will not have the same impact as that Doom 2016 game did, but when it puts the pedal to the metal, there is no comparison. DOOM Eternal is an injection of pure adrenaline with intense combats that demand a lot from players, leaving us extremely satisfied when we complete them. The Doom Slayer's legend is in good hands and we will continue to enjoy his destructive power for a long time, because his battle is eternal and our spirit is unwavering.

Weird West is original and offers a fresh, immersive and highly entertaining experience. Its high points include a gripping story in which all our actions matter and a beautiful artwork. The game has obvious limitations, but manages to capture the essence of the Wild West.

Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories is a fascinating and charming game. While it looks like a game from the past generation in technical terms, it's still a rather unique adventure. Combining a situation not often seen in video games with a cast of characters with memorable stories, this game really offers an experience that, once you get hooked, is very difficult to drop. The wait may have been too long, but Disaster Report 4 is totally worth it.

Tekken 8 represents the next evolution of the franchise, but it's not a major transformation. Some aspects remain the same, like the lack of in-depth tutorials, while some, like its narrative, fall very short. However, what's most important, the gameplay and the online experience, are definitely at its best.

The Plucky Squire is a game that shines with its impeccable art direction, gracefully blending different styles that celebrate the world of video games with each new mechanic. While it has some issues with pacing and a length that can make it feel repetitive, it continues to impress with its creativity on every page of the book.

If I think of Final Fantasy XVI today as a package to play from start to finish, I think of an unparalleled expedition with a lot to tell, with its two expansions, about a world slowly approaching ruin. Perhaps, being a slave to the excitement and mystery of Japanese plot twists made me wait longer than I should have. Perhaps, the "terrible and lost" Leviathan was nothing more than a hope for the players, one that Clive knew from the start would not change his actions and that, in the end, he would have to say goodbye to his fans.

While I think Eiyuden Chronicle has some room for improvement and that more development time would have been even better for it, I appreciate the many original ideas that the experience offers for a genre that is overpopulated, especially in its 2D/2.5D version. However, the foundations for something much bigger are already in place. We'll see if there will be enough gas to keep supporting this project or if it will remain encapsulated as a one hit wonder. My vote for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, then, for all that it represents, with its mix of legacy and timeliness.

Unfortunately, Going Under arrived in the same month as Spelunky 2, Hades and other prestigious indies who are also roguelike. However, its proposal is solid and has a lot of personality. All of this, along with the narrative, make it a more than interesting title that it should be recommended for lovers of this genre.

Ultros is a unique metroidvania that focuses its proposal on the exploration of an exquisitely dreamlike, colorful, and psychedelic map. It falls short in terms of action but compensates with deep exploration, rewarding environmental puzzles, and a spectacular aesthetic section.

Manor Lords is a title with potential, although we will have to wait patiently to see it. This, undoubtedly, can deter the more impatient from giving it a chance. The progression is slow, and we might have to start several games from scratch to get the hang of it. On the contrary, those who are accustomed to this type of game will find here a beautiful and mechanically impressive city builder. [Early Access Review]

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a sequel that stays true to its roots, but in the best way possible. It recaptures what made the original unique and enhances it with new vocations to choose from and dozens of skills to master. It's an adventure across two gigantic continents to explore, brimming with mysteries and treasures, and a strong presence of mythological beasts to defeat. [Review in Progress]

The Callisto Protocol is a sublime horror experience in atmosphere and immersion, offering a worthy challenge when it comes to single-enemy combat or against a mini-boss. The problem appears when the hordes arrive: when fighting many enemies, the rough combat mechanics are very noticeable. And being such a combat-centric survival horror, these shortcomings keep it from being one of the best of the year. [Review in Progress]

After a year in Early Access, Unrailed is a party game that challenges us to keep a little train rolling towards the next station, having to craft and place the rails on the go. The game offers the option to play single player, but it’s clear the game’s strong point relies on its multiplayer experience. [Early Access Score = 80]
