The spiritual successor to Suikoden feels like a prologue that is full of good ideas that don't quite make the cut.

Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition shines because the magic of the originals is as relevant as it was more than 20 years ago. The games themselves are second to none, but the remaster sticks to the basics and offers a simple updated version of the classics.

Sucker Punch delivers an epic Samurai adventure that is constantly debating what kind of game it wants to be, just as its protagonist questions his own actions and responsibility. Ghost of Tsushima is the pinnacle of a genre represented by great exponents. However, the game not only does not seem to bring anything particularly new, but neither does it raise the bar or represent an evolution in open world games.

Big Blue Bubble managed to create a fun metroidvania that relies on an agile combat system and responsive controls to build an absolutely great experience. Its greatest achievement is its difficulty curve that always demands more of us but never resorts to the old tricks of artificial difficulty to extend the duration of the adventure.

Iron Harvest is a good game. KING Art Games did a good job responding to the demand of the players who clearly enjoy these types of games, but with all the ideas they proposed, they could have done something really new. It has a lot of single player content and a good AI both in the campaign and in quick games.

Little Big Workshop, in general terms, is a great management game and it offers very well optimized version on consoles, with very well applied concepts and a simplicity in controls that makes it very friendly for any type of player.

Project CARS 3 carries some of the DNA that has defined the series from its origins, but it is also true that, with the change, part of the identity was lost. This is clear because it's fun, it works and fulfills every proposal, but at the same time, it does not change anything nor does it offer something that distinguishes it from the rest of its competitors.

Cloudpunk is a beautiful cyberpunk adventure when it comes to exploring the city and knowing every little story among its neighborhoods and sky roads. It is a shame that some of its gameplay mechanics are not funny or coherent. Ultimately, the game is worth it for the lore, the characters and the story that will motivate us to play until the end.

Oddworld: Soulstorm is an experience that finds the right point between the nostalgic and the modern. The pacing is sometimes too slow and we can't ignore the repetition of mechanics, but even with these shortcomings it is still a highly recommended title. Fans are undoubtedly going to love it.

Someday You’ll Return is an incredible game with some slips that tarnish the experience. These problems don't ruin the game, of course, but they prevent it from being a must-play. Anyway, it manages to be a recommendable title and, above all, a different one: a breath of fresh air in the first-person horror genre.

Lust From Beyond is another horror game with good ideas executed in a limited way because it comes from a small studio. It stands out for its concept and the game is even a surprise in several aspects. It's a complete, terrifying and varied experience that fulfills horror fans demands even when it does not bring new mechanics.

In its own way Hellpoint seems like a signature Soulslike, because despite all the mechanics it borrowed from its inspirational series, Cradle Games managed to make an original game. It's a game designed for lovers of the genre, although not for purists, and it has received constant support from the development team so it is expected that future patches will solve the performance problems.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a tribute that fans of the original game who want to relive the adventures of Tommy Angelo will greatly enjoy. There are very funny moments along the journey thanks to the characters, who are so charming that they make us forget the monotonous mission design.

The Survivalists manages to deliver what it promises, although that isn't enough to stand out among other titles in the genre. The Escapists series offered an original concept in our attempts to escape from heavily guarded prisons, but this new adventure lacks in terms of originality. The Survivalists is a good game that doesn't take risks beyond its comfort zone.

FIFA 21 feels more like a pre-season game for what is to come in the next-gen version. While it has some considerable improvements in terms of career mode, some changes to the Ultimate Team interface, and a gameplay experience somewhat superior to last year, the rest remains the same.

Blair Witch is, above everything else, an adventure full of good ideas. Despite some technical issues, it is a breath of fresh air, a first-person experience that does not fall into the cliché of being a jumpscare roller coaster or a simple horror walking simulator.

From the point of view of the narrative, Through the Darkest of Times is a fascinating and very important game so that we never forget the atrocities that stain the history of the 20th century. However, if you are looking for a good strategy game, better look elsewhere.

Forskpoken isn't a bad game, but it isn't outstanding either. If you get interested in its universe, whether for its story or combat, it won't leave you indifferent. However, the game doesn't dazzle, and it might not meet the expectations of all players.

Drawing on an arsenal of side missions that were already repetitive in 2013, this title is ideal for those who wanted that old GTA experience, but not for those looking for something next gen. Still, this comeback has things to offer: main missions often have great Uncharted-like action moments, customisation is still great and the story is so well written that I was left wanting a TV series. Saints Row is effective, but generic".

Ninjala is a pleasant surprise. I expected absolutely nothing from it due to its generic appearance, but I found myself playing until the wee hours of the morning, immersed in its spectacular fights. It takes lot of time to learn to play it, to read correctly the chaos that their confrontations seem to unfold, but once this obstacle is overcome, a bunch of great battles awaits us.

NBA 2K21 is still the best in terms of simulation and production values that can be found in the sports genre, but the truth is that this is no longer enough to make it essential. In fact, gamers who already own 2K19 or 2K20 should stay there, unless they are dedicated to competing online and want to always be up to date.

Arise’s main attraction is its story - a pleasing artistic experience. Each level symbolizes a moment of our character’s life, not only in the narrative sense, but also thematically and aesthetically. As a video game, on the other hand, Arise doesn’t add up to much, as the objectives aren’t clear enough and its controls are less responsive than they should be.
