Chivalry 2 is a great game that always leaves us feeling like returning to the battlefield, surrounded by teammates, running to the front screaming wildly, to handle out the axe once more.

Riot Games enters the world of card games with Legends of Runeterra, a more than interesting title for lovers collectible card games. It's highly recommended, especially for newcomers who are not sure about getting into card games: Legends of Runeterra is going to be one of the best they will find.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is a must if you are interested in adventure or mystery games and detective stories, with great characters, a narrative rhythm that doesn't stop, and several plot twists.

Deadly Premonition 2 has technical problems, a design of yesteryear and several questionable points, but it's a game that stands out for more than the sum of its parts. This isn't a case of "so bad, it's good", it's good because of the inexplicable force that holds each of its sections together. In the end, Deadly Premonition 2 is an oasis of irreverence and rebellion in an industry that is sometimes quite comfortable with its molds. This game breaks them all, unpretentiously and honestly as no other.

Outriders isn't a paradigm shift for third person shooters, but it offers an absolutely irresistible loop of action, looting and micromanagement and, although its presentation isn't at the level of other modern titles, it will always leave us wanting to continue playing.

Ghostwire Tokyo is such a well-rounded game that it's clearly one of the best titles so far this year. The combat, the progression, the way in which Japanese folklore is introduced and the design of the scenarios are the strongest points of an experience that is easy to recommend.

A great opportunity for those who missed this series as well as for those who want to see it at its best, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection does not surprise or disappoint, but manages to thrill gamers just as it did 6 years ago.

Trails of Cold Steel IV is a great farewell letter to the Cold Steel franchise. If you are up to date with the series, then this chapter is a must-play: even when the ending is one of its few drawbacks, it's time to see how the story ends.

Paper Mario: The Origami King is made with care and love; it's clear that its developers know this universe perfectly and adore it as much as Mario fans. Despite some difficulty peaks, bosses are cleverly designed, they are visually striking and some even perform a memorable musical number. There is so much to love about this new Paper Mario and that's why we can't stop recommending it, even with its imperfections.

Samurai Shodown is the reboot the saga needed and one of the best modern fighting games. It has what is needed to become a competitive title on a par with the best games in the genre. It doesn't have much content for those who enjoy single player, but it has a solid base and a balanced and original combat system.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 could have fallen into easy nostalgia. Instead, it lives up to its name. The attention to detail in the easter eggs, the music selection that respects classics like Guerrilla Radio or Superman, the classic outfits combined with the current look of professional skateboarders, all of this makes this game a remake that understands everything and that even laughs at itself.

Resident Evil 3 as a survival horror hits the spot, and, as a remake, it's another great game by Capcom. It feels less unique and less ambitious compared to Resident Evil 2 which, arriving earlier, inevitably kicked in with all its surprises and ended up being the basis for this sequel. Comparisons are inevitable, but this does not mean that Resident Evil 3 does not live up to the expectations, especially with what Nemesis means, a monster that's been causing nightmares for more than 20 years. It's an essentially faithful remake, with few shortcomings and just the right changes to make it worthwhile both for fans and newcomers alike.

Evan's Remains is one of the little surprises of the year. A beautiful game in every way, with great puzzle design which, at the end of the day, leaves us with a memorable experience due to the story and its characters. I can only recommend it.

”Wolves” is as short as it is exciting. It’ll hold our attention at every minute, and the outcome of our choices (even the ones we made in earlier episodes) is as surprising as it should be. Life is Strange 2 aims for impact and importance, and even though the game’s social justice message may be a little naive, the ending works.

Martha is Dead captivates and always leaves you wanting more. It is also, without a doubt, one of the hardest and most deeply themed games I have ever played, bordering on the unbearable at various points. A story like few others, a universe not so explored and unexpected and original twists.

House of Ashes is a great interactive adventure and offers a fantastic story, with a great dose of terror and claustrophobia, and also action and some of the best conflicts between characters in the entire anthology.

12 Minutes is deliberately obtuse and requires us to use our imagination to the fullest. In the end we are going to take an extremely cloudy, but memorable story, worthy of a Black Mirror chapter, with delicious aesthetic and a handful of decisions that will keep us pondering.

While playing PGA Tour 2K21, we find a refreshing and complete game; a worthy representative of golf and a great sports game. Beyond the small imperfections, perhaps its main failure is how familiar it feels to those of us who have been playing The Golf Club regularly.

Dreams is finally out and the creativity of the community is starting to flourish. Even though there are still a lot of clones of other franchises and none of them have a particularly good gameplay, more robust experiences can be found and a few original games can also be a good time. However, the real appeal of Dreams lies in the creative tools and the collective game design that's being built around it. Creators from all over the world are getting together to create games in a platform that is unique and incredibly important to the industry.

Nioh 2 improves upon many of the things that made the first one so great. It does not necessarily represent an evolution of the saga or the souls-like genre but it has many additions that are welcomed. Team Ninja has created some of the most intense and violent combat of this generation, especially when you get to a boss fight. It takes a great deal of patience and plenty of time to master the game, but it's worth it.

Salt and Sacrifice is a worthy sequel to one of the best soulslike games of the previous generation. Instead of resting on its laurels and delivering more of the same, it offers a different experience while retaining the essence of the original and at the end of the day, it succeeds.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity manages to be highly recommended. Even those who don't enjoy Musou games will feel rewarded by how Koei Tecmo and Omega Force managed to translate the Breath of the Wild experience into a very different genre, from the sensations of touring Hyrule and meeting their characters in a story with all the tropes of an anime, to every detai. in combat.

Manor Lords is a title with potential, although we will have to wait patiently to see it. This, undoubtedly, can deter the more impatient from giving it a chance. The progression is slow, and we might have to start several games from scratch to get the hang of it. On the contrary, those who are accustomed to this type of game will find here a beautiful and mechanically impressive city builder. [Early Access Review]

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a sequel that stays true to its roots, but in the best way possible. It recaptures what made the original unique and enhances it with new vocations to choose from and dozens of skills to master. It's an adventure across two gigantic continents to explore, brimming with mysteries and treasures, and a strong presence of mythological beasts to defeat. [Review in Progress]

The Callisto Protocol is a sublime horror experience in atmosphere and immersion, offering a worthy challenge when it comes to single-enemy combat or against a mini-boss. The problem appears when the hordes arrive: when fighting many enemies, the rough combat mechanics are very noticeable. And being such a combat-centric survival horror, these shortcomings keep it from being one of the best of the year. [Review in Progress]

After a year in Early Access, Unrailed is a party game that challenges us to keep a little train rolling towards the next station, having to craft and place the rails on the go. The game offers the option to play single player, but it’s clear the game’s strong point relies on its multiplayer experience. [Early Access Score = 80]
