A fantastic game of a game that didn't really need a remake. Capcom still manages to optimize this 2005 gem into something that feels modern 2023 - even though some of the best sequences from the original are lost in time.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! delivers some excellent samurai action, with a story harkening back to Kurosawa, but there are a few thorns in your side. The game could have benefited of being more remade, the graphics in particular stand out as not quite up to date. There is almost too much side content to take on, I would have preferred fewer but more developed sidestories. Overall though, it’s a really good game that offers many hours of entertainment.

Hogwarts Legacy is a fine action-adventure game with slight RPG-touches. I say "slight" because most of the game mechanics are nowhere near as deep as they have the potential to be. But the spellcasting, atmosphere and hours upon hours of quests, missions and things to do makes up for it.

When the God of War saga makes its Playstation 5 debut, we are treated to a grand adventure with strong characters, bombastic scenes, beautiful vistas, and exciting battles. At the same time, it is a very faithful sequel where it is noticeable that the roots are partly stuck in tech from 2013. In the end, Ragnarök is a worthy sequel and an excellent action game, but we cannot deny that we would have hoped for a little more.

As Nintendo's unique Splatoon series reaches its third installment, the addictive online mode is accompanied by a single player mode that is at least as good. With levels filled with clever and varied ideas, this is Nintendo at its best. Online, much is the same as before - but why fix something that still works well?

With prettier graphics and notably improved physics, F1 22 impresses right out of the gate. Last year's enjoyable story mode is unfortunately gone, and instead we get to play F1 star with luxury watches and clumsy supercars. What a downgrade. Fortunately, the presentation, the career mode and not least the driving experience are better than ever.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is a delightful adventure with clever level design and enjoyable gameplay. The new mouthful mode works surprisingly well and adds a great deal of variety. It’s a shame that the low difficulty makes parts of the adventure somewhat forgettable, but overall - this is one of the best 3D-platformers since Super Mario Odyssey.

Gran Turismo 7 includes the best parts of Gran Turismo Sport, and also marks the return of the classic Gran Turismo single-player campaign. We also get a few new game modes, enhanced gameplay and in parts amazing graphics. Although the realistic environments can look a bit drab at times, and some races are a bit dull, Gran Turismo 7 is the most complete and unitary car game so far.

This brilliant sequel takes all the best parts from its predecessor and turns it up to eleven.

The third entry in this astounding rts-franchise builds on everything we loved about the second. Total War: Warhammer 3 is a love-letter to the Old World and the fantasy genre, and even though we have some gripes with the campaign, we have to take a bow for Creative Assembly.

There is no way around it; Elden Ring is a masterpiece. From Software's iconic gameplay, set in a vast and wonderful world, sucks us right in and never lets go. Even though the hand-holding is close to zero, Elden Ring will surely attract new players due to its more forgiving openness. A must play.

The new version of Pokémon Diamond (and Pearl) gives us the perfect mix of old and new. An easygoing story with dark tendencies spiced with all the improved elements from newer games in the series. The variety is huge and at its best even addictive. However, we can not shake off the fact that the character design itself feels a bit out of place.

Halo Infinte is a fresh new start for the series, one that promises good things to come. The open world means new ways of playing and with the new hookshot it sure is a pleasure to explore the huge surfaces. Unfortunately, there are still many empty areas, something that probably will change in the future. Gameplay is top notch though. Now only the last pieces of the puzzle are missing, parts that could make Halo Infinite the very best of its kind.

Mario Party Superstars is a return to the format that works best for the series. It collects some of the very best mini-games of all time, scattered over the years on five of the series most iconic game boards. But best of all - it is fully playable no matter what type of controller you may have at home. A must for game gatherings in company of good friends.

Like its predecessors, Shin Megami Tensei V in a rpg that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, filled with bizarre and beautifully designed demons and classic rpg battles - which are as difficult as they are entertaining. What is missing, however, are memorable main characters and a story that grabs our interest from the start. But if a challenging combat system and a dark, exciting world are more important than a group of colorful teens saving the world, then Shin Megami Tensei V is the game for you.

Forza Horizon 5 offers more of everything we loved with part four. The competitions are crazier and the exploration more dynamic than ever before. Some elements do seem to go on repeat, but still manage to feel fresh thanks to the environmental change. An adrenaline-filled experience no one should miss, quite simply.

Riders Republic is a game with an annoying attitude, an alarming number of different sports and an overwhelming world map. Despite that, the game impress with great controls, varied challenges and a world filled with fun activities. In addition, the fact that we are not spoiled with well-made ski, snowboard and bike games, makes Riders Republic a more than welcome addition to the genre.

Metroid Dread offers the same old "Metroidvania" concept as before, but also adds completely new exciting and surprising features. The "just one more try" feeling is also constant and does not let go of us until we have really managed to unlock everything.

In Hot Wheels Unleashed you get to drive, jump and slide around creative and demanding tracks. The races are short and intense, and the toy cars feels great to control. The gameplay lacks a bit variation though, and sometimes a second of bad luck can destroy all chances of winning a race. At its best though, Hot Wheels Unleashed can compete with timeless classics such as Ridge Racer 7, Micro Machines V3 and F-Zero GX.

Fifa 22 for the new generation of consoles is a big step forward for both the series and Electronic Arts. The realism is more noticeable this time, while the ball game on the field is more convincing. Sure, there are occasional misses in places, but for the most part, everything from animations to collisions feels completely worthy of the epithet "next generation".

Arkane Studios latest shooter grabs you directly with it's mix of smart gameplay and mysterious storytelling. While the time loop concept is engaging, it's the freedom of mixing between various gameplay styles that makes Deathloop more addicting than other games in the same genre. Although it can get a little tedious with the large amount of intel that is dropped simultaneous from time to time.

Tales of Arise is a Japanese role-playing game of classic proportions. A motley crowd of young heroes sets out to save a world filled with of secrets, beautiful cities, fun battles, and an exciting story. The presentation is uneven, as is the plot - and the gameplay feels a bit too familiar. But for anyone who wants a grand and often beautiful Japanese role-playing game, Tales of Arise is one of the best.

Supergiant Games is an indie studio that goes from strength to strength, and their latest game Hades is a lovely mix of their best ideas. Intense and challenging battles are mixed with fantastic characters in a colorful and lovingly crafted world. Hades in a fantastic action game and well worth all the praise it got last year, although we would have liked to have seen some more improvements and additions compared to the now one-year-old Switch version.

When Codemaster's acclaimed F1 series makes its debut on the new consoles, it is not the enhanced graphics that make the biggest impact, but a brand-new story mode. An exciting addition, which unfortunately does not reach its full potential. Fortunately, the superb career mode is intact and slightly improved, as are the many options available to those who prefer to play online. Although some content has been removed since last year's version, and a few other issues remain, F1 2021 offers almost everything an F1 fan could wish for.

Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: The Official Video Game is a collection of sport games that perfectly capture the essence of the old Track ‘n Field series, mixed with the easygoing sport games from 20 years ago. The game is not perfect by any means, and the lack of depth does make it an ill-fit for lone players. But if you are looking for a fun and competitive yet easy to play sports game for both family and friends – this is it.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is everything we wanted from this long-awaited sequel: fast and entertaining action with a great deal of nostalgia. This truly is action-packed, somewhat brain-dead, platform entertainment at its best.

Take an iconic trilogy of games, all downloadable content and improve the gameplay and graphics - can it end in anything but success? Yes and no. Because while Mass Effect Legendary Edition contains over 100 hours of top-class storytelling, action and exploration, some parts are noticeably outdated - and some new bugs have also been added. Fortunately that does not stop Mass Effect Legendary Edition from being the best way to experience an acclaimed trilogy that stands strong a decade later.

Resident Evil: Village takes the ground work from the seventh part and mixes it together with the very best from the previous Resident Evil titles. It enchants and shocks us at the same time, to the point that we become completely addicted to it. A contemporary classic that sets a new standard, just as Resident Evil 4 once did.

With its fast and fun action, Returnal can look like a cool sci-fi game where tons of enemies turn into colorful explosions at a fast pace. That is also how it feels for a while, until we die. And die and die again. Everything wants to kill us and when we die, we must start all over again – without most of the items, weapons, and enhancements we had collected. It is frustrating, yet we can not wait to restart immediately. We want to keep exploring the sinister world, we want keep fighting against all the horrible creatures – and most of all we want to understand what is happening to Selene. The unforgiving setup will probably divide people, but for anyone with an interest in sci-fi – this is a gem.

Monster Hunter Rise takes the very best from its predecessor and adds features that give the hunt a whole new dimension. Features that makes it really hard for us to stop playing. Just a word of warning for newcomers: This is not a game you learn in an afternoon.

Hazelight is back with the puzzle-filled adventure It Takes Two. Just like in their previous games, the whole adventure revolves around cooperation, but this time in a much more charming and almost excessively varied form - where it sometimes can feel like we are thrown between completely different games. But somehow, the adventure never feels disjointed, rather the opposite. Right from the start, both the world and the gameplay feels perfectly synchronized, and it is a joy to tackle all the obstacles that stand in our way.

There are only a few titles that can give four players in the same room the same rush that Super Mario 3D World does. The improvements in the Switch version are few, but appreciated. In addition, these change the game so much that even veterans should take a look at it. The extra game Bowser's Fury is the icing on the cake and gives you a playful open world sandbox where proven elements meet new features. The result is simply a complete package of sheer platform entertainment.

The Nioh Collection consists of two demanding games in the so-called Soulsborne genre, a genre that in its best moments dances on a fine line between frustration and joy. The two Nioh games offer over 100 hours of just that. It is extremely difficult and frustrating, but also rewarding and fair. In this Playstation 5 incarnation, the two games are better than ever, but at the same time the jump from the original versions is not massive. If you are a fan of the genre and have not played the Nioh games before, however, this is the perfect opportunity.

Persona 5 Strikers is not your usual hack-n-slash game from Omega Force. It is rather a wonderful fusion that takes the best pieces out of the well known Warriors formula and Persona, which is then mixed together into something completely unique. If you are looking for a deeper hack-n-slash, this is the way to go.

Little Nightmares 2 is a brilliant game. Not literally - it's sickly dark and macabre - but in all other aspects! The atmosphere and the audiovisual presentation are difficult to match, while the gaming experience offers a lot of hair-raising moments. The music is also in a class of its own. In terms of game mechanics, however, there is something more to be desired.

After four years, the Hitman trilogy is coming to an end. And what an end it is. Not necessarily in terms of story, but in terms of gameplay, Io Interactive has put together a fantastic sandbox that invites to both brutal, clever, and purely comic murders. Depending on your play style, the game might be too short and easy, but if you let yourself be entranced by the atmosphere and play calmly and methodically, there is a ton a enjoyment to be had here.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity mixes the best of Hyrule Warriors with the aesthetics and mystique of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The result is a truly spectacular action game that not only entertains, but also gives us more of the story and the characters we have come to love. Fans of action games and The Legend of Zelda have a lot to pick up here.

With a generic design and a bit of a bland start, Immortals: Fenyx Rising does not make a particularly great first impression. Less than an hour later our feelings are starting to turn - and after that the game just keeps giving. It is a joy to travel the colorful world and discover imaginative puzzles, tricky challenges, and fun battles. Sure, the adventure is a bit unfocused and somewhat generic, but when the gameplay delivers so much joy, it does not matter much.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an engaging experience unlike anything else. The open world mechanics are top notch and there is almost always something to do on the map. Furthermore, we have a large number of different game paths to choose from, all of which give you a very own experience of the story. Combined with the hundreds of weapons, augmentations, upgrades and side missions, there is plenty of material that will last over a long period of time. Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely be remembered as one of the most significant titles in the history of gaming media.

Demon's Souls is the perfect example of how new hardware can take an existing game to the next level. The aesthetics are top notch and the horsepower of the Playstation 5 makes the world more engaging. But above all, the super-fast loading times help to balance an already ultra-difficult combat system. For those who are up to the challenge, Demon's Souls is the absolute best Sony's new machine has to offer.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a clear upgrade of the original concept. The feeling of being the Spider-Man is constantly there, especially when we swing through a technically impressive Manhattan that we have never seen before in games. It is simply a demonstration and a new standard for how open, endless worlds can be built with the help of the next generation of consoles.

Dirt 5 is an arcade racing game that ticks most of the right boxes. The races are fun and flashy, but also varied and reasonably challenging. The impressive weather effects also elevate the experience. Outside of the races however, there is a clear lack of content. But at the same time; If you want an entertaining rally game that is easy to pick up - Dirt 5 is a great choice.

Valhalla takes us on an emotional roller coaster between hope and disappointment. From a very strong start, to disastrous first few hours of play, to regaining our confidence once again when we discover the many layers and nuances that are hidden in the game. All accompanied by a fantastic story, which is lost in a mess of bugs and lag. Valhalla has all the potential to become a really good game, but stumbles on the execution.

Star Wars Squadrons is a flight action game that succeeds in most areas. The single player campaign is unexpectedly exciting, especially for Star Wars fans. The online part is easy to get into, difficult to master - and even harder to stop playing. However, both the single player campaign and the online mode is in dire need of more content. Although given the relatively low price point and the quality of what we get, it is hard to complain.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time has everything that made Naughty Dog's original trilogy one of the most popular game series of the second half of the 90's. The same addictive gameplay is mixed with new elements we have not seen before in the series. The result is an adventure that we continue to play long after the final scenes have rolled by.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars contains three of Mario's very best adventures, now redesigned to work optimally on the Switch. Being able to carry these classics is a joy, and all the titles have been spruced up compared to their models. In terms of gameplay, the games have aged with dignity and hold up surprisingly well in a post-Super Mario Odyssey world. However, we do miss Super Mario Galaxy 2.

It took a while, but with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2, the series is finally great again. Sure, it's a little strange that the series reaches its former glory in a remake where the track design and gameplay are largely intact compared to the 20 year old original games, but it shows what a perfect concept Neversoft created over 20 years ago. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is not only the perfect game for old fans who want to relive the happy days of life, but also for new players who want an easily accessible yet deep skateboarding game.

Tell Me Why combines sharp storytelling, mystery and heavy atmosphere. The result is a family thriller that touches, but may not always go into depth. Freedom of choice around the game's crucial moment adds an extra spice, and Dontnod does not shy away from portraying things that can be really difficult. Highly recommended.

Paper Mario: The Origami King lacks innovation and variety when it comes to combat, but balances with an incredibly detailed world and fantastic dialogue. This game is simply a must in the platform enthusiast's collection.

It took a console generation, but with Playstation 4 and Xbox One on their last leg, Codemaster does pretty much everything right with F1 2020. Last year's excellent version has been expanded with a greatly improved career mode where, in addition to driving, we also get to control our own team in detail. Outside of the that addition however, much is the same as F1 2019. If you do not care about a career mode or updated drivers and teams, you will be fine with last year's version. For F1 fans, however, F1 2020 is in many ways a perfect racing experience.

Ghost of Tsushima is Sucker Punch Production's most ambitious game to date, and that's something that permeates through the whole adventure. It is an epic samurai tale that balances well between action segments and the story driven adventure. A tale where we choose our own path, one which always offers more to explore just when we think we've seen it all.

51 Worldwide games is one of the most complete mini-game collections available today. Card games and classic table games blend nicely with the more action-packed ones, such as bowling and air hockey. Thus, we have always something that is suitable for all occasions and that also utilizes the Switch console's different modes of play. In addition this digital collection also is much easier to transport comparing to their physical counterparts.

Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath is a modern take on the "Game of the Year" collections that are common in the fighting genre. It has excellent new additions to the character roster and an even more twisted story. Adding that to the already existing content makes this package one of the most complete fighting games.

Zombies, survival elements and a brutal combat system is a great foundation. Moreover, with advanced control and detailed environments, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is a top VR-game in most regards. The fact that Playstation VR and the old Move controls are capable of such an advanced game is impressive, even though some necessary compromises are hard to ignore.

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is an enhanced version of a 10-year-old Nintendo Wii classic. While it is debatable whether all the upgrades are significant enough, the enhancements we do get are very noticeable. But above all, we get to revisit a rpg that, if you can forgive some outdated aspects, is still one of the best the genre has to offer.

Naughty Dog has not only succeeded in following up their 2013 masterpiece, but also refined all the different elements in the sequel. The story is more complicated and also more relatable. The characters feel more alive than in other games and the surroundings are among the most impressive we have seen in gaming. But most of all, we appreciate the message the game carries constantly in the background. A message that reminds itself long after the game's ending has rolled.

Rarely have we felt as ridiculously cool as when we are playing Huntdown. Everything from graphics and music to gameplay is top-notch and every level is packed with non-stop and often hilarious action. Sure, the graphics may be a bit chaotic at times, and sometimes it feels like luck plays a bigger role than skills. But overall, Huntdown is a fantastic shooter in a beautiful retro package.

With smarter opponents, improved physics and an enhanced career mode, Moto GP 20 is a step up from last year’s successful version in most ways. Unfortunately, a couple of odd bugs have been added, while the MotoE class and junior cup (temporarily?) are removed. But despite a few missteps, Moto GP 20 is the best motorcycle racing game on the market and an excellent complement to regular car racing games.

Gears Tactics is exactly what the series needed after six similar titles. It introduces a whole new way to explore the Locust infested environments but also retains what makes the series so great. The battles are really addictive and the only thing really missing here is a multiplayer mode.

Initially we were a little skeptical of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Our expectations were so high, but we got bored by the repetitive tasks. However, after about five hours something happens with the game. The Animal Crossing spirit engulfs us for real, and we reach for our Switch as soon as we get the chance. Not to put us in for hours, but just to check the location of our island a few minutes at a time. It is a game that we don't love intensely, but rather a game that follows us through the days. And we suspect that will be the case for a long while.

Just like last year's Resident Evil 2 remake, Resident Evil 3 is a great new version of a 20-year-old horror classic. Unlike part 2, however, this time Capcom has, for better or worse, departed from the original game in several ways. It is still a great adventure that is more focused on action than horror. But just like 20 years ago, Resident Evil 3 never reaches the same highs as its predecessor - which on the other hand is not a bad score at all.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is everything we expected and then some. The premise is the same as in 1997, but there is still plenty of new material for those who want to explore more of Midgar and its inhabitants. In addition, elements such as the story and the combat are more like a modern take. That makes this throwback even more pleasant.

Following up on an already excellent game like Doom 2016 is no easy task. Doom Eternal however, manages to kick it's precursor on all counts. The world is more engaging and varied in design. The monsters are rawer and bloodier while the weapons are more imaginative and have tons of modifications. Too bad that we also have to build our character in a role-playing like mode and are forced to watch the uninteresting story. It slows down an otherwise near excellent adrenaline-filled rush of a game.

Two Point Hospital is a spiritual sequel to the 90’s classic Theme Hospital. The goal is to build hospitals, hire staff, attract patients, ensure that the budget is kept up and so on. That may not sound very fun at all, but thanks to a lot of humor, easy-going gameplay, a well-balanced difficulty level and constant rewards, it is easy to get sucked into the hospital world for hours. Two Point Hospital is simply a modern version of the laid-back and fun-filled simulators that charmed the gaming world 20 years ago.

Star Wars Pinball is a collection containing all the Star Wars tables that were previously released as downloadable content for Pinball FX3. Most of the included tables are very well-made and offers good diversity and fun mini games. Although, if you have no interest in pinball games, or Star Wars for that matter, you will not find much joy here. For everyone else, however, this is a great warm-up for the final part of the Skywalker saga.

Several of the new features in Football Manager 2020 hit just right, especially for players who prioritize long "saves" over jumping between different clubs. Our biggest dissatisfaction concerns the match engine, where obvious deficiencies tend to create unnecessary annoyance. But new depth and even more focus on talent development makes this year's version of Football Manager at least as good as last years.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is something as unusual as a pretty damn great single player Star Wars game. The different worlds are a joy to explore, while the combat make you feel like a mighty jedi while still being challenging. It's a shame the game feels so unpolished and somewhat unfinished, but luckily the problems aren't big enough to ruin the overall experience. On the contrary; Fallen order is best single player Star Wars game since Republic Commando.

Death Stranding is unlike anything we have played before, despite it's obvious influences from previous Kojima games. And just as in his other works, there are a number of messages and meta discussions engraved in the experience, which certainly will again deter those who only want to play casually. No offense to that, but in the case of Death Stranding, it probably just makes the experience more difficult to digest. It requires a more open mind than other games. Partly because the story is a bit more overwhelming than usual, but also because the deliveries we actually have to make can feel repetitive if we lose the overall picture. For those who are still willing to try something new it's one of the most unique experiences in years. A journey that affects the entire emotional spectrum and that makes us reflect far beyond the final credits.

The Outer Worlds is an extremely familiar experience that successfully draws inspiration from some of the most appreciated gaming series of the 21st century. It's well written with lots of exciting twists in the story and has lots of memorable moments. The character gallery and humor definitely carry the story and although some elements could have been improved, we still are very fond of Obsidian's new space opera.

Saber Interactive has set a new standard for Switch conversions - now other developers can no longer blame the hardware. It is not a perfect depiction of the earlier versions technically, but that was never really the point. For those who intend to play on the TV, then console or PC versions are preferred. But if you want to carry with you one of the biggest adventures of recent years, there is no doubt. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on Switch contains everything we loved about Geralt's latest adventure and is the ultimate proof that the game has unbelievably more substance than just a detailed world.

Borderlands 3 is another excellent game in the series that started the whole "looter shooter" genre. Tight controls, non stop action and a great variety of stages make us want to explore even more all the time. Some parts of the dialogues may feel slightly over the top though. And as the subgenre's name suggests, the whole thing is to loot weapons, which in the long run may be to repetitive for some. Gearbox did not revolutionize the genre this time around, but instead refined it's own concept a notch.

It should be said at once: if you expect the same experience as in Breath of the Wild, you should wait for the sequel instead. The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is rather a throwback to simpler times and has completely different qualities to offer. Even though, the journey itself is filled with wonderful side characters, colorful enemies and a certain mystery that is not found in other Zelda games. It's like as a small vacation resort, a place where we can sit back and relax after the fierce battle against Ganon in Breath of the Wild.

It's difficult not to be delighted that the most misunderstood Final Fantasy game is finally getting another chance to shine. As we all known, Squall and the rest of the Seed gangs adventures are a bit difficult to keep up with, especially for those who are used to the traditional stories from other games. And we probably would have preferred that all the characters in the game received the same treatment as our main characters regarding models. But we still dare to say that anyone who looks beyond the unusual, and gives part eight a fair chance, can look forward to perhaps the most unique game in the series.

With great graphics, a surprisingly decent story and meaty battles with an extra tactical layer thanks to Jack the flying robot, Gears 5 surprises us a whole lot. We were skeptical at first, but The Coalition has managed to outshine Epic’s Gears of War titles in most ways. Just beware of all the bugs.

Iceborne is a massive addition to an already huge and vibrant Monster Hunter world. Anyone who has played through and appreciated Monster Hunter World simply has zero reason not to invest in Iceborne. The ones who know, know. And If you don't know, it's time to start practicing.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a new start for the series that also got the new ideas of its predecessor right. Although the weapon triangle is still missing, what we get this time turned out to be much deeper and better. It takes time to experiment and switch between different job types, but in the end you can have an army that is completely unique to your particular game type. And when we are tired of fighting, it is extremely gratifying to exchange all that for pure conversations and lessons, while still giving our characters experience points. Fans who were discouraged by Shadows of Valentia can thus breathe peacefully. Fire Emblem: Three Houses shows that the series is back on its feet again, better than ever.

Despite a couple of compromises regarding the controls, we still find it difficult to stop playing Super Mario Maker 2. Creating your dream courses has never been more fun, and what we lose without the Wii U stylus we gain back through the large number of accessories and the 3D World Mode. The concept of downloading new courses can i theory keep the game alive for years to come. It could very well be the last 2D Mario you'll ever need to buy.

Like its predecessor, Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a great mix of Japanese role-playing games, The Sims and Minecraft. It is very similar to the original; not least the graphics, building and combat, although many small improvements enhances the experience a great deal. With a successful mix of creative construction, exciting exploration, and easy-going combat Dragon Quest Builders 2 is one of Square Enix best games on Playstation 4.

Moto GP 19 does not disappoint when it comes to licenses and content. We get the drivers, teams and courses for both the Moto GP series as well as several underlying divisions – and all the vehicles feels great to drive. All in all, it is an excellent game for fans of Moto GP, but if you do not mind racing with four wheels instead of two there are many better racing games to choose from.

The tricky controls combined with the challenging level of difficulty and the unforgiving build of the tracks make Crash Team Racing a satisfying experience for the accustomed player - but a frustrating experience for the novice who is looking for a nice and relaxing game to enjoy with friends. This is simply the game for those who are tired of injustice and the simplicity of games like Mario Kart, but no complement for those looking for a party game.

Judgment has everything that makes Yakuza such a unique experience. From crazy side quests and super serious story bits to classic arcade games and intuitive battles. But it's also a fresh new beginning with new interesting characters and exciting fresh gameplay mechanics, making it a great entry point for newcomers and a welcome return for old fans.

Blood and Truth is in many ways a perfect game-incarnation of a stupid action movie. You shoot and run while stuff keeps exploding all around - but thanks to the great gunplay and varied levels it never gets boring. If you want to feel like a real action movie hero, this game is for you.

Since we took our first steps in Avalanche Studios' post-apocalypse, we have had a hard time putting the control aside. The combination of an open world, mutant freaks and super powers is too entertaining, actually far above our expectations. Along with the eminent control and the dynamic battles, it makes Rage 2 one of the year's most addictive titles to date.

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age is even better now that we can follow Vaan, Balthier and the gang on the couch, during the train or vacation. Functions like fast forwarding and auto-saving come in handy when we explore huge catacombs and endless fields, especially for portable gaming.

One of the year's most cozy experiences so far. Image & Form Games has taken the charm of previous games and merged it with a fast battle system that never feels boring. Together with the wonderful environments and the funny dialogue, we have a game that, in its best moments, is reminiscent of the feeling of the very best in the genre.

With jaw-dropping graphics, fantastic music, great gameplay, likeable characters - and terrifying hordes - it is hard to tell that Days Gone is Bend Studios first truly big-budget game. Even though the game is not as polished as the best first party games from Sony, it still might end up as one this year’s best single player experiences.

The Division 2 is a safe but overall well-made sequel. Although the most noticeable difference compared to the predecessor might be the shift from winter to spring, there have been several improvements that do a lot for the gameplay - not the least in terms of combat. Liberating Washington is also just as fun and rewarding today as it was to help New York three years ago. If you want a more down to earth online action game, The Division 2 is the game for you.

The combination of classic action titles with the Dark Souls formula is truly phenomenal. Sekiro shows that there is room for complex games, although the high degree of difficulty is likely to discourage many.

A wonderful reimagination of a beloved classic, Resident Evil 2 hits home with great atmosphere and horror-inducing gameplay. Some slight tempo issues aside, this is a must buy for virtually every survival horror fanatic out there.

Twelve and a half years have passed since the last great Ace Combat game. Fortunately, Project Aces have ignored recent years' failures and instead delivers a game that might be the best in the series. Sure, we would have liked some more memorable missions, a more cohesive story and a better checkpoint system. But other than that, there is not much to complain about. The sky and airplanes look wonderful, while the improved physics makes the flying feel better than ever - not least thanks to the well-made weather effects. Gameplay-wise Ace Combat 7 is the best flight action game ever, and an absolute must for all everyone who dreamed about sitting in a fighter jet.

Can there be such a thing as too much content? According to Super Smash Bros Ultimate the answer is clearly no. With tons of characters, arenas, settings and game modes, this is by far the most complete Super Smash game yet. It is just as good as a single player experience, as it is with friends - at least if you do not want to play online. The Gamecube classic Super Smash Bros Melee has finally been defeated.

Swedish pen and paper meets Xcom in a brilliant, post-apocalyptic wasteland. Oozing with atmosphere and intense battles, this little gem of a game should not be overlooked.

Despite its generic title Black Ops IV feels like a fresh start for Call of Duty. The multiplayer and the zombie mode is very much the same as always, but with Blackout, Treyarch takes everything that is good with Player Unknown's Battleground and makes it better.

Battlefield V is a welcome return to the fast paced massive multiplayer games that the series is known for. Even though it lacks in map counts and has a few missing modes that are coming in the future it is a surprisingly complete package. It makes a very competent first impression and promises a longevity that Battlefield 1 never did.

With beautiful worlds and family-friendly action, Spyro Reignited Trilogy Spyro delivers pure gaming joy and is perfect for both nostalgics and kids who have not played a Spyro game before. It is somewhat noticeable that the core mechanics are over 15 years old, but overall the annoyances are easy to forgive.

Rockstar's eye for detail, presentation and tongue-in-cheek-storytelling makes this one an instant classic. Red Dead Redemption 2 is the ultimate Wild West sandbox-experience everyone has been waiting so very patiently for. It gives us more of everything we loved about the original and then takes it to a completely new level.

With a fresh Champions League-licence, more realistic movements on the pitch and a slew of crazy new rulesets, FIFA 19 is one of the best instalments in the series we've seen in recent years.
