ArtePiazza understood what elements needed to be improved to deliver a remake that went beyond better graphics. This is Super Mario RPG for a new era and a new audience, with improvements that bring it closer to modern standards. It's hard to say that the remake will replace the gem that is the original, but it's another jewel that deserves to sit alongside it.- LevelUp

Dispatch is one of the best graphic adventures out there, and it has already earned its place among the heavyweights of the genre, games that are now remembered with nostalgia. The integration of its parts is perfect, resulting in an entertaining, fun, and exciting experience that keeps you engaged. Its greatest strength lies in its refusal to try to legitimize itself as a video game by adding complex or pretentious sections. What you see is what you get, and it's rarely the case that it's perfectly balanced. A truly delightful surprise and, without a doubt, an experience you should have, because gaming isn't all about AAA titles or the torment of complexity and difficulty.- LevelUp

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on Nintendo Switch 2 delivers a surprisingly strong portable experience. While limited to 30 fps and showing occasional performance dips, the game looks great on the console’s screen and includes all major content, including the Yuffie episode. It’s an excellent option for players who want to experience one of Square Enix’s most ambitious RPGs anywhere, even if it’s not the definitive technical version.- LevelUp

The wait was worth it. Final Fantasy XV is one of the best games in the series since the PS2 era. Its graphical quality is impeccable, character design is also terrific. The battle system, despite some camera issues, is fun and enjoyable. Thanks to Yoko Shimomura, the music feels great, dramatic and fun. The game has a lot of content and very high standards when it comes to animations. FFXV may have some glitches here and there, but that does not affect the overall experience. Final Fantasy XV is a game that veteran and new fans will enjoy from beginning to end.- LevelUp

By staying true to its roots and adding some modern design elements, Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age stands as a compelling JRPG that is a perfect starting point for any gamer that wants to know what the Dragon Quest craze in Japan is all about. It's not that common that a game as extravagant as this one manages to offer such a fun story, deep gameplay and a great soundtrack. Volition focused on offering a great dose of raw fun and they succeeded. As the last game of the series, Saints Row IV delivers everything that we wanted to see in it and even a bit more.- LevelUp

Brutal from start to finish, Nioh 2 turns its outstanding combat system into a deadly dance that knows how to be cruel with defeat, but honorable with victory. It may not be far from the first game, but it was enough to refine the elements that founded the franchise to deliver one of the best titles of the closing of this generation.- LevelUp

Borderlands 3 is one of the best games of the year and without a doubt the best game in the franchise to date Yes, it's more of the same, but consider it quantitatively: more action, more chaos, more weapons, more possibilities, more roads, bigger stages, more impressive battles, etc. Do you have a problem with that?- LevelUp

Aether & Iron is a stylish and ambitious narrative RPG set in a retrofuturistic 1930s New York. Its strongest elements are its rich worldbuilding, sharp social themes, and noir-inspired storytelling, driven by meaningful choices and an introspective protagonist. While its tactical combat and RPG systems take a back seat, the game excels where it matters most, delivering a cohesive, immersive experience that feels fresh and distinct.- LevelUp

Thanks to the way in which the history of video games developed, Metroidvania as a genre continues to nourish the romanticism that surrounds the titles that gives it a name. In that sense, Guacamelee!2 is a worthy representative of the genre since it complies with the elements required to be approved by enthusiasts, old and new school players. As promised, DrinkBox Studios has taken the series to the next level and everything has been greatly improved. The merit of the Canadian studio is that the game is capable of expressing itself through its mechanics.- LevelUp

An excellent follow-up to its memorable predecessor, Fire Emblem Fates offers accessibility for the newcomer and strategic depth to the veteran in any of its versions and it's a remarkable and flawlessly executed sequel that sets the bar very high for future releases of the franchise; however, newbies must beware from the infernal difficulty of the Conquest version, which is relentless and unforgiving, only fit for the seasoned enthusiast.- LevelUp

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth shows just how special video games can be when they try to be just that: games. While some studios are busier turning their releases into virtual storefronts and others manage unsustainable budgets in hopes of finally getting Hollywood's approval, RGG Studios simply sought to pamper their fans by squeezing the most out of the possibilities in front of them.- LevelUp

Skate Story isn’t played, it’s felt: every trick is a cry of freedom and every fall a reminder of the pain that runs through it. With its hypnotic aesthetic and atmosphere heavy with symbolism, it turns skateboarding into a dark and fascinating ritual. More than a game, Animal Crossing: New Leaf is a habit. We are not afraid to say that New Leaf is the best title in the series. The developer managed to exploit the 3DS' capabilities to offer a game experience that, while not groundbreaking, feels very polished and handcrafted. Players capable of enjoying noncompetitive games will find in New Leaf hundreds of hours of content and a lovely place to relax and spend time. This game is a very good reason to own a Nintendo 3DS.- LevelUp
