SILENT HILL: The Short Message speaks to the transcendental nature of P.T. for the survival horror genre as we know it today—a monument of great cultural importance within the industry, now lost thanks to Konami. Above all, it demonstrates the enormous magnitude of P.T. as a unique work, imitated a thousand times but never equaled. What we get in 2024 is a tasteless simulation, lacking any genuine, reflective, or penetrating qualities.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is nothing more than a failed project that should have been cancelled, but since it is a lucrative IP, it was released to the market to deceive the unwary and that, gentlemen, is a scam that should not be be tolerated in this industry.

Redfall is an amalgamation of ideas from other more popular video games, however, lacking in its own originality and entertainment value.

Evidently, Battlefield 2042 was not ahead of schedule. The game greatly suffers from an incapacity to fundamentally understand what makes Battlefield a Battlefield game. EA and DICE failed to understand the assignment: this game is not what long time Battlefield veterans want to play.

GTA: The Trilogy has a total lack of attention to details. At times it seems that Rockstar Games didn't even bother to oversee the work of Grove Street Games. There are some moments and small details that lead one to think that an algorithm was responsible for remastering the graphics and that no human reviewed the final product. GTA deserves more.

With a lack of direction and filled with bugs, Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a mess of a game. Don’t buy this.

Just Sing seemed like a good idea when the trailer of the game was first shown... the result is different, though. The companion app does not work as it was supposed to and the experience of a great singing performance is not gratifying. This is merely a poor Just Dance adaptation to a karaoke game. The only salvageable aspect of Just Sing is a music selection made to please all tastes.

Visually beautiful but plagued with tedious and sometimes broken gameplay, The Tomorrow Children is a failed Utopia: an amazing concept that somehow has gone very wrong.

A lethargic, dismal experience, Federation Force is not the franchise-killing disaster most make it out to be, but it definitely isn't worth your time at all.

More of an amateur programming exercise than an actual game, Hunter's Legacy, a Metroidvania without a single slope, pales in comparison with almost every game of the genre in the past 30 years.

Umbrella Corps is a great idea with really poor development and a lousy execution. Somebody should have checked the game twice before release, because the mechanics and gameplay are absolutely awful. The only mode that could keep you relatively engaged would be the single player mode because the multiplayer front is completely deserted.

An insult to thousands of backers, Mighty No. 9 is an exercise in mediocrity aggravated by appealing visuals and performance problems. A train-wreck of a project.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 is the worst entry in a series that was never good anyway. The production values are abysmal and the new features are shallow and insufficient. The game is simply not worth it even if you are a Dead or Alive fan.

Its gameplay may be solid but Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash is a very weak package that lacks campaign or training modes. You can't help but feel that this was rushed to fill a gap in the Wii U's release calendar for this Christmas. The multiplayer component could at least give some hours of fun to those players looking for a challenge with the best of the best.

The first 3D simulator of bullfighting. The hideous presentation and repetitive mechanics of Toro greatly hinder what could have been a great game because of its mostly solid foundations. Frankly, a pretty bad defense for such a polemic practice.

Destroying cities and fighting other Kaijus is fun at first, but the joy Godzilla offers vanishes in a couple of gaming sessions. Godzilla was created for the fans, but at some point the development took a turn for the worse and it ended up turning into a game that would've been better on mobile.

Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal ends up being a product that fails on the most basic design elements, perhaps due to lack of time, money or just love for the franchise. Its pursuit of innovation in gameplay mechanics is commendable, but everything turns into a disaster by notorious negligence on the development side.

Tenkai Knights: Brave Battle is a disappointing adaptation that had everything to become an excellent comeback to the days of the GameBoy Advance. Its controls are frustrating, its stages are boring and not very different, and its gameplay is extremely repetitive. With a deeper, or at least better told, story along with improvements in its overall mechanics, this title would have been a much more enjoyable and entertaining experience, but due to all the design flaws it contains, you will not want to play it after trying it for 10 or 15 minutes.

Risen 3: Titan Lords disappoints on even the most basic elements, which perhaps with a little more time could've been fixed. It's a shame, because we can tell that deep inside lays a game that tries to offer hundreds of hours of fun. Sadly, though, the only surprising thing about this is that it found its way to the shelves.

Disney Magical World lacks challenge and appeal, even for a game that's aimed towards kids. The game features lots of content, however, most of it is reused many times, and that turns this “magical adventure” into a tedious and boring experience.

Young Justice: Legacy proves once again that making a game just for the sake of taping into the appetite for another product, in this case, the cartoon, is a bad idea. Freedom Factory neglected the game all around and only the most enthusiastic fans of the cancelled TV series will enjoy it to some extent.

Ryse represents all that is wrong with the current AAA videogame model: it's epic, but superfluous; its main game mechanics are shallow and boring; its plot is full of Hollywood clichés and, in the end, it feels more like a marketing tool than a real effort to provide gamers with something meaningful and with value.
