The game is littered with fan service and was clearly made by people who love the property. In a way, that’s what makes it so frustrating.

All in all, there may not be enough substance for a gamer to really stick around and play the game more than a few times in curiosity.

Its poor graphics, repetitive missions and awful controls make this Godzilla a bad videogame.

While it does have a lot of fan service, it really doesn’t have much else besides clunky gameplay, horrible visuals, and repetitive gameplay.

Bumbling combat, laughable visuals, and terribly overpriced.

You would think a game in which you can pimp-slap a moth as a 40ft-tall garbage monster couldn’t possibly be that bad. You would, however, be wrong.

But if you are a huge Godzilla fan it has plenty of play through value, trophies to earn and online play!

Highly recommend for the Godzilla fans out there! This game gets a lot of negative press but I love it!

My problem with reviews of this game is a lack of perspective.

People want this game to be a sharp, controlled fighter, when it's really a movie simulator! People complain the graphics look PS2, when apparently they've never seen these films! The special effects and very way the building fall apart is straight out of a Toho film. The models might as well be direct scans of the SH MonsterArts toy line!

The controls are designed to feel exactly how you should, Iike a behemoth that shouldn't be able to move around fast in the first place! If you make a mistake charging and miss you opponent, you get punished and have to slow turn. That is what I expect to happen!

The detailed sound effects of this game blow my mind! Not only does every monster use the correct roars from their films, but the very SFX they make when they fall is the same. That's the kind of attention to detail someone puts in when they care about what they're making! I personally lost my mind when they queued up Akira Ifukube's Military Marches at each Disaster Level!

The multi-player itself is something different. It's plotting and methodical. You can't just run in and expect to win by spamming. You have to watch you opponents for opening.

Is it a fan service game? Absolutely!
    Is it grindy? Yes.
Is it something the average Battlefield player should play? No, because this isn't their game!

This game was developed to correlate movement, visual gameplay, roster, and mechanics to that of the movies so thoroughly that it makes you think of how unauthentic previous Godzilla "fighter" games (Save the Earth, Unleashed..) were compared to this. This is the Godzilla movies..in a game. His interactions with the environment, encounters with other monsters, and sluggish movement all give you that authentic feel of what Godzilla should be in game. The only downside would be graphics ( which aren't terrible for a PS3 port ), for the power PS4 holds the graphics could have definitely been better. Beside that, A+ in my book. Expand

The Last of Us Remastered and Godzilla. When I saw Angry Joes review for the game, I decided to wait for the price to drop before picking up the game. I am disappointed that the latest Godzilla game isn't that great. As a game its incredibly repetitive and and lacking content.

But I'm a hardcore Godzilla fan and I actually did enjoy running around as a kaiju destroying buildings(you'd think someone would make an open world godzilla game like that) and fighting other monsters even if the combat in the game is simple. It's fun unlocking my favorite kaijus and playing as them, that entertained me, but after playing through the campaign over 100 time, I've gotten sick of it and needed a break.

This game could of been so much more and it's not worth buying if you're not a hardcore Godzilla fan. For Hardcore Godzilla fans this isn't worth buying new or full price, go out and buy a cheap use copy if your curious.

I cannot understand how anyone would give this a game a 10..., even if you are a trophy collector and/or a Godzilla fan. If you are lookingI cannot understand how anyone would give this a game a 10..., even if you are a trophy collector and/or a Godzilla fan. If you are looking for some remotely easy trophies then at best rent this game. If you are a Godzilla fan, rent this game. I bet the reviewers that gave this a 10 are just trying to compensate for spending $60 on a game that should not have cost more than $5. I took a gamble on renting this game, even when the trailer accurately depicts the game - HORRIBLE!!!! If you rate this game a 10, then you are saying that Godzilla is just as good as GTA V, The Last of Us, The Witcher, or similar title. Come on guys/gals, 10, really?????? Expand

This game is garbage! I wasted sixty bucks on this abomination. This game makes Sonic 06 look like Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in comparison. This game is garbage! I wasted sixty bucks on this abomination. This game makes Sonic 06 look like Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in comparison. Although, there's a few, very few positives.

The game gets the many monsters that have appeared throughout Godzilla history spot on. From Mothra to Rodan and Mechagodzilla to King Ghidorah, fans will adore seeing each kaiju pop up for a brawl from time to time. The monster roster's a decent size it's one of the title's strongest positives. What's more, each beast has its own set of unique moves, and you can even upgrade their abilities via Evolve mode, which sees you unlock upgrades on a skill tree by using collectible items earned from bashing other enemies.

There's really no story here in the main King of Destruction campgain because I only did it in forty minutes. Gameplay is dull. All you do is destroy generators or either battle other kaijus. That is it! Really!

Gameplay is too repetitive and I can't stop saying "He's a kaiju, not a god!"

Oh yeah, I forgot! You need to complete the campgain numerous times to unlock other kaiju, which is full of bull****

The King of Kaijus mode is the best thing about this game. Although, no local multiplayer, you can choose to play as other kaiju (whom you unlocked) and play against the CPU.

I'd give it a 2/10 if there was any emotion on this game but NOOOO! We get a horrible PS4 port of a horrible PS3 game... No effort at all.

Also, why was Yoko Ono, John Lennon's wife involved in development of this game. Very confusing and funny. Maybe that's why this game flopped like a plate of jelly!!

As a Japan fan, I'm heavily disgusted by this game.
