No doubt: Resident Evil 4 Remake is simply an excellent horror action game and Capcom proves, for the umpteenth time, its ability to produce a controlled adventure with an exemplary finish. The basics of the original game couldn't be more solid, but the firm has been able to modernize the whole thing to make the adventure more intense, deeper in its game systems and even more thrilling. Was a remake necessary? Maybe not, but impossible to spit on this impressive version, which knows how to honor the original material as well as to bring it a rejuvenation that is ultimately very relevant. Finally, if we have a mad desire to finish Resident Evil 4 as soon as possible, it is to start it again immediately.- Jeuxvideo.com

With Bayonetta Origins, Platinum Games is stepping out of its comfort zone to offer a more relaxed experience, and it's succeeded. Thanks to its sublime colorful art direction, Cereza's first adventure draws inspiration from storybooks to deliver a visual rendering that retains its charm until the end. Controller in hand, the title takes up elements of Bayonetta 3 by making us control two characters simultaneously for an approach as original as it is confusing at first glance. Finally, it is especially by its well-paced progression that the experience captivates the player, alternating fights and puzzles with great fluidity, even if we tend to see the structure repeating itself at the end of the game. For all these reasons, Bayonetta Origins is a friendly and charming adventure that takes pride of place among the Nintendo Switch exclusives.- Jeuxvideo.com

After Nioh, Team Ninja once again proves its great mastery of action-RPG with Wo Long Fallen Dynasty. Admittedly, the copy is not perfect (bestiary not provided enough, rather disappointing endgame, side missions which take up areas already visited) but the gameplay is so solid that we are ready to excuse almost everything! Here, it's all about parry, martial arts and spells, in a novel approach for the genre. Most of the atmospheres are successful, there is plenty to choose your path as a warrior and everything is even more accessible than the studio's Japanese Souls-like. An excellent pickaxe, which is also available "day one" in the Xbox Game Pass.- Jeuxvideo.com

Little promoted by Nintendo, and looking like a typical end-of-life port of a console, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe was not going to leave us with an imperishable memory. However, beyond a very nice HD remaster which graphically puts it at the level of Kirby Star Allies (which it surpasses in terms of gaming experience), the title of HAL Laboratory is distinguished by the substantial amount of new content generously inflating its lifespan. Whether solo or multiplayer, this new part of the franchise is more gourmet than you could have imagined, will give you plenty to enjoy for many hours, and fully deserves its "Deluxe" version label.- Jeuxvideo.com

Frankly stunningly beautiful, Atomic Heart opens with stunning architecture and a catchy pitch before unfolding a story that struggles a little to convince and lets out dozens of dialogues that can make you wince. Remains a rather decent gameplay divided between classic and robust combat, hyper clever puzzles and barely decent platforming.- Jeuxvideo.com

Octopath Traveler had set the bar so high in 2018 that it was not certain that its successor would manage to do as well. If it is not necessarily very daring in terms of novelties, this second opus above all strives to refine an already almost perfect formula by integrating ever more subtleties. Fascinating in terms of the scenario, the game system and the strategy resulting from the fights, the title also displays a mastery of HD-2D more fascinating than ever with striking light effects. Too bad the emotion is a little less palpable throughout the adventure.- Jeuxvideo.com

Like a Dragon: Ishin! provides the show and offers fans of the "Yakuza" saga an epic feudal epic at will. This remake in no way distorts the original 2014 experience, but modernizes the visuals and gameplay enough to make the adventure memorable a decade later. Ishin! is not perfect, far from it, and has some shortcomings, especially technical. However, the pleasure of playing a “Yakuza” game is there, and that is the main thing.- Jeuxvideo.com

Without revolutionizing the genre, Wild Hearts offers a direct approach to the game of hunting. With the mechanics of the Karakuris, the fights take advantage of a strategic dimension thanks to these constructions that are effective both against monsters and to adjust the levels in its own way. Far from forgetting the essential, the experience of Omega Force offers a nervous and dynamic gameplay, characteristic of the studio, supported by a limited, but varied arsenal.- Jeuxvideo.com

Instead of running out of steam over time, Blanc has therefore chosen a brief adventure that can be consumed in one evening, which may disappoint some. In the end, it's a blessing in disguise that allows Blanc to be connected with what he is: a small and pretty fable that we will not soon forget.- Jeuxvideo.com

It took us months to pick up previous Theatrhythms and now Square Enix and IndiesZero are bringing us back into the rhythm game frenzy with Final Fantasy sauce. In addition to the incredible musical journey it offers us, this title shines with its phenomenal tracklist and the formidable efficiency of its game system. Accessible or demanding (your choice, depending on your mastery of the gameplay), Theatrhythm Final Bar Line risks keep you busy for a very long time, especially if you extend the experience by challenging other players online.- Jeuxvideo.com

Metroid Prime Remastered is a rare gem, unquestionably the best FPS from a machine that perhaps still lacked a benchmark at this level, and above all, it testifies 20 years later to the absolute genius of what constituted one of the greatest history video games.- Jeuxvideo.com

What an adventure ! Hogwarts Legacy is definitely the game all Harry Potter fans have been waiting for. Beautiful, lively, exhilarating and surprising, it drips with passion and magic and is a real pleasure to browse. But that's not all ! With its very good ideas, its world just waiting to be explored, its art direction to die for and its combat system as addictive as it is magical, it is quite simply an excellent action and adventure game. We would have liked choices with more impact or a proposal a little off the beaten track. As you will have understood, there are many things to say about Hogwarts Legacy. But to leave you the surprise, we let you discover the magic of this game which will very clearly mark the year 2023. And, who knows, it may be a potential good candidate for the GOTY...- Jeuxvideo.com

What a slap! With this luminous shadow drop sold at a low price and integrated into the Game Pass, Bethesda sends the conventions of the video game industry waltzing away. From the waltz to Tango Gameworks, there is only one step that we invite you to take without delay. After fear, the studio brilliantly relies on ardor. Hi-Fi RUSH plays a score of all the devils where rhythm, platform and fight form an euphoric melody and without major false note. By playing on the measures but having fun in excess, this rush is our crush from the beginning of the year.- Jeuxvideo.com

A purely atmospheric experience, Season: a letter to the future is a little candy, a poem about the passing years and their memories which, strangely, transports you completely out of time. A road trip by bike made of absolutely charming encounters that enjoys excellent sound work. A must-do for lovers of short narrative experiences in which you can easily let yourself be transported.- Jeuxvideo.com
