Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is a very good remaster of the original games, and brings a bit of new content, better graphics, and the awesome gameplay that's been loved for years. Pepper the lot with online multiplayer, and you've got one of the best arcade games of the year.- JeuxActu

NieR Automata is not only an excellent Beat'em all, it also has a great story with a huge background that will keep the player hooked. Add an exemplary level design and a huge area to explore to the mix and you'll get one of the best games of this year.- JeuxActu

This PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider is the exact replica of what came out a year ago on Xbox One. The title still looks and feels good, with as a bonus all the DLC available since launch. A must-play for every Lara Croft Fan.- JeuxActu

It Takes Two is a true couple therapy in which the two players (mandatory coop) will have to work together to overcome a large variety of challenges and activities. The overall feel of the game is very refreshing, but some minor flaws are still there (like poorly balanced minigames).- JeuxActu

Despite a disappointing ending, Left behind is a much needed DLC, be it only to know how Ellie was able to protect herself from the outside, after being a naïve girl. This behavior evolution is magnified by winter episodes that remind the player that The Last of Us's gameplay has not aged a bit. The multifaction combat is not revolutionary, but it does bring a fresh look at the combat system, and allows to save your ammo. Top end direction, excellent OST what are we upset about Left Behind? Reading the American Dreams comic offers a very different flavor, and the crappy ending really ruins the lot.- JeuxActu

Taking the best elements that made the two previous titles so successful, correcting some of their mistakes too, Far Cry 3 is clearly the blockbuster we were waiting for. Visually and artistically, the open-world is simply amazing. The different missions the main campaign consists of are all interesting as well, and the co-op aspects that are well-introduced. The multiplayer mode will entertain players for hours thanks to ingenious gameplay ideas.- JeuxActu

As we expected, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart is a true next-gen experience, harnessing the many capabilities of the PlayStation 5 with flying colors. Supported by a wonderful artistic direction, we have here a really impressive technical showcase, proving once again that the DualSense has potential that can change a lot of things.- JeuxActu

Visual Concepts has done it again with an awesome NBA 2K17. If the graphics don't evolve at all, the gameplay get richer alongside a vastly improved IA. The basketball game to go for without a doubt.- JeuxActu

XCOM 2 is a worthy heir to the franchise with a few improvements to renew the gameplay, and a refreshing script which makes us join the resistance against alien invaders. A worthy investment indeed.- JeuxActu

If Dishonored 2 doesn't offer the same surprise as the first opus, it is without a doubt one of the best action/stealth games money can buy, with huge replayability thanks to the multiple heroes and endings.- JeuxActu

Horizon 2 : Forbidden West outperforms its predecessor at all levels. Melee combat system is deeper, Aloy is more charismatic, every machine is more detailed, and players can enjoy several hundreds hours of content. The game is an undeniable success.- JeuxActu

Pokémon X & Y celebrate the transition to a full 3D world. And it's a strong success. Kalos is even more alive, gains volume and credibility. The battles improve too, the creatures have never been so real, so well-animated. This and only this can make you buy those games. On the other hand, Pokémon is still the same title, and X & Y keep making the gameplay evolve little by little.- JeuxActu

It's difficult to resist the charms of HearthStone: Heroes of WarCraft, which stacks up qualities. Easily manageable by any gamer, highly addictive, and made with an artistic touch, this game fully uses the rich Warcraft universe and its fame. The price to pay is having to make due with classic card game gameplay, not a revolution in the card collecting game genre...and it can prove tiresome at some point if you don't go hunting for the rare cards. Strangely, the interface needs improvement, and some bugs still persists. But since the game is free and really fun, there is no reason to not give it a try.- JeuxActu

Taking up the torch of a series interrupted nineteen years ago is never an easy task, but the MercurySteam studio is doing it with honors! The developers have chosen the path of security while perfectly respecting the spirit of the previous episodes, to the detriment of true modernity.- JeuxActu

With a vast and directly available content, Super Mario Maker 2 is still a must in terms of creative tool, but made better thanks to the story mode. The only drawbacks are the 2 player creation, the online multiplayer mode, and the UI that still feels like it's been tailored for use with the stylus.- JeuxActu

Sid Meier's Civilization VI is simply the best 4X game spawned by Firaxis. With enough new stuff to clearly stand apart from it's predecessors, Civ VI only suffers from a stupid AI when set to the easy settings. A must have for any strategy enthusiast.- JeuxActu

Battlefield 1 delivers on almost every promise made, and it sure is one of the best FPSs of the end of the year. We only wish it could have had fewer bugs and a bit more historic accuracy, but as long as the gameplay is addictive, we're satisfied.- JeuxActu

Maybe The Paper Mario series is not the most bankable or popular in the Mario universe, but it has a visual and gameplay approach that is no less interesting. If we were able to discover a new episode in 2020 on Switch, Nintendo is today offering us the opportunity to rediscover a major episode, that of the GameCube which will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year. If the gameplay has not changed one iota and remains as enjoyable as ever, even if we deplore a certain redundancy in the progression with a lot of comings and goings.- JeuxActu

Diablo 3 is THE amazing game players were waiting for. Beautiful, nervous and featuring an entertaining campaign as well as a great multiplayer experience, Diablo 3 proves that Blizzard remains loyal to the series offering one of the best hack'n'slash titles on the market. Some mistakes like requirement of an internet connection, its simplified gameplay and few minor software bugs will be easily forgiven by the players. A must-have game.- JeuxActu

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita is close to what the IP can do best. With touch controls that make building things more intuitive, the title appears to be less inflexible than the PS3 and PSP versions of the game, offering a gameplay experience that players will clearly enjoy, but in exchange for long hours of training.- JeuxActu

FIFA 13 is maybe close to FIFA 12. However, for EA Vancouver, the first one was an evolution when the second one was a revolution. The Canadian studios manage to improve the already good bases of the IP, especially the ones on which players were looking for improvements. In another way, FIFA 13 is a game you'll need to play for hours to discover all the details that make it the greatest football simulation game to date.- JeuxActu

Every Animal Crossing fan was impatiently waiting for this game. New Leaf holds on it's promises, by playing as the mayor or the city, you will enjoy absolute power, and the customisation possibilities are almost endless. You'll be able to let you imagination float away building and governing the village according to your style. The new stuff in terms of online social interactions do bring a true value to this game which still stays very repetitive. Beware, boredom isn't far away. Nevertheless, the fans oof the series will most likely enjoy this game for many hours.- JeuxActu

It's true that Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is very similar to the first episode with the same structure, the same gameplay, the same assets, the same flaws and still residual bugs that sometimes make you smile, but Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is an RPG of quite incredible depth, with a proposal so radical and so against what is done in AAA video games that it totally goes off the beaten track. I hadn't done the first episode, just watched the tester at the time play it and I didn't understand the craze. I won't hide from you that the first 15 hours were painful, sometimes painful, because once again, the proposal was so radical that it went beyond my codes, my habits. Nevertheless, we feel that behind this harshness, this almost unhealthy rigor hid a game of great richness and I am not unhappy to have persevered, because the gratification is great, but the pleasure is also total. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is definitely not a game for everyone, but if you can buy into the proposition, then you're in for a game like no other.- JeuxActu
