Final Fantasy XIII is a big and impressive adventure that manages to push the genre in the right direction. The characters, battle system and the story are all great. The fact that there are parts in the game that are unnecessary long and boring is to bad, still FFXIII is the one of the best RPG’s of this generation.

The attention to detail is what makes Blood Dragon so awesome. From the great explanation of why a bow is futuristic as long as you slap some neon on there, to Rex flipping off enemies, all of it is great. Add to that the length of the game being anywhere from four to twenty hours thanks to extra missions and collectibles, the low price and it hardly taking up any space on your hard drive, and you have no excuse but to play this.

The Wolf Among Us starts of promising. Episode 1 is a gripping detective adventure with many intriguing characters, beautiful locations and important choices. The numerous action scenes provide players with some variety, but this is paired with a few hitches and long load times.

PES 2010 forgets to innovate, which is especially disappointing considering that defending is as difficult as it was in previous years due to a lack of real control. However, the game has it’s moments of brilliance when you’re on the attack, which saves it from a sub-par grade.

Modnation Racers is the perfect party racer, with a lot of depth and a million customization options. The only bad thing about the game are the loading times, which are way to long.

The Prince returns, and does so with a fresh new style, a phenomenal game world, and in stunning visual detail. The addition of Elika is a nice touch, but takes away some of the initial challenge in the game. The fact that you can’t die is a real shame, but the choreographical fighting mechanics keep the gameplay interesting and fun, and turn Prince of Persia into a small masterpiece.

Ensemble Studio wanted to make a Real Time Strategy game for Halo fans. We can tell you that they succeeded. The controls are as simple as riding a bike. Once you get to know the basic controls you just keep on going. For hardcore RTS players this game might be to easy and option wise the game is very restricted. Nevertheless, we have had a great time playing this game and love to play it a little bit more online.

Looking at the gameplay, NBA 2K19 is a very strong basketball simulator, filled with many modes and beautiful graphics. Unfortunately that is not all: there is not enough innovation and old faults are back too. A pity, cause essentially this is a good game.

It brings the three different play styles together effortlessly, without selling one short. By handing out points after a mission based on how you play it, you keep coming back to set a higher score. It’s a shame the story lacks depth and graphically the game can’t play with the big boys, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’ll get a lot of stealthy pleasure out of this game.

SteamWorld Dig isn’t the most expansive and deep game, but great for blowing off some steam. The game is best played in one sitting, when you can’t let go of the urge to go deeper and discover more.

Whether you like Tekken 7 will depend on your knowledge of Tekken. If you are a die hard fan waiting for something new and crazy to happen to the franchise, this will be a disappointment. If you are relatively new to the series and you just want to play with your friends or online, Tekken 7 will definitely do the trick.

Metro: Last Light manages to give shape to the world described in the books bearing the same name beautifully. The claustrophobic and grim atmosphere really come into their own thanks to the great graphics. Unfortunately the immersion is often broken by static npc's, a lack of interactivity and the idiotic artificial intelligence doesn't offer much of a challenge.

Mega Man 11 brings back that old-school feeling, combined with modern things like the Double Gear system, multiple difficulty levels and an upgrade system. Accessible for newcomers and yet crazy difficult for retro gamers.

Captain Toad is just a little bit better and more beautiful on Switch. It is a pity we can't play the Super Mario 3D-levels anymore, but we do get some very nice new ones instead.

Life is Strange 2 is a much less subtle part than its predecessor and makes it difficult to get used to it, due to constantly changing characters. The game remains exciting from start to finish, but fortunately does have the same zen moments as its predecessor.

FIFA 15 could’ve been brilliant. The presentation, different modes and gameplay are top notch, but the online gameplay often doesn’t function like it should. It’s strange to realise what we’re willing to accept just to play a football game, but the simple truth is that there is not a good alternative right now. The game is passable, but PES 2015 has a serious chance to win the cup this year.

Severed is one of the best PS Vita games ever, and the touch controls are used well. The game is a constant surprise full of smart gameplay features, items and magical powers. It is very fun to explore this world as it keeps on challenging you until the end.

Everything that had made World of Warcraft a success can be found in Wildstar as well. Fortunately, the game - thanks to its cartoonish sci-fi western appearance, active combat system and humor - has its own identity. For newcomers to the genre Wildstar is ideal, but for MMO veterans Wildstar has plenty to offer too.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a surprisingly good game that is perfectly balanced. The game really impressed us with the way a group of kids is placed in a gruesome, hostile world. It makes us forget about all those rough edges and shallow bad guys.

Because of the many different power-ups Blur has a deep tactical layer that especially holds its own online. The singleplayer mode teaches you the basics, but the real fun is to be had online, or split screen with your friends. For people without an internet connection the lifespan of the game is significantly cut down because of the lack of quickplay.

Resistance Retribution offers a great deal of entertainment, both in the relatively lengthy single player and in the impressive multiplayer. It lacks the polish and overall impressing quality of a game like God of War: Chains of Olympus though, and once again confirms the fact that the PlayStation Portable will never be able to handle a First/Third Person Shooter.

Kingdom Hearts 2 is a classic but it is also the game that made the series a lot more complicated. We would've liked to get a recapitulation of the past parts, especially since Birth by Sleep and Re:Coded make things complex. But, besides that we have really enjoyed Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix with it's excellent quality and loads of content to enjoy.

Saints Row 4 is a bizarre open world game that never takes itself serious. The game has strong dialogue, a great soundtrack and the open world gameplay offers a lot of creativity and freedom. It’s, however, never really original and fans of the first two games in the series might want to steer clear of this game. But if you’re looking for a playground in which you can do whatever you want, you’ll have a blast with Saints Row 4.

A wonderful fighting game. Netherrealm managed to combine all of the good Mortal Kombat had to offer, with the charm of the DC Comics, without incident. Online and offline it provides great over-the-top gameplay for starting players, and offers enough depth for the more experienced players. This depth can be found in the form of interactive levels, individual moves and powers. Aside from that it offers a huge amount of different and unique characters to play with, and lots of content that'll satisfy any DC-fanatic.
