Ghosts plays it safe. That doesn’t mean it’s not a competent game by a long shot. The single player has gotten a fun new settings, the multiplayer maps are well designed and the new modes are a lot of fun to dive into. It’s just too bad that a few popular modes have been removed and it doesn’t cater as much to the competitive player as previous installments in the series. That doesn’t take away from the fact that this is another great shooter in the Call of Duty franchise.

Mortal Kombat X has great animations, a solid online gaming experience and smooth controls. The best thing about this game still are the bloody Fatalities, which is exactly what we want in a fighter like MK. It is a pity the single-player story mode is a bit limited.

An excellent and complete arcade racer. The short and intense races work great on the mobile platform. The many cars, challenging opponents and annoying police make sure you'll never have a moment of boredom. The only downside is that too much of the races are held on the same track.

It’s more style than substance, but that isn’t a bad thing. However, Platinum Games hasn’t fully embraced this fact and tried to bring a serious story with depth to the table. In which it failed miserably. The game is pure action: a hack and slash game you’ll have to memorize to master. The Blade Mode is a great addition to the series, but the parry system isn’t quite as memorable. The total package, however, is a game that belongs to the top of its class, mainly thanks to the great art style and the brutal, yet amazing music.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron offers a lot of fun, but has some minor issues. The campaign is varied and compelling, but has some rough edges and misses a cooperative multiplayer mode. The multiplayer is unique and fun, but misses a deeper layer to keep you entertained longer.

Without a doubt one of the coolest cooperative games this year. Unlocking new skills and gears is addicting and fun, and the game demands good cooperation if you wish to succeed. The crime.net system mixes up the missions just enough that it stays fun and challenging. The game isn’t made to play by yourself and there are some balancing issues, but despite these issues Payday 2 is highly recommended for every aspiring criminal.

A world full of darkness and fantasy combined with a fascinating story makes Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons a memorable experience. The controls can be quite difficult, despite the low difficulty of the game itself, and the game is a bit on the short side. Yet, the game has the right idea and links a convincing world to it.

Splatoon 2 is exactly the same as the first game, which is disappointing. However, the gameplay and fresh style of Splatoon 2 make those feelings fade away quickly. It is so much fun to compete online.

Because of the unlockable songs and modes Just Dance 4 feels like a game more than ever. The Sweat mode is an exciting option for those who'd like to keep fit by dancing. But it is a shame that some obvious changes haven't made the cut.

Need for Speed: Shift has found the right direction once again. The race feeling with the most cars is fantastic and the game looks great. There is enough to do and the experience system invites the player to do races more than once.

Black Ops 2 isn't the game it could have been; there hasn't been enough change in the multiplayer mode. The game does offer an interesting single player experience and a cool zombie mode, unfortunately with dated graphics.

A great collection of bullets and smart level design make Wreckateer a compelling and challenging puzzle game.

The charm of the Skylanders is still present in Skylanders: Giants. The synergy between the kiddy exterior and the grown-up gameplay is incredibly well done. Even though the tempo of the game may sometimes drop and you'll probably end up spending way more than a normal game, don't change the fact that Skylanders: Giants is one of the most fun family games of 2012.

In Harm's Way is an outline of what the rest of The Walking Dead's second season will bring us. Decisions are even more difficult and story elements are shocking, but unfortunately there are also less classic adventure puzzles. However, Clementines story gets clearer bit by bit. We're preparing for the rest of the season: things to come will be more exciting and heartbreaking than ever before.

It is not a new WipEout game, but we highly doubt we will ever get something better than the WipEout Omega Collection. This bundle offers three classics that are truly timeless. Excellent.

With Kero Blaster, Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya shows again his love for (8-bit) games. The game takes a different route than that of Cave Story, but the surreal worlds and the 8-bit visual splendor return. The controls work perfectly and thanks to the innovative shooting system you bang with extreme precision. The only thing Kero Blaster suffers from is the extremely short duration of the game.

What Skate 3 does, it does it good. It is better than the second installment and brings some interesting online modes.

Shadows of Valentia has a rocky start, but after that it turns into an amazing game that is not afraid of taking risks. It has a colorful cast that is off to an interesting sidestep instead of following a beaten path.

Ratchet & Clank is reintroduced to gamers and it is done very well. The visuals are fantastic and the combination of chaotic shooting action and platforming is still gold to us. It is too bad the friendship between Ratchet and Clank is very much in the background.

Red Faction: Guerrilla is a sandbox game in its purest form. Watching giant structures collapse is an absolute thrill, and although the characters and their backgrounds aren't very compelling, the awesome weapons and great amount of side missions will take players on a path of destruction for hours to come.

Gears of War Ultimate Edition is a nice remaster of the 360-classic. It might not be the most surprising or biggest remastered edition, it still offers a great way of experiencing an amazing shooter.

WWE 2K14 isn’t really doing anything new. The combat system, which works well, has hardly been altered, it looks pretty much the same as its predecessor and has a few old quirks here and there. But whoever wants to throw themselves at all the available content, is going to have a good time with WWE 2K14.

Tales from the Borderlands makes a promising start with the first episode, Zer0 Sum. Although the animations are a bit stiff, the game is full of humor and it has that typical Borderlands-feel to it. Pandora really comes to life and we appreciate the two perspectives this game offers.

The Order: 1886 is the best looking console game ever. Behind those excellent visuals there is an old-fashioned but steady third-person shooter to enjoy. The storyline has the right tempo. This game is not perfect, but it's goal of being a blockbuster works really well.

Rabbids Go Home is addictive and insanely funny in its own, unique way. Despite the fact the game tends to repeat itself after a certain time, it offers enough clever moments to stay entertaining.
