Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land introduces many great concepts and features but fails to be wholly entertaining. It contains unnecessarily tedious features and awful performance that will hopefully be fixed post-launch.

Monster Hunter Wilds is a worthy sequel to 2018s Monster Hunter World that adds enough new things to keep the formula feeling fresh while being as deep and engaging as it ever has been.

Mullet Madjack is a fast and furious roguelike FPS that scratches that just one more go itch perfectly. It’s tight time limits and hair trigger blasting are as exhilarating as they are challenging, while it’s retro sheen, cyberpunk aesthetics and gleeful anti capitalist message make it all the more charming.

Memory Lost is a game with a lot of potential. Its innovative gameplay mechanics and atmospheric world make it a worthwhile experience for cyberpunk fans. However, its narrative shortcomings and technical imperfections prevent it from reaching its full potential. While it may not be a perfect cyberpunk experience, Memory Lost offers a unique and often thrilling ride through a dystopian world if you can put up with the control mechanics.

Julaymba is an essential and revolutionary device for fostering education, conservation, and the appreciation of culture. Being able to integrate technology and Indigenous culture in such a way enables people to grasp the importance of the Daintree Rainforest both spiritually and ecologically. This experience does not simply serve as a fostering tool, but aims to inspire everyone to appreciate, protect, and learn from the land so that sustainable practices can ensure a beautiful and better future.

Sorry We’re Closed is a heavily stylized horror action adventure game that bleeds innovation. A bumping soundtrack and comfortable trepidation amalgamate to form a passionate and purposeful experience. An impressive narrative with a comical cast soaks in the exceptional and creative gameplay making this a trip into the demon world you don’t want to miss.

Though it's a slow burn in revealing its true colours, and sometimes a bit of a pacing drag, Ever17 is a beautifully depressing story about the ups and downs of finding and losing hope in claustrophobia.

Machinicide isn’t far away from being a genuinely good game, it’s just let down by a few, albeit large problems. If the performance issues can be fixed and an option to change the field of view is added, then there’s hope for Machinicide yet.

It’s not a complicated game, it’s not overly big (though there is a level editor and steamworks integration) but it’s a good bit of fun and easy to just pick up and play for a few moments between other things. The price is about right for what you get too, not too expensive but not so cheap that the creative team is selling themselves short (I hope).

I’m really not big on all the extra “content” jammed on top of the actual golf but it’s pretty easy to quickly skip through. The graphics of the courses are stunning and it’s a pleasure to go from hole to hole just enjoying the recreation of some of the best golf courses in the world. The swing mechanics are easy to pick up and perhaps a bit more of a challenge to master but as you play you certainly do learn the tricks to improve your game. Highly recommended, more so if you don’t mind turning off the commentary and maybe the music.

Lost Records: Tape 1 Bloom is an engaging and compelling first act that rewards the patience of its players with a relatable cast, tough choices, and a story with more than enough mysteries and pull to have you counting down the days until Tape 2 Rage arrives on April 15.

There’s a certain amount of jank present in Tomb Raider IV V VI Remastered. Much of this stems from the games being over twenty years old at this point and is just inherently a part of many games from this era. They all run perfectly, including on the Steam Deck, which is how I spent most of my time with them. This remaster of the later entries into the series, like the previous game, serves as an excellent way to experience these old games.

It Takes Two is a fun cooperative game on the PlayStation that is filled with consistent surprises and delights, offering a unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you’re playing with a significant other, a friend or a family member, It Takes Two is an essential title for any PS5 owner who is looking for a cooperative challenge and from an incredible moving perspective from a story point of view that can easily be knocked over in a few binge gaming sessions.

Retronika is an action and racing shooter that delivers on a lot of fronts. Threading through traffic is demanding in VR at first, but becomes more fun the further you get into it and unlock more upgrades. While the game is easy to put down due to its start and stop style of gameplay and overall casual design, the one of a kind and eccentric nature is delightful to experience.

If you want a great modern update to a side-scrolling classic… this is a good choice. It has just the right amount of visual enhancement to not look stale whilst not losing its retro charm. The levels are quite brutal but repeated attempts help you get the hang of how to tackle the enemies. If side-scrolling gaming is your thing… give it a go.

Casey Jones and the Junkyard Jam is a fairly concise DLC, but at only $10.49 for a new harder-hitting playable character, a new third stage that’s far more enjoyable than the original, and an expanded selection of artefacts that give you even more fun ways to dole out damage, it’s well worth a punt. Though Casey can be a bit of a liability in the late game, he’s still a great addition to the roster, especially if he’s buddied up with someone a little speedier in co-op. Ultimately though, Junkyard Jam is a decent excuse to play more Splintered Fate and that is no bad thing at all.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a fantastic spin-off and a great Epilogue to Infinite Wealth. The decision to put Majima in the captain’s chair is inspired and has allowed the team at Ryu Ga Gotoku to create one of the most unique and off-the-will games in the long-running series. Much like its beloved lead, Pirate Yakuxa in Hawaii is a little crazy, a little random, but incredibly charming.

Tiny Terry’s Turbo Trip is a casual adventure game about an insouciant boy trying to find his place in the world. The game flourishingly creates an interesting environment filled with colorful characters and engaging concepts all while having a droll sense of humor. In a roundabout way, the game’s shortcomings, while not excused, are long lost in Terry’s smoke trail as he floors his car accelerator to the next hilarious quest.

All in all, both Legacy collections are an eye-opening reminder that we once got far more bang for our buck with older Sims titles. While the two re-releases aren’t perfect in terms of bugs, missing content and a few technical quirks, both games remain as fun as they ever were and the benefit of having new, legal ways to purchase them on modern digital game store-fronts cannot be understated. I really hope EA pays attention to fan feedback to these re-releases and learns some lessons from the past to improve the value of future patches, content and technical enhancements.

Unknown 9: Awakening may not be perfect, but it’s not a failure, either. Amongst its advantages are unique combat mechanics and picturesque scenery. Generally speaking, I enjoyed the title. On the other hand, the game struggles with technical problems. Sluggish controls and visual issues spoil the overall experience.

Undying is an isometric survival game about collecting materials while on the clock. The time increments and nature of the game make this an easy game to pick up and play leisurely. The routine story, choppy dialogue, and dry combat work for the most part but serve as a means to an end by being monotonous. While the multiple gameplay options are a bit tedious, it is enough to be fulfilling and you always feel like you are doing something worthwhile. With multiple decisions to make and different ways you can go about things, Undying has a decent amount of replayability allowing you to reap a good amount of entertainment.

If you enjoy the idea of safely spending time underwater, enjoying ocean wildlife, this is a great option. It’s reasonably priced for the enjoyment of simply swimming around. The story is fun to explore, but I could happily swim with the fish for hours. Grab a copy for some lovely, safe time in the ocean.

Drakheir could have easily been a gimmicky showcase for VR hand tracking. Instead, it demonstrates thoughtful design and clever implementation. It makes me yearn for a Dr. Strange VR game—we had Iron Man; imagine opening portals by simply tracing the circle! Drakheir proves the potential of hand tracking and does it exceptionally well. It’s fun, reasonably priced, and lets you live out your magical fantasies.
