The mellow approach and splendid animation create a welcoming and heartwarming adventure about plundering and bravery that you will want to see through to the end.

Drova - Forsaken Kin is a grim pixel art RPG about roaring factions upholding their opposing beliefs amongst a fallen ancient realm. The game's substantial amount of RPG features constitutes and assembles in a thrilling way that will have you slashing and leveling up for hours on end. Dive into the mythic kingdom of Drova and uncover its enigmatic past through solving denizens’ problems and beseeching issues while also not falling to the dangerous creatures in the wilderness.

Strong artistic direction, simple, yet compelling gameplay, and another transcendental Berlinist score make Neva easy to recommend. As beautiful as it is touching, Nomada has once again proved that they are the masters of creating experiences that you point at feverishly whenever anyone tells you games can’t also be art. However, Neva backs up its impressive artistry with solid gameplay by blending easy-to-pick-up, tough-to-master platforming with some simple yet deep combat and brilliant boss battles. But best of all though, it has a puppy you can pet.

If you have a younger gamer in your family that loves SpongeBob, they will definitely get a blast playing his goofy sidekick Patrick – sure, the game does lack any real direction but so does the TV show as you explore this whacky underworld city and its surrounding, get up to mischief and also helping (equally causing mayhem as well) the underwater denizens of Bikini Bottom.

Intriguing lore and a new hand-crafted planet to explore can't quite override recurring bugs and tired quest design.

G.I.JOE: Wrath of the Cobra is a competent, if unremarkable beat 'em up that doesn't stand out in anyway beyond the attached IP. Let down by repetitive combat and lacklustre enemy variety.

Kvark is a hidden gem of a classic shooter that you should not miss. It is simple but hard to progress which has given the game a unique taste and separates it from just another clone of Half-Life. However, it won’t be a memorable game that you will talk about for the rest of your life.

Outer Wilds Archaeologist Physical Edition is nearly flawless, hand crafted mystery masterpiece.

Cryptmaster is a unique and engaging dungeon crawler with a quirky sense of humour and some very clever ideas. Though it may be a bit too ponderous for some, and action junkies should probably stay away, those with a passion for linguistics who love a good brain teaser or a good belly laugh should certainly check it out.

Those with a mind for psychology might have questioned why I mentioned Jung in regard to the Ego when the (in)famous Freud introduced the concept… well Jung expanded on it and developed the notion of the collective unconscious and in a way Ctrl Alt Ego is a space station of “minds” just waiting to be connected. If you like puzzle games, a bit of humour with your gaming or just something that is a bit different then grab a copy. It’s quirky and gives you flexibility to play many different ways… for the price there’s a decent bit of replay value. Focus your attention on the game and inhabit it now.

If all you're looking for is wholesome family fun, Looney Tunes: Whacky World of Sports is a pleasant and well-meaning sports title.

A charming, modern take on a classic style of Zelda. Zelda is able to carry the weight of main character like the strong Princess she is. Now it's Link's turn to be the damsel!

A simple and enjoyable RPG that works great on Steam Deck. The game hides within an enchanted forest so deep that almost no one has heard of it. It's a pity – hopefully the title's console release will change anything about this.

If you want a fun little challenge, levels that are different each time you play and the ability to use your environment to your advantage more than you might expect… this might be for you. It’s a pretty decent price and whilst it can be quite grueling at times… the chance experiences of intentionally or accidentally beating situations means there’s a lot of value in replaying. A nice little game to have in your collection.

The remastered Until Dawn for PS5 retains its original charm while enhancing accessibility and visuals, although some fans may miss the original's blue filter. While it doesn't introduce significant new content or a performance boost, it offers a polished experience worth exploring, especially for newcomers.

It must have taken a certain kind of crazy to come up with a BOWLING-themed horde shooter - but the visual design and gameplay nail it well enough to make this one worth a throw.

Final Fantasy XVI is a return to form for the long-running franchise. An excellent game that sadly has some performance quirks that need to be addressed to fully realise its potential.

Hollowbody is a wonderful throwback to the golden age of survival horror games in the sixth console generation with an interesting and engaging story and excellent sound design.

The Karate Kid: Street Rumble is a well-crafted and enjoyable adaptation that fans of the movies and Cobra Kai TV series are bound to enjoy thanks to the clever ways that developer Odaclick, has managed to translate scenes from the films into fab set pieces and boss battles. For everyone else though, it’s a fun but basic belt brawler that’s fun while it lasts but doesn’t have much to draw you back once Johnny has hit the mat for the final time.

Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is a fun addition to the steller base game. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that your mileage with it will vary wildly. If you’re just after a little more story you could be done with Khaos Reigns in a couple of hours. Those looking for new characters to master, especially fans of a certain trio of ninjas will certainly get much more out of the update.

Funko Fusion might be tailored to Pop! aficionados but anyone who enjoys these franchises or the LEGO type games may get a kick out of this title. There’s also some laugh out loud moments in all this craziness and hopefully 10:10 Games will add additional DLC content and hopefully more franchises will allow their copyrights to be part of this world. DC vs Marvel? That would be amazing!

Go Mecha Ball’s splash of creativity, colorful world, and addicting gameplay will make you pull the plunger over and over to obtain that perfect run. Help Cat Rascal and her crew escape by flipping triggers, bouncing off of enemies, and boosting to victory.

With all the video game movies being made these days (some good some bad)… it is not surprising that God Of War is joining their ranks. The best thing is whether the movie is a success or not… you can play God Of War Ragnarok and feel like you are playing a movie right now! If you’ve enjoyed the previous games or want to see what it’s all about… grab a copy. It’s a brilliant game on many levels and there’s plenty of lore to get caught up in.

Golden Lap is an simple but interesting take on the motorsport management sim, set in a dangerous and unpredictable era that isn't often used in games.

Frostpunk 2 is a fantastic sequel to the original game. The shift to a wider focus rather than staying at the macro level might not be to everyone’s tastes, but I rather enjoyed the push to bigger and more expansive lands.

In FC 25, FC IQ provides a welcome strategic overhaul for several FC modes, and Rush is apt to be a big hit for FC online community now with more social options. FC 25 is not a largest leap from FC 24, but definitely a step in the right direction for the franchise.
