There is plenty of value here for those looking for an officially licensed rally experience, provided that you are willing to over look the floors, there is a lengthy career mode and stages to keep players going and avoid repetitiveness for those who enjoy rally.

I had a lot of fun with Just Cause 4 and I’m sure you will too. If you have played number 3 don’t expect a lot more but if you haven’t then you are going to love this. I recommend giving it a shot as a title that will see hours of play over the summer holidays.

The updated visuals of Tekken Tag Tournament on the PS3 is a joy to see and surprisingly the gameplay has dated well. However the taste of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue is definitely something to wet your appetite until the next Tekken game. Definitely for fans!

Mother Machine is a game with a lot of potential but falls short of its lofty ambitions. Its charming visuals and engaging movement mechanics are overshadowed by repetitive gameplay and a lack of variety. While it offers moments of fun, especially in cooperative play, it struggles to sustain long-term interest. For those seeking a light-hearted multiplayer experience, Mother Machine is a more enjoyable experience, however for gaming veterans, it may not hold your attention for long.

The Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident is a fun game for those players who enjoy hidden object games and considering that most games are alike on the Wii of late, this game does offer players something unique and fun.

The latest incarnation of Tetris is a mixed bag but for some reason, I just wanted to play and play. It's quite addictive and the new One-Touch and Galaxy modes are very good. It's a shame that EA have put currency in the forefront of this game because there are just too many costs associated with this title.

For the most part the story elements are deftly handled and Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment offers up a solid RPG experience at a budget price.

SingStar Dance is definitely a party game and if you have a party coming up, this title would definitely be a winner and is something fresh as opposed to SingStar which this game can still do.

The Escapists: The Walking Dead is a fun 8-bit indie puzzle/role-playing/survival simulation hybrid which makes excellent use of the license.

The board game styled maps, and even the sound effects in this game are well done and flow together to make an original experience. It is well put together and can easily suck you in for hours, even when you're playing by yourself! Hoard is almost like a strategy game, but quicker and more destructive than most. If you enjoy quick game play and hectic atmospheres, Hoard sure does pack a hefty and addicting punch.

Concord is a game that has tons of potential, that sadly doesn't capitalise on any of it. A by the numbers hero shooter, that while occasionally fun, failed to make any inroads into an already packed genre.

Xenoraid is competently built but lacks any real reason to actually compel you to play it. The gameplay loop quickly becomes monotonous and, aside from quick bursts here and there whilst waiting for a download, I can’t see many gamers putting much time into conquering the alien attackers.

At the end of the day, I dearly wanted to like Alpha Protocol, especially after some of the cool trailers and hype over the year. The game definitely needed more refining to smooth out the gameplay and how Thorton interacts with his environment, including some of the graphical issues.

In the end, I enjoyed Conduit 2 but my only drawback was the game was over before I knew it. Even so, this is the best the Nintendo Wii has to offer in quite some time and if you're needing your first person shooter fix than this is the game to get. It may not break the mould in terms of originality but when it comes to controls and gameplay, Conduit 2 is very sturdy.

Toy Soldiers HD is a tough one to recommend. The game hasn’t really changed for better or worse, making it both fun to revisit while being a bit ugly to look at. Most of the time the game is fun enough to ignore any of the graphical shortcomings or the frame rate issues, but sometimes the difficulty spikes can be a bit discouraging. Overall, this is a barebones HD remake that could’ve used some more fine tuning especially in the graphics department. Here’s to hoping this unique franchise can be revitalized in the future but, as for Toy Soldiers HD, this battlefield has seen better days.

Farmagia is an action adventure RPG where you reap what you sow…literally! Plant and grow creatures to accompany you on your quest to save the Underworld from a dishonorable monarch and his battalion of monsters. Farmagia’s unique approach to the genre may raise some eyebrows, but successfully creates a fun time with its interweaving gameplay components. Not only does the game’s anime style, challenging quests, and interesting story effortlessly garner attention, but the quality and quantity Farmagia is able to cultivate succeeds in making it a must play hit.

The problem with The Crew 2 is, aside from its admittedly pretty visuals, it seems content to coast by by just being good enough, never really feeling like it tops its pulse-pounding opening race or effectively shakes up the formula from the first game enough to really stand out as an essential purchase.

Robinson the Journey is an interesting game on the PlayStation VR that successfully creates a virtual world, however it does have some limitations that includes the graphics, part of the gameplay and at times fiddly controls. So if you have push aside these limitations, the game does give you a sense of freedom and is a step in the right direction for the future of VR titles. Let’s just hope that developers can streamline the controls and more importantly, ensure that the players don’t need to dish out additional money for a PlayStation 4 Pro to upscale the graphics.

I really enjoyed this game but its repetition and lack of communication with the player ultimately frustrated me personally. That said, it is so gorgeous to look at and control I would play it again. Crazy huh?
