Soulstice is very much a mixed bag of a hack-and-slash RPG. While it sports excellent properties like nice visuals and designs, an interesting premise, and excellent voice acting, it still lacks gameplay optimization.

Drova - Forsaken Kin is a grim pixel art RPG about roaring factions upholding their opposing beliefs amongst a fallen ancient realm. The game's substantial amount of RPG features constitutes and assembles in a thrilling way that will have you slashing and leveling up for hours on end. Dive into the mythic kingdom of Drova and uncover its enigmatic past through solving denizens’ problems and beseeching issues while also not falling to the dangerous creatures in the wilderness.

Overall Saints Row IV Re-elected is a very competent entry to the Switch Library and it is definitely worth the purchase if you have the hankering for some crazy open world action. It is unfortunately priced on the higher side of re releases so please keep that in mind. As long as you can handle the Nintendo Switch’s less than impressive Joycon analogue sticks.

Overall this collection does add some value and for a very niche system it makes it accessible to more people who may have missed out on the original release.

Gauntlet for PC is a fun walk down memory lane and successfully recreates the best elements of the original 1985 game!

SPRAWL is a decent entry into the ever growing list of boomer-shooters that are making their way to consoles. Its fast-paced combat and great soundtrack make it stand out from the crowd.

Haven is a special game that is hard to recommend, but hard to miss. If you want a good honest look at star crossed lovers, and you have someone to play it with, definitely consider dropping some time into this lovely world.

Overall DQM: The Dark Prince is a fine and serviceable game that would be a perfect pick up for any Dragon Quest fan.

Ultimately this is a game that is good but could have been better. Using the Unreal Engine I do think has helped in a lot of ways. The actual models of the bikes look real and are very detailed, and it is pleasing to see real life stadiums created digitally with care. I would suggest most gamers would do well to use the training Compound in the game as it will help you overcome some of the early control issues or at the least get you used to them. This is most likely one of the better games for bike fans out there right now but it could do with more polish.

Turok 3 is a blast for both shooter fans and anyone interested in games history.

House of Golf 2 is a gorgeous entry into the mini-golf genre. Featuring some a vast array of creative stages to get through, only let down by a lack of online multiplayer and little in the way of variety.

The game has some stumbling moments, but it is worth sticking it out. With the franchise changing over time it has lost a lot of what originally defined Resident Evil to us all.

It’s not a bad game… once you get the gist of it, but I would certainly say wait for a sale to get it if you’re interested because I couldn’t justify the current price given the play time and scope.

Few games manage to properly capture the sensation of becoming a superhero, and for the most part those that do it best are often firmly grounded in reality, like the Arkham Series; even the Infamous games and those that do take a more fantastical approach to the genre are constrained by the fact that they’re generally restricted to a single city. Megaton Rainfall gives you the entire planet to take care of and, while it can be an overwhelming responsibility at times, it’s one that I find myself stepping up to time and time again.

In the end, Ratchet & Clank All 4 One may not be the best game in the series but it does offer some unique and mostly entertaining multiplayer fun as you blast enemies away into the ether... more specifically spare parts.

A fun game that will test your brain and no doubt frustrate you at times, but a lot of value in the editor directly and indirectly. At a pretty reasonable price I’d say this is a great option if you want a bit of puzzle solving fun.

Star Wars Pinball: Rogue One is easily addictive but at the same time (for me) easily frustrating as I lacked the patience and precision to make it all the way to the end. Progressing in difficulty as you go through the story mode, this would be a good game for anyone up for a challenge and has a love for casual pinball games.

Your enjoyment of Bravely Default II will largely depend on how much of a fan you are of grinding. With the large glut of epic, innovative JRPGs available in 2021 there are plenty of more streamlined experiences. However if you’re into hardcore old school JRPG’s with brutal difficulty spikes and detailed job systems, Bravely Default II will be exactly what you’re looking for.

The final episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne runs out of time to provide a truly satisfying character arc, but still leaves us with a bloody, violent, thought-provoking conclusion.

NanoApostle is a top down fast paced boss rush game that causes a lot of fun rush of blood moments with its wild and intricate gameplay.

Far from a throwaway offering, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a genuine surprise. The representation of the famed Harry Potter sport here is impressively realized thanks to dynamic and thrilling gameplay, a pleasant artstyle, and a pick up and play allure that gives it a satisfyingly accessible edge. Career and customization options are slim, the commentary is tacky, and you might forget about it quickly, but the temptation to dive into a game of Quidditch in any position is irresistible, and what may look like an underweight and throwaway title, is actually ruddy good if you give it a chance and you keep on playing. The return of videogame Quidditch isn’t without a few hiccups, but it’s definitely a worthwhile option for anybody curious, or who can’t get enough of chasing down Snitches.

Despite some issues with controls (and they are pretty massive issues), it’s worth noting that I still felt engaged enough to persist and, in fact, completed the game. It’s also worth noting that it seems the developer is still actively working on improvements (and it’s not a big production house… just one person). With a few tweaks it could be quite polished and would be a lovely “chill” gaming experience. Even with the issues, I still think it is highly worth picking up a copy (it’s quite reasonably priced).

Detective Pikachu Returns takes some steps back compared to its 3DS predecessor – most notably in its presentation – but retains its charming writing, beautiful worldbuilding and loveable cast of both humans and Pokémon alike.

Despite its many foibles, I still found it hard to put Starfield down. It’s a Bethesda game like no other, in that it’s actually best experienced by sticking to the main path rather than picking a direction and seeing what trouble you get into. The fragmentation of its narrative and structure over dozens of small maps robs it of the same spirit of manifest destiny that Fallout and, to a lesser extent, The Elder Scrolls. You’re not drawn to towers in the distance, to dragons on the horizon; it’s more a case of I wonder what Earth is like now, or if that ship in the distance will open fire on me, and is there anything worth stealing in its hull? It’s this fractious nature and the sheer drudgery of space travel that make it a tough sell to even fans of other Bethesda RPGs. But if you’re a sucker for secret sects and a cosmological mystery, chances are Starfield will be a trip into the bleak emptiness of space you’ll want to take.

Rusty Rabbit is a side-scrolling action-adventure game that follows Stamp, a tough, aging rabbit who uses his mech to dig, fight, and explore a sprawling underground world. While it overall mostly feels watered-down with elements of it's gameplay being underutilized and everything being a bit too simple, the game blends fast-paced combat, customizable mech upgrades, and intriguing storytelling in a successful way, creating a rich experience about family, resilience, and rediscovery.

Project Motor Racing heralds the return of Ian Bell and co. It retains the visuals and impressive physics of previous games while changing things up with a new career mode.

In the end, Inversion has some great concepts but suffers from its rather linear design, especially in relation to the gravity powers your character has access too.

Anima: Gate of Memories I & II Remaster brings two ambitious cult action RPGs back into the spotlight with sharper visuals, smoother performance, and a clearer presentation of their dense lore. The core experience is still uneven with dated design, clunky movement, and occasionally awkward voice work remain, but the improvements make the journey far easier to appreciate. It’s a flawed yet fascinating return, especially for those who enjoy old-school, Nier- or Drakengard-style oddities and want a polished way to revisit (or finally discover) this universe.
