For some reason, I get déjà vu while I'm playing this game because surely the developers, especially Hudson would have learnt by now that games like this are not acceptable on the Nintendo Wii, especially on the XBox 360.- Impulsegamer

At the end of the day, Ballerina is an interesting game that does offer girls something different besides games that are generally targeted towards male gamers. In the end, Lock On Platinum is a very realistic game that contains a rather steep learning curve. If you have never played a simulator before, the realism may turn you off but if you are after a very realistic and engaging flight simulator, than this is the game. Overall, I think it’s a game worth checking out. It has its glitches and some plot-holes (such as needing zero motivation to kill innocent people with monsters and zombies), but if strategy games are your thing, it’s a welcome challenge. Try and get over the drawn-out nature of the game, or just give the multiplayer a shot – I think, if you’re up to something that will require you to use your (undead) brain, you’ll truly enjoy it.- Impulsegamer

The simplicity of controls and navigation in Minecraft would suggest that it is geared more towards children but with iconic 80s film references and dry humor it can be fun for adults too. If you are looking for a game full of puzzles and where your choices will make a dramatic impact to the outcome of the game, then this isn’t for you. But if you like the idea of a playable television game – you have come to the right place. Overall it’s not a bad game… but I certainly wouldn’t be paying full price for it. The basic gameplay sees you moving from one room to another, collecting items where required and otherwise basically working out puzzles. The story is quite interesting and by the end of chapter one you will probably find yourself having a fare idea of what’s going on, what went on and who you are… but there are some more questions left to answer and that is obviously the hook to keep you going. Visually it’s quite a treat (other than the previously mentioned lighting issue) and the puzzles aren’t too taxing so you can progress without feeling to laboured. I am curious as to where this leads and what the end may bring… a decent bit of mystery adventure gaming. Maybe wait to get it all in one package or perhaps skip chapter 2 because it doesn’t really add that much more to the story… but certainly an interesting story.- Impulsegamer

Would I recommend it? Well yes and no. It is fun (I would hate to hunt in real life unless I was expressly trying to find food) but it really doesn’t play like a simulator in the full sense of the word and I suspect that is where this draws it’s most criticism. Having said that… with so many hunting games on the market it must be hard to find a name that stands out and that would draw the players in, but in our modern gaming world with expectations that can run so high… if you call your game a simulator and you don’t deliver something in which the player practically feels frostbite developing as they hunt in the chilly alps… they just won’t be happy. For me I would say if you enjoy hunting games it can be a bit of casual fun… but certainly not at full price… a deep discount is required or perhaps give it a…. miss (puts on sunglasses, adopts a smug look and walks off).- Impulsegamer

The VR market is still in it’s early days and much of what’s available is so called on rail shooters so it’s nice to have something a bit different. Something that uses the space extremely well and gives us a bit of humour with not a zombie in site. I should also note that the development team really are passionate about this project and made some adjustments while I was doing my review playthrough… they have some big plans for the game in the future as well so it’s a good game to support, it’s pretty reasonably priced and for the sake of something a bit different I’d certainly recommend it.- Impulsegamer

I would say wait for a special as I think it’s a little steep in the price department for only one hour of play… but if they do indeed add more to it in the future then that price is going to start seeming more and more reasonable. If nothing else this shows what the future of VR education can be, it’s done in a compelling and fun way that is sure to add a bit of knowledge to the average user… even if only osmotically. A great experience and I look forward to what they bring out next!- Impulsegamer

It’s a good pick up and play title that may see you spending a few more hours engaged in seafaring than you realised.- Impulsegamer

Although there is a lot of repetitiveness, My Lovely Daughter is a different and unique game that will pull on your heartstrings. Just keep in mind though, that this game is designed to upset and to disturb you.- Impulsegamer

South Park: The Fractured But Whole From Dusk Till Casa Bonita DLC is short and sweet. However it successfully celebrates the world of South Park and gives us an adventure that feels like an episode from the cartoon with some hilarious cutscenes. Furthermore, the new enemies, boss, character class and buddy helps the title stay fresh and all in all, it was a fun albeit short experience… and once again the voice acting is to die for!- Impulsegamer

Is it worth it… well for chess fans and those wanting to introduce friends or family to the game it has a fair degree of merit. It can get a little repetitive… but it’s nice to have a chess game with a good amount of polish to it to jump into when the mood strikes. Perhaps wait for a sale… but if you like chess this is a decent game that may scratch that itch.- Impulsegamer

It’s not a bad game… once you get the gist of it, but I would certainly say wait for a sale to get it if you’re interested because I couldn’t justify the current price given the play time and scope.- Impulsegamer
