It's a fantasticTelltale's follow up and way of capitalizing on the success of their Walking Dead game proves to be another fantastic story. It's a fantastic bit dark noir with a fairy tale theme. Even as someone unfamiliar with the Fables comics in which this game is based on I still felt fully invested in it's world. Prior reading isn't required to fully understand or enjoy the game.

Just like previous Telltale games there are a lot of choices to be made. There are dark moral dilemmas that are up to you decide the outcome of. Not only that, but you are also choosing exactly what kind of person the playable character "Bigby" is.

Do you give into the dark urges of the wolf beneath the skin? Or do you try to redeem yourself as the cop who plays things by the rules? No matter what kind of person you shape Bigby to be you are rewarded. It feels good to do the "right" thing, but it's just as satisfying to give into your violent tendencies. Especially when dealing with the scumbags of Fabletown.

Restraint or excessive force? That's for you to decide. With incredible writing brought to life by fantastic voice acting, incredibly satisfying action sequences, and a gripping mystery all the way through, Telltale's wolf delivers just as much as their zombies. If you can overlook the technical issues the game delivers in just about every way. It's a dark and mature tale. One shaped by your actions. A game I highly recommend checking out.

    The good:
A great investigative narrative story set in the Fable comic book universe of the Vertigo label (DC Comics). Its setting is very reminiscent of comics (although it is true that many characters do not completely resemble each other and there are some invented for this story that would later be introduced in Fables and in the prequel as a comic. The freedom of choice to resolve certain situations and see how your actions change in the events of the next chapter make it a very playable game if you want to see all the possibilities. It's on Xbox 360 (with 500G) and Xbox One with (1000G) very accessible to get

    The bad:
Very short game. If you don't connect with the characters or the story you may leave it. The game being a prequel to the first Fables story does not bother to bring up the situation or give it context as the game or the creators of the game "believe / believe" that you are familiar with the Fables universe. Being a prequel many of the characters are invented for this story (characters that were scrapped for the story of the comic, but with the success of this game they had to get their comic version). Personally I think it is the simplest point and click of all, so if you are looking for a challenge or something very difficult, this game may disappoint you. Even with its comic aesthetic the game (and the comic) is not for children.

    Lo Meh:
The TellTale people took a huge risk by launching a well-known but not a well-known comic book character game based on classic tales. And not the Disney princesses do not belong to Disney they are commercial versions of fables, legends and tales of the public domain and of expired copyright, I comment it because a certain Snow White comes out ... There is a disturbing moment (well there is several throughout the game) that being a prequel, those who know and have read the comic loses all impact.

The game is amazing because its dark and also realistic story, very well developed characters and the amount of action, although is not much its considerable when you are talking about a game focused in the story. Along the five episodes you would find a very well told story and meaningful dialogs. On the not so good side we can mention that the story is not as emotional as the walking dead, neither the weight of the decisions and in my personal opinion, the end was not as though as I expected. But there is no doubt that this is an incredible game with the "Telltale style". Expand

Telltale at its peak, loved the entirety of this experience and it had possibly the most compelling story in any game I've played to date.
