Graphically this game clearly has its own style, you start out by eating popcorn in a virtual cinema whilst a grandpa tells his grandson all about his times in the wild west, and you are portal-ed into that wild west world with a unique cartoon/team fortress-esque style. Everything looks gorgeous in the world and the sounds, animations and narrator make you feel really immersed.
The gameplay is basically a shooting gallery style arcade shooter. You are in a fixed location, and enemies run in from all angles whilst you try to pick them off as fast and accurately as possible. The fun however comes from the wide range of guns, lack of reloading and variety of enemy types and bosses to shoot.
The game is simple yet challenging and contains various difficulty modes (who’s icons are heavily inspired by Doom and Wolfenstein) as well as attempting to unlock more stars for higher scores.
From a VR Comfort perspective this game is top notch, you can sit down in a chair and enjoy the full game with little movement. With the initial pistols you may get tired trigger fingers but later on you get automated guns and more interesting options.
Mechanics wise, this game is simply point and shoot with various guns at various enemies and objects, very small learning curve.
The game on my system ran 100% smooth with no graphic issues whatsoever. I did notice 1 small bug with the starting pistols it seemed to have problems if you fire both triggers at once, only firing one gun or delaying the second shot, however you quickly learn to get into a left - right - left - right rhythm of firing anyway and gain access to different guns that require less trigger spamming anyway.
For the price you get a lot of content, fun gameplay and some level of replayability, so I would recommend this to anyone wanting a casual shooter experience in VR. However do not expect it to become more than a shooting gallery as that is the core of the gameplay.
