The Road to Elysim is exactly what you want in a DLC. More mind bending puzzles and challenges, a deep story and fantastic, varied world building and atmosphere. The stunningly detailed environment and solid 60fps performance help create an immersive and extremely enjoyable world to explore between puzzles. I would have loved to see a return of the mines and recorder mechanic, but maybe we could have this in a 3rd Talos Principle game? I can only hope for the series to continue.- Impulsegamer

This unnatural spiraling quandary is an exciting plummet into fear and insanity. The pulsating anxiety you feel while walking to the next exit to see if you made the right choice is like no other. The complementary audio design and graphical style really ups the ante in virtual reality by creating a space that feels lived in. The ease of the gameplay is alluring and the quick style challenge of finding the anomalies is compelling. The Exit 8 VR’s strong points exemplify the beauty of VR in a pronounced way and is so appealing that it may keep you from exiting the headset.- Impulsegamer

Despite its sometimes gruelling difficulty, Crossover is something of a genius idea. Taking three relatively simple ideas that couldn’t be further apart on the gaming spectrum and merging them into one, on paper, sounds like a recipe for disaster, but there’s something about Crossover that just keeps me coming back for more. Even when it frustrates me, surviving a round with my health battered, my armour gone and only my most basic attack left is wickedly satisfying stuff, pushing me to continue to see just how far I can get. Crossover: Roll for Initiative is casual gaming, there’s no escaping that, but it’s casual gaming for gamers.- Impulsegamer

As a concept I give the game full marks… the idea of learning a language via something as fun as gaming is brilliant. Unfortunately it’s a little rough around the edges and that might put some people off… but if you are keen to learn a new language (and there are a number on offer here)… this just might be good for helping supplement other forms of learning. I’m not sure it would be enough on its own… but it would certainly be a nice break from book after book after book. Worth a look if you want to get into learning other languages… but don’t expect it to be a total solution.- Impulsegamer

The retro game style seems a great choice for The Rocky Horror Picture Show game, the side scrolling and chip tunes almost create their own Time Warp! Though some game play elements can be annoying and frustrating to have to attempt over and over… the fact there is no death means it’s not nearly as annoying as it could have been. For fans of the musical or the movie there’s enough here to give quite a few grins of acknowledgement. It gives faces and names to far more of your giant ship’s crew, it finally lets you explore it, it adds a great subplot and companion, and it even adds the best music track in the game– the bumping tech choir sung in the Astropathic Chapel. Real Heroes: Firefighter HD is a really fun game that is satisfying to complete. The uncomplicated and unpressured nature the game provides make this an easy pick up for anyone who may be interested in a firefighting adventure. The quippy dialogue, assorted levels, compelling usage of firefighter tools, and rapid action serves up a quality experience. While some may prefer the previous art style from the original game, the comic book aesthetic looks great and contributes more to the game’s attitude. The game lacks much replay value with undesirable unlockables and there are some bugs that may set you a good way back into a level making you repeat objectives over again, but what is here is a gratifying time that will ignite your heart with a burning passion to keep playing and become a hero!- Impulsegamer

I really enjoyed my time playing Epyka. The puzzles are creative, the characters are amusing, and the story is interesting even though it’s a little “book by numbers”. I really wish I had more time in this world. Some puzzles felt too short; it was like right when I understood what I was doing, the puzzle was over. If there were ever a sequel to Epyka, I would be looking forward to how the mechanics and gameplay design might expand. Even if the game is a bit on the shorter side, Epyka is debuting at only $10, so you are getting a lot more bang for your buck here in this virtual escapade of uncovering the mysteries of the world and yourself.- Impulsegamer

I like the concept. I also don’t even really mind the high cost to upgrade everything, mostly because once you realise the false sense of time pressure of having to accept the next client as soon as they arrive is not real (clients come and go… the important thing is not to accept a new client if you aren’t ready to deal with their request… that’s when the real clock starts ticking). You can develop a workflow of gathering ore while you wait for an ingot to form or for the next client and start getting things ready for the next order. But when you’ve made so much progress to then have the game soft lock you and essentially throw all that (very) hard won progress away… it just becomes unplayable. Either wait until a patch that fixes these or possibly even have a look at the other blacksmith simulator that is available (yes there is a different blacksmith simulator in existence).- Impulsegamer

Undying is an isometric survival game about collecting materials while on the clock. The time increments and nature of the game make this an easy game to pick up and play leisurely. The routine story, choppy dialogue, and dry combat work for the most part but serve as a means to an end by being monotonous. All in all, both Legacy collections are an eye-opening reminder that we once got far more bang for our buck with older Sims titles. While the two re-releases aren’t perfect in terms of bugs, missing content and a few technical quirks, both games remain as fun as they ever were and the benefit of having new, legal ways to purchase them on modern digital game store-fronts cannot be understated. I really hope EA pays attention to fan feedback to these re-releases and learns some lessons from the past to improve the value of future patches, content and technical enhancements.- Impulsegamer

Overall I really enjoyed my experience with Leila, particularly the hand-drawn animations and how they drive the story. I’m hesitant to emphasis the ‘arty’ elements of this game as an ‘experience’ because I can remember so many times how hard it was for me to engage in a game that only ‘smart people’ play (or how hard it is to admit enjoying a game that only ‘dumb people’ play). On the other hand the more I reflect on my experience of Leila, rather than my playing of Leila, the more I realise I enjoyed it. Despite some friction from voice acting and annoying puzzle bits, I think this is a solid experience worth enjoying on PS5.- Impulsegamer

Space Venture definitely scratches some of the itches but also falls a little far of the mark. It’s not overly long (even with some frustrating late game problems to solve)… but the pop culture references and easter eggs plus the overall vibe do make it worth considering for fans of the original Space Quest games. It is still technically in Early Access so there’s a chance some of the issues will actually be fixed before it is officially released. As it is, given it’s not overly expensive… it might still be worth a look for fans of the original games.- Impulsegamer

Experiencing Trevor's story and the interplay between Trevor and Angela is engaging and high-quality entertainment. It's brief and the characters aren't particularly interesting, but American Arcadia is a game with plenty to say and it's inspired and a brief but pleasurable title that deserves attention.- Impulsegamer

Considering Battlesector has just celebrated its fourth birthday, Deeds of the Fallen makes it clear that there’s still some life left in the old strategy yet. Deeds of the Fallen was released alongside a brand new game mode, Crusade, further expanding the options available to solo players, and there’s still more content promised on the horizon. Lost in the endless sea of Warhammer games? If you want all the thrills of the tabletop experience, Battlesector, and in particular, Deeds of the Fallen, is the best place to start.- Impulsegamer

Offering a good weekend of binge play, or several days of casual pace, there are a lot of hours of genuine thrilling game play. The DLC is not intended to be the equivalent of the main story line, but it does offer a captivating story and purposeful gameplay, with genuine usable rewards. The ending felt a little predictable, but by no means less satisfying than expected. More precisely, it was so good that you actually are disappointed it finishes.- Impulsegamer

Void Sails started its journey strong, but snail-slow combat and movement took the wind out my sails. An impressive effort by a small develop team, that I wish had the chance to squeeze more juice from the lemon and deliver on what ultimately felt like grand ambition that was unable to be realised.- Impulsegamer

Gorn 2 is a decent sequel that takes the simple fun from the original Gorn and tweaks the formula just enough with even more traps, power-ups, and a decent cast of fleshed-out foes to battle. Fans of the original are bound to eat it up, while those new to the series will find a compelling comedy brawler with buckets of charm and chum to spare.- Impulsegamer

My Friendly Neighborhood is the kind of creepy I like; it takes the mundane and twists it just enough to feel threatening. It’s also the kind of game that wears its inspirations on its sleeve, a silly mix of Resident Evil and Sesame Street with a hint of Bioshock. Which, unfortunately, extends to a final act that doesn’t quite live up to the promise of its earlier chapters. Regardless, there’s still a lot to love about this fuzzy fright fest, and if you’re a less violent Resident Evil variation, or simply something as silly as it is spooky, you can trust the Szymanski’s to tell you how to get to My Friendly Neighborhood.- Impulsegamer

Hungry Meem is a quirky and chaotic strategy sim that blends resource management, exploration, and creature care into a deeply layered, if sometimes frustrating, experience. Its unique systems feed into one another in interesting ways, creating a gameplay loop that can be both rewarding and overwhelming. While technical issues and repetitive pacing hold it back, there's a strange charm to helping your oddball Meems rebuild their world beneath the World Tree.- Impulsegamer

Overall Maiden Cops is a serviceable game for a Beat ‘em up as long as you don't expect anything revolutionary you should have a more than pleasant time. It's also a short game with only 6 levels meaning it does not waste your time and a play through can be done normally within 1-2 hours. The Pixel art is well done if you can handle the fan service characters you should enjoy this game.- Impulsegamer

Rivenaar’s Grove is a compact sliding puzzle game where you play as a magician’s apprentice harvesting crops across 50 levels. Its clean visuals and clever mechanics, like portals and hazards, create engaging, but short-lived challenges. While enjoyable in bursts, the limited content and scope leave it feeling modest overall.- Impulsegamer

Otherskin does have some interesting game mechanics, the core idea is indeed pretty cool. For me it was just a bit too rough around the edges and lacking polish to keep me interested. If you are after a game with a slightly different approach that adds some new ways to play and complete levels (light puzzle solving)… it might be worth your time. I would probably recommend at least waiting for a sale though.- Impulsegamer
