A remastered version that improves some graphics aspects of the original and preserves its gameplay, but is plagued by poor optimization and suffers bad framerates even on the most powerful hardware.

Bloody and based on a fun battle system, Ascend: Hand of Kul is a free-to-play videogame which implements some interesting ideas without managing to exploit them to their full potential. It is a nice hack'n slash experience partially marred by some of its F2P elements.

Chimera Squad is a kind of XCOM-in-a-box: lighter, simpler, cheaper, and less interesting. Good if you are looking for some quick tactical fun, especially at this price point, but inferior to War of the Chosen in almost every way.

Despite being clearly inspired by Limbo, Monochroma finds its own voice and uses it to say interesting things. Sadly, its level design lacks imagination and the mechanics are a bit rough, so you should consider buying it only if you really dig its style.

Thanks to the charming personality and the insane amount of humour, you'll really, really want to love Deadpool. Yet this will feel like a huge wasted opportunity, with the greatness of the main character crushed underneath the inconsistency of the gameplay and the low-budget feel.

More than a proper sequel, Just Dance 2015 is an expensive data disk: the fun is definitely still there, yet after five years the series seems to be in need of some significant brand new features (or at least of a whole different business model).

The best hero shooter ever made launches on Switch with a fair porting that allows you to play with your favorite character anywhere. On the other hand, Overwatch on Switch had to make some compromises in order to keep the same game experience that we all love.

Baby Steps is a mix between a rage game and a walking simulator, where the player is required to have a lot of precision and patience. And I have no doubt that this title and its protagonist will find a place in the hearts of many gamers. At the same time, however, for some it could be a frustrating game, often involving long periods of downtime where you get stuck in one place or don't know which way to go. Furthermore, apart from the wonderful comic scenes, the game never really rewards the player for the effort made in reaching the goal, whether it be a campsite or a collectible. Perhaps Baby Steps is just a big metaphor teaching the player that life is about putting one foot in front of the other, knowing that falls will be frequent and disastrous, but that you can always get back up; or perhaps it's just a grotesque comedy, a title that knows how to make fun of itself and us, and that amid so much frustration manages to make us laugh a little at both Nate and ourselves.

A very ambitious action-RPG in The Witcher style, which sometimes convinces but in other aspects is still a bit immature.

Dangerous Driving is a fun but limited old-style racing game. Its sense of speed is exhilarating, but on a standard Xbox One/PS4 the frame rate drops to a not so exciting 30fps.

Reanimal is a disturbing and visually meticulous déjà-vu, where gameplay lacks courage and co-op isn't fully exploited. Still, better to play it in two than alone.

This Ultimate edition represents for Warriors Orochi what the Xtreme Legends Complete Edition represented for Dynasty Warriors: great content compendium of the old saga tradition but poor technological innovation for the new console generation. It's time to use tech force, Omega Force.

As a great fan of horror games, who sees one of the best moments in Dead Space, I do not hide that I ended my experience with The Callisto Protocol with a bad taste in my mouth. I found myself faced with a graphically remarkable game, with an honest albeit banal story and with a gameplay that works until you are confronted with the basic mechanics. On all of this, however, some conceptual and game-design problems have arisen. From an unrefined and substantially outdated user experience, to a disastrous Italian audio track, passing through the lack of a terrifying element, the cornerstone promise of The Callisto Protocol. In my memory will remain a game that I played from start to the end without serious technical or structural problems, but which will probably soon fade in my memory because it lacks a strong personality, a desire to stand out and the fundamental element for its genre: adrenaline.

Several times, while playing In Sound Mind, I wondered what it would have been if the same game had a higher production caliber. We Create Stuff's work has so much personality and so many beautiful ideas, and offers to the player an intelligent and fun experience. Too bad for the technical shortcomings, which cripple him in terms of fluidity and visual impact, making it a little less pleasant to go through the nightmares that unfold from Dr. Wales's recordings.

Deadly Premonition 2 is a real hymn to the principle that "graphics aren't everything". Stopping at the disastrous graphics of the game could deprive you of a very interesting experience, especially if you loved the first chapter. Narratively rich in cues and revelations, this sequel by TOYBOX is expressly dedicated to fans of the first Deadly Premonition, of which it captures history, characters and suggestions. Difficult, otherwise, to fully enjoy the one element that barely holds the entire production together: a fascinating story, framed by a surreal aura, deliberately over the top and quoting to the point of exhaustion.
