Sparc is the classic VR game with brilliant ideas and a physical activity required by the player above the average. However, the contents are few.

A smart and fun puzzle/platform game, not particularly original, but with some cool ideas.

Shadow Warrior is a good example of retro shooter like Serious Sam, Painkiller and Rise of the Triad. Blood, endless shootings, katana and monsters, a solid upgrade and rather large levels, but also repetitiveness and lack of multiplayer.

Deathtrap "is a trap every man of common sense would be happy to fall into", thanks to its catching tower defense gameplay with arpg elements imported from The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. An ephemeral beauty, though, especially for those who have already enjoyed it in the main saga.

A metroidvania full of explorable areas, with a good combat system, but unable to stand out or say its very own.

It doesn't quite manage to reach Fallout's brilliance and quality, but Encased is still a fun experience, capable of providing lots of meaningful possibilities and an interesting new post-apocalyptic world to explore.

The Surge 2 is a good sequel that adds new content and further improves the gameplay, but fails to correct the defects of the first episode of the series.

Colony Ship has flaws and is definitely not what I would call the most accessible RPG ever made. Still, suppose you have experience with the genre and like good tactical turn-based combats and plenty of exciting choices in a fascinating setting. In that case, this is definitely a game worth considering.

It's not particularly groundbreaking, but it's a nice graphic adventure, with a strong atmosphere and good puzzles.

Blackguards isn't a bad game. Far from it: actually, it's pretty good. But there is plenty of unused potential here, both in story and in gameplay.

Insurgency is a multiplayer tactical and highly realistic shooter, far away from the prevailing and more friendly patterns of Call of Duty and Battlefield, and therefore not suitable for everyone. The maps are not the best and the enemy AI in co-op would need some adjustment, but other than that Insurgency works pretty well.

Lords of the Fallen looks a lot like Dark Souls, but it doesn't reach its superb quality. It's still a good game, especially for gamers looking for a challenging Action RPG.

Metal Gear Survive is a good survival game that need some balancing. An interesting spin-off with is own dignity.

FIFA 18 on Switch is a competent football game, but gameplay and game modes-wise it's not the same game game seen on PS4 and Xbox One.

AO International Tennis is not perfect, but is a good mix of simulation (70%) and arcade (30%) and can only improve further thanks to the continuous support of the developers.

Resident Evil Zero HD is a good old school survival horror, full of great, dark atmosphere. Despite the obvious technical improvements it's the gameplay that suffers the most: clunky and often unintuitive, the game has aged badly, although this doesn't affect the overall quality of the game.

This is clearly not The Wolf Among Us at its best, even though it's got some interesting moments and a couple of cool choices. But it's clearly a little more than a preparation for the big finale.

Both a very nice tribute to Virtua Racing and a good arcade racing game per-se, Hotshot Racing is a nice single-player experience and a surprising multiplayer package.

Season After Fall is more convincing for its beautiful aesthetics than for its gameplay, but this discrepancy does not make it a title to be underestimated.

A mature and artistically wonderful adventure game. Puzzles are a bit on the easy side, though.

Without a doubt about it, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is the best asymmetrical multiplayer experience made by Illfonic and a good example of how to make good use of a famous film franchise. Hunting ghosts and haunting buildings is extremely fun especially in company, but in the long run it could be boring due to the presence of only one game mode.

No doubt: Farming Simulator 15 is the best agricultural simulation for the next-gen consoles. Warning: it's not for everyone.

Horace is a piece of art: music, story, ideas and design of the robot are gorgeous, even if the gameplay and controls lack of polish and the entire experience is a bit too long. Be ready to shed tears for Horace. It'll be worth it, especially in this Nintendo Switch version.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open world shooter that brings together a beautifully crafted huge map and a campaign that gives the player total freedom. The depth of the adventure is a bit flawed by the repetitiveness of the mission and a broken driving system.

Monster Energy Supercross 3 is a great experience for those wanting to enjoy the atmosphere and thrill of the AMA Supercross championship, thanks to a rich Career mode and a great gameplay inspired by the last game form Milestone, MXGP 3.

A good indie platform with interesting ideas, some techcinal problems but very funny to play.

Genshin Impact is a pleasant and unexpected surprise. With a perfectly sustainable business model the title of miHoYo is able to offer a complete and fun single player experience, all for free. Of course, the risk of getting caught up in compulsive buying mechanisms does exist, and I'm not cynical when I say that most of the game's revenue comes from this "type" of users. However, you can advance in the main campaign without spending a penny, since the world is set up in an organic way and always full of activities to do. Genshin Impact is therefore a more than discreet title, although its totally free nature could invest it with a higher "perceived value" than it really is.

A nice idea and a fun concept, but it probably hasn't got enough meat to entertain you in the long distance.
