This dark swordsman is one mysterious figure that needs to stride off back into the night.

As it is, the game still comes recommended...but only for non-epileptic players who have a high tolerance for frustration.

For everyone else, Demons of the past is a mediocre game that is not particularly memorable, with nothing much going for it.

Whether you are a fan of jazz or punk, Jazzpunk is certainly something you need in your life.

Rekoil is an uninspired first-person shooter that fails to deliver on any of its promise.

This is a game for people who want to climb leaderboards, a game for hardcore gamers who relish a challenge and don't mind taking time to get skilled at a unique control scheme.

KickBeat isn’t a bad game. KickBeat also isn’t a great game. It’s just okay.

Despite the lack of a storyline (apart from the opening cinematic), Violett does reasonably well in keeping itself interesting.

Insurgency is a breath of fresh air and I can easily see myself playing it every chance I get.

This game could have come out ten years ago, and it would have been great then, but it's great now too. That's the very definition of timeless.

If you are a seasoned turn-based strategy gamer, you can really sink your teeth into this one and get a run for your money. If you are not, you will still get both that run for your money and a crash course in applied survivor tactics.

The final gripe I have with the game is the biggest one. At a specific point in what I will assume to be the game's final act, it crashes. After loading several times and finally replaying the entire plot in order to see if it was the save file itself, I can safely conclude that the game itself is the issue.

Revengeance isn’t a perfect game but it sure is a fun one, and it made the jump to PC with ease.

The Banner Saga’s mature and gripping story, sublime visuals and soundtrack, and engaging gameplay make for a game that’s worth raising the banner for.

Taken on its own, “All That Remains” is somewhat problematic, but its flaws are easy to look past if you remember that it is only the first of five episodes.

In many ways, The Japanese Incentive makes Omerta feel like a more complete game. The turf war mechanic could certainly have been fleshed out a little more but it is easily the primary reason for picking up this expansion as it has a tremendous effect on how dynamic the strategic maps feel.

Zoink! has produced a game which is both smart and funny, one which both challenges convention and embraces it.

Computer users will desire something more, and although there are some unique mechanics here, the overall product just comes across as being pretty mediocre.

What really kill this game are the bugs. There are graphical bugs. There are puzzle bugs. There are bugs that crash the entire game, forcing you to close the program and start it up again. This is especially frustrating because the game relies exclusively on auto-saving, and only saves each time you complete a room. You can lose entire chunks of progress from these crashes.

It’s cute, but it’s useless. Let’s just call it what it is.

The potential is there, but Darkout just hasn’t reached it yet.

The addon would be good value for money and get a heartily made recommendation at half the price and a nod of approval at $15.

With just a little more variety thrown in, Mutant Mudds would have been an easy recommend, but as it stands it just doesn’t do enough to differentiate itself in an increasingly saturated indie platformer market.

Oozi: Earth Adventure looks like it is a simple casual game, and it is, particularly on the easier levels. It is one of those games that you waltz though, with little frustration.

However, I still wholeheartedly believe that Teslagrad is worth playing: Rain Games has made a fun twitch-puzzle platformer that both hits the right nostalgic notes while also carving out its own unique identity. There aren't enough games like this these days and despite its moments of extreme frustration, the game's beauty and charm were always enough to keep me playing.
