On one hand Alien: Isolation has great levels and some excellent sequences, but on the other it's too predictable, has technical issues and a disappointing Alien. In the beginning you'll be amazed, then you'll get bored, just to be excited at the very end. Isolation is much better than Colonial Marines but not as good as other survival horrors out there. It could (and should!) have been great.

Still Wakes the Deep is a very capable walking simulator, but that's it. No sparks of genius here. The game is quite monotonous, fortunately it delivers some fun with a unique setting and a really good, dramatic storyline that would fit a movie far better than a game.

WRC 4 is a decent game, but I have no doubt that a more talented team would have made it something great and a true knock-out for the competition (that barely exists, to be honest). The new WRC game fails in terms of content and new things and that's the result of wanting to deliver a new game once a year. WRC 4 continues the path taken by its superior predecessor, but lacks a strong punch.

How to Survive is a quite good game with a fair amount of flaws. After a longer session it can be boring, and the RPG & survival mechanics aren't being used sufficiently. Fortunately the fun coming from killing zombies is surprisingly strong. The game is quite cheap, has some interesting ideas and looks nice - these things should outweigh all the mistakes. But the most important question is this: are you not sick of zombies already?

I believe The Last Oricru is worth your time because it offers a truly interesting way of shaping its story. But first, the developers have to eliminate tons of bugs and fix the game's performance. Only then it will be a good RPG.

Fire Emblem: Engage offers a very pleasant and engaging combat system, but the story leaves a lot to be desired (especially when it comes to characters).

From Dust is a fun game, especially when someone wants to play god. Light and short missions allow the player to enjoy creating the world but after a while boredom creeps in. The locations change but the player is forced to do the same things over and over again. It's a game worth getting to know thanks to its great physics engine, but its not for everybody.

Crudelis is a game based on a terrific idea that is worth copying in the future. Unfortunately the execution in terms of the narrative and technical side isn't that good. If the type of gameplay and issues that characterize this game doesn't bother you, give it a shot. It's original enough.

The Elder Scrolls Online is a big game with a lot of work put into its creation. ZeniMax Online has created a large world with many quests and a cool PvP mode. The game tries to satisfy both solo gamers and MMO lovers, but the end result is short of expectations. TESO can be recommended only to the fans of the genre, who accept its flaws: repetitiveness, not very exciting combat and lots of simplifications. This "Skyrim online" is well made, but not very original.

We have lots of modes to choose from, but Kinect Star Wars is just a collection of minigames that is different from, say, Kinect Adventures only thanks to its Star Wars setting. It's one of better Kinect-only games, but skeptics won't be persuaded.

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is a game stuck midway between the past and the present. The remastering process took a lot of work and turned out pretty good but I can't understand why the gameplay was left intact without any modern polish. At first, the nostalgia was strong but fighting with the archaic solutions over and over again for a few hours was too much for me and I got bored.

Shardlight makes a great first impression - it looks like an old-school adventure game with interesting characters, a cool world and demanding puzzles. Unfortunately after some time the game focuses only on the story and neglects the gameplay. The technical side is ok, pixel art adds some charm, but all in all it's simply an "ok" game. Nothing more.

Going East! is a decent expansion that unfortunately offers only new terrains and no additional changes. It's a dream come true for gamers eager to conquer polish roads, but everybody else should wait for a next add-on, that will surely appear someday. I'm a bit disappointed - I wanted something more, than just new cities and roads - new trucks would be great.

New version of L.A. Noire does not disappoint but at the same time it does nothing to make me love this really good game some more. This remaster is just fine - nothing more, nothing less. It offers fancy things like HDR and 4K but there's nothing really new, so if you already own L.A. Noire, skip this version.

Seven: The Days Long Gone is a truly unique RPG. It's a comic book-stylized stealth isometric adventure in a techno-magical world. Seven can generate tons of fun but only until you encounter one of the many strange bugs and issues. You should wait for some serious patching and buy the game once it's done - it has a potential that deserves to be fully realized.

The new Thief is the weakest installment in the series - a game that loses much of the unique narrative and protagonist creation. There are too many inaccuracies, errors and bad gameplay solutions as well. But on the other hand, there were moments that made me forget about all that and truly believed in this world. All in all the new Thief shows that grey is the new black. The game has good mechanics that were wasted - as a fan I'm really disappointed.

Borderlands 4 is a great correcting of the mistakes of Borderlands 3, a good “Borderlands”, but only an adequate game, with huge optimisation issues.

An unfinished game with many bugs casting a shadow on an otherwise good and demanding FPS. Do you remember all the announcements preparing us for a multiplayer campaign and cooperative skirmish? These modes are not finished yet. I'm disappointed that a game not so different from the beta version appeared on the market. Tripwire Interactive has a thing for supporting its games so I'm sure that after several patches and mods Red Orchestra 2 will fly. But for now it's not worth a full price.

Atlas Fallen is a shallow RPG. I strongly believe that with less work, it could be a much better action-adventure game. If you approach it with this mindset, it might seem like a quite good game.

Far Cry: New Dawn is a quickly produced FC 5 with a new texture pack and some funky colors. Although the plot does not reach its potential, the game has some really creative missions, the graphics are beautiful, and the music is great. If only the cool shooting mechanic wasn't limited by the new "color system".

Syberia 3 arrived too early. It's an adventure with a soul that wants to share a great story with us all. So why, oh why, do I get so angry with this game? I played it, I was amazed, I was furious, I forgave it, and then I played it again. Hopefully some serious patches will fix the most pressing issues and the game will become great again.

Layers of Fear is a linear game that is a few steps behind the horror titans. The 4 hours needed to see the ending couldn't be considered wasted time but I had some doubts during. The game can scare you pretty well - unfortunately after a while the pattern becomes too repetitive (at the same time this is the moment where the rooms become more interesting). Layers of Fear takes some stuff from the P.T. demo - but when you copy, you should do it from the best source possible.

ArmA III has kept me busy for months, and its final version made me feel ambivalent. On one hand we have a great technological leap, on the other - poor content. Sure, ArmA III isn't your regular shooter that needs to have an interesting, long campaign - it's a game that lives through the community - but it's a pity, that the gamers were given so little to work on. Arma III was supposed to be great, and right now is only promising.

The newest expansion for Heroes VI - Shades of Darkness - is worth your attention, but it's far from perfect. The new and improved dark elves with cloaking ability are a welcome thing. Unfortunately the game lacks proper balance between power and magic and commanding Realag's army doesn't give you the feeling of controlling a great force. Still - the fans will be pleased, because Shades do not deviate from a well liked, basic gameplay of Heroes VI.

Transport Fever 2 has some serious pros - great system of logistics, sensible industry model, pretty environments and detailed vehicles. It's a great shame that two of the game's major elements fall completely flat, effectively nullifying its advantages - the economy of the game is opaque and flawed, and there are no real game modes to play.

Blackguards is an interesting game that tries to merge classical cRPG elements with some interesting novelties. But beware - right now it has a lot of issues considerably limiting its potential. Fortunately the story is great and rewards any suffering the game may cause. Fans of the genre should be very pleased, everyone else - wait for some patches.

If you don't have mad skills or lots of patience, keep away from Redeemer. But if you like bloody gameplay with a really high difficulty level - remember this one. The second half becomes boring and there are some technical issues but its fierce attitude, pretty graphics and low price make it worth your while.
