Far Cry Primal on the PC looks like a well prepared conversion - stable, pretty and optimized. But these days that's not enough - a game running on a much more powerful hardware should be unique and FCP isn't. It's hard to justify spending money on a superb PC that will run the game in the highest settings when an equally good console version runs great on a cheaper machine. And you need to remember that Primal is just a visual overhaul of Far Cry 4.

Starhawk has some great moments. Situations that give the illusion of taking part in a great battle somewhere beyond and still dependent on the strategic skill of the players can be seen quite often. But the price is that you have to spend additional time playing.

Assassin's Creed: Identity disappoints at first - the missions are too quick, the steering too clumsy and the campaign too short. Fortunately, after a while the RPG features become interesting and developing the character or completing tasks becomes really enjoyable. Of course, after some time the gameplay becomes repetitive and the entire game hangs somewhere between small, mobile games and big, console products.

Thea has a very specific, Slavic atmosphere and combines several genres which in the end makes for a really unique strategy game. It's not for everybody and the gameplay is uneven but I hope the developers will explore this area. After some technical and gameplay tweaks Thea could be something big.

Wo Long is a good starting point for soulslike newbies and some needed breather for more experienced players. They won't break a sweat, but their time won't be wasted. Wo Long has a really well-designed combat system. Pity that nothing else is as good.

If you feel that a detective story mixed with Lovecraftian occult is right up your alley - Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is THE game for you. But don’t expect a more ambitious storyline or challenging puzzles.

All in all, MADiSON is a good game but a mediocre horror. I have some serious issues with it, but I can’t dismiss the potential. I believe the next game will be able to compete with Visage, and I’m already waiting for it impatiently.

Minecraft Legends should provide a lot of fun in small doses because most of the gameplay mechanics are superb. What’s more, the game will receive a multiplayer mode in the future, which should offer a completely different experience.

Two Point Campus forgives a lot and offers pure fun. This game sucks you in fast and makes it easy to forget about the world around you.

Sorcery is a good game that - despite low expectations - brings a fresh breeze into the genre and perhaps will become a source for new solutions in arcade games in general. PS Move's potential is used almost in its entirety and hopefully it will mark the beginning of high quality games for this controller.

Lords of the Fallen is a good game with some interesting ideas that falls short in some (really important for the genre) areas. If someone made me choose the best soulslike of 2023, I would lean towards Lies of P.

If you don't like playing online, don't buy Shadow Fall just yet - either wait for a serious discount or forget about it entirely. The game isn't worth buying just for the campaign, which turns out to be poorly designed, kind of boring, uneven and unoriginal. New Killzone is really pretty, but its biggest asset is a well designed, engrossing multiplayer mode.

Forza Motorsport 5 is a truly great game burdened with very bad marketing choices. It has an excellent driving model and superb graphics, but lack of some basic elements and the publisher's greed, that makes gamers pay lots of extra money for something that should be free, are really serious flaws. In case this extra content is made available for free, I will happily modify my opinion.

Zero Sum Games has created a worthy addition to the 4X genre. What is more - modders are already creating more and more cool modifications for StarDrive. Ergonomics and gameplay rules should be more user-friendly, but the game itself is far from boring or tiresome. 4X fans will be pleased.

Tempest Rising is a classic RTS with a campaign, a spiritual successor to Command & Conquer that painstakingly remakes all things we know from the past. It won’t make the publishers want to give us more games like this, but it is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy sky above RTS land. One that will make fans of C&C smile.

Prototype 2 is a solid game, but I want for it to be the best. Sandbox games tend to keep me entertained for a long time, therefore I like studios that are up for the challenge. Radical Entertainment did their homework - the game has seen a lot of work, but too few good ideas. What really works is the strength of the Prototype itself: it gives the player unique abilities in exchange for some invention.

This SimCity expansion freshens up the concept of building a metropolis, adds new buildings and solutions, but the game itself is still the same - well known and questionable mechanisms still rule, the building area is too small and some engine errors can irritate all the same. If you've been satisfied with SimCity, you should be happy with this expansion. If you want bigger and more complex changes, you won't find them here.

Witcher: Monster Slayer is an app with a big potential that still waits to be properly realized. The gameplay is very engaging, but there needs to be a bigger goal - collecting trophies is cool, questing while walking is cool, but the lack of any group activity (raids?) is not cool.

Gord is an alright game. But that’s it. Nothing more. I had more fun playing this than, say, the new Settlers, but there’s so much unused potential here that a hypothetical sequel could be infinitely more interesting.

Four years have passed since the debut of SnowRunner and I definitey wanted more from Expeditions. What we got is a quick variation of the previous game that enables you to make everything faster with a mini-game. I'm not feeling this "expedition" - this is a dispencer of missions.

Even debutants could have done a better job, but still Dreampainters' game is engrossing and does so without much trouble – if you become annoyed by a puzzle and leave the game for a while, soon enough you will find yourself trying again. Anna has a great, scary atmosphere – and there are no cheap jump scares, the game slowly makes you have goosebumps. Unfortunately, there are flaws: occasional lack of logic or a fairly short story.

The Evil Within is an unoriginal but interesting concept that keeps the player on the edge of his or hers seat and makes the blood flow faster. It's a shame that outdated gameplay mechanics surfaces fairly quickly (and begins to frustrate shortly after). The game is quite easy to be memorized move by move, room by room - and that kills all the horror. The Evil Within is not bad at the survival part, it's quite good as a stealth game and mediocre as a shooter. It has an interesting story and dull characters - all of that can be fun, but I think expectations were much bigger.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD turned out quite good. A purely acrade gameplay has aged well and modern looks leave little to be desired. A small amount of content can be painful, but if you haven't had the opportunity to discover this great series – THPS HD makes for a great beginning. In case you are a veteran – this game works like a nostalgic time machine and a couple of minutes is enough to feel like it's 1999.

I'm a hardcore pokemon fan and it pains me to admit that Pokemon GO is an unfinished product that still requires some work. It's hard to fairly grade such a social phenomenon so soon, especially when it can provide real fun. Walking around your own city, meeting other players and pokemon is really cool but right now Pokemon GO is just a good idea that has not reached its full potential.

Destiny has an interesting, original idea for an online shooter that is wrapped in some excellent production value but stands on really weak legs. Bungie's game has a potential to be adored by many, but it depends on their tolerance for repetitiveness. In time, all of this will probably be extended and built upon, but right now this is just a dream. I quite like Destiny, but I won't be spending many more hours with this game.

Just Cause 3 is a good game, but it should be better. The open world is phenomenal, chaotic fun makes you smile and graphics are extremely pretty. Unfortunately the gameplay is plagued with minor technical issues, clunky combat and weak storyline. The flaws are small but there is a lot of them - hence a little let down.

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One is a good game but not in the same league as it's predecessors. I believe it wasn't supposed to be like that but it seems that Insomniac put less effort into it. Perhaps making two big games at the same time is too much for this team?

UFC Personal Trainer is an interesting game but not for everyone. A person looking primarily for some fun and then for the possibility to do some work done won't find anything interesting here. But if you're not interested in graphics and are looking for some real workout - it's the right thing for you.

How does Valhalla Hills look in comparison with famous Settlers franchise? The developers have failed in some areas, and succeeded in others. Fortunately, completing new maps and goals is very pleasant - every fan of colorful strategy games based on economy should consider this game. If not now maybe after some discounts?

The technology and mechanics clearly show how good this game could be. Naughty Dog's genius spark is missing and what we got is just good craftmanship. It's a great base for a real Uncharted for PS Vita, that most likely will debut in a year or two.
