A weak football simulation that lacks any real depth, making you wonder what the necessity of trying to bring back was.

With its bouncy physics and ludicrously aggressive AI, Tiny Racer feels unbalanced at best, completely unfair at worst. This makes for one of the least fun racers around.

Greyhill Incident could have cornered a niche in the market, yet its forgettable story, poor dialogue, and lazy gameplay make it one to miss.

I can only hope that something else comes along soon to show us what Kinect 2.0 is truly capable of, because if this is it, we’re in for another generation of shockingly disappointing movement-controlled video games.

The problem is not wholly in the execution or even in the intent; the very act itself is questionable. After playing this, I had to ask myself, “What is the point of this?” If I wanted the same experience, I could have easily gone back to Silent Hill or Racoon City for a much richer, nostalgia-filled trip.

There’s a good puzzle game in here somewhere, but the way in which it’s presented is simply too cold and uninviting.

Decent sound and visuals at least indicate there was some thought put into its development, but it doesn’t make up for the complete lack of substance in terms of gameplay.

The game itself isn’t as good as many other infinite runners and, while the art does look appealing – staying true to its comic book roots – there’s no denying that the sluggish gameplay and repetitive nature take a lot away from what could have been a rather enjoyable gaming experience – particularly for heavy metal fans.

The Serious Sam Collection is what it is: loud, stupid, colourful, amicably-offensive and a lot of fun – and for your money you’re getting an absolute wealth of shoot-em-up content.

It’s not a bad game as such, it’s just uninspired, unrewarding and unremarkable.

Happy Dinos is just about endless repetition with no sense of reward or purpose other than to make you part with your money through IAPs.

The presentation won’t wow you, the story won’t thrill you and the characterisation is paper-thin. But if you enjoy juggling your resources, plotting and organising your army, and have a slight lean towards obsessive compulsiveness, you may find that Dragons of Atlantis provides a long-term gameplay experience.

Splatter: Just Harder Times is an ill-conceived, poorly made game that has almost no redeeming qualities. Everything about the game screams mediocrity, and it’s hard to recommend it to even fans of the genre.

Challenging yet rewarding, this is a game that is at its best when the player is experimental with their strategies.

What Dodge This! does, it does fairly well (slow-down aside), but there is little here that will make it stand out against the swathes of competition.

The production values are top-notch, especially for a game that comes with such a low price tag. However, while I’m not normally one to criticise lifespan, especially in a low-priced game, something about Last Knight just didn’t keep my interest long enough to make it a truly great recommendation.

If you can handle the grind, there is a lot of RPG content here; at the very least, it certainly feels like this mobile version would be a nice accompaniment to the browser version.

If you’re in need of a distraction then Ricochet does enough to amuse, but anyone with sights for something even slightly robust should investigate other avenues.

On the 360 the uses of Smartglass are minimal, but pretty cool nonetheless, allowing you to use your phone or tablet to perform the Hacking minigame or manage your skills and inventory. It’s very cool, and certainly feels very “digital age”, but it’s not much quicker or easier than using the controller.

Me Vs. You tries to do something a little different, and while I can’t fault the developers for their good intentions, the simple fact is that two player games don’t work if the rules are too complicated and the user interface is too bewildering.

This is the perfect case of a game being based on a great initial idea, but being slightly let down by it’s execution.

Physics puzzling is the name of the game and for the hour or two that it lasts, Cubicity offers a pleasant workout for the mind that’s slightly frustrating, but full of enough eureka moments to make it worthwhile.

It brings absolutely nothing new to the existing release besides a slightly updated loot system, but adds a genuinely compulsive survival mode for those who want to play out their zombie apocalypse fantasies without constant calls for help and a mountain of busy-work to get through.

Those of you who finished Stealth Inc and immediately wanted more will get a lot from The Lost Clones. If you never got through the original game, however, then this DLC pack brings nothing to the table to make it any more worthwhile. More of the same, then, but that’ll be more than enough for some.

Createrria ultimately fails in its attempt to allow you to create games; instead it is at best a glorified level editor for retro platformers and Angry Birds clones. Those who stick with it may eventually build something great, but the majority will drop out after a few hours at most.

Having a couple more categories on offer after buying the app in the first place would have been nice, but the selection that is available isn’t terrible. Just make sure you’re not playing with the same people over and over, or you may find the same words cropping up again and again.

Kick the Kitties is a solid game, but what it should really be applauded for is existing at all. It proves that even the craziest idea can be turned into a fully functioning game – and a quite enjoyable one at that.

Behind the shoddy visuals, there’s an interesting idea for a game, although it doesn’t feel like there’s enough to the mechanics and general gameplay to liven things up.

Young Justice: Legacy exists as a video game accompaniment to the TV series, and in this regard it’s a repetitive, unsatisfying, and unimpressive failure. There are better scrolling beat-em up’s out there, and there’s more than enough Superhero media around to help you avoid playing this.
