A passable game only recommended for people who really loved the anime or manga and are starving for a game.

In a game that can be finished in under an hour, Bubsy doesn’t so much as strike back, but rather say a few harsh words before getting pummeled into the ground.

The Huntsman: Winter’s Curse is a turn-based RPG without the deep upgrade systems and gripping stories you’ve seen in other games within the genre.

WWE 2K20 lacks anything new, with a poor story mode and bad animations, and the wrestling is plagued with technical issues that ruin any kind of enjoyment you may have.

Rodea The Sky Soldier on 3DS has very few good things going for it, overshadowed by atrocious controls and bland visuals. It is designed to be replayed, but I don’t ever want to experience it again.

It's such a shame that Bravo Team is bad because Supermassive has made some great games, but this is by far the worst.

Does a good job of showcasing the spirit of the turtles, but never reaches its potential and will let you down with repetitive combat, lack of local co-op and bland environments.

Jumanji: The Curse Returns is a fun multiplayer card game, but there just isn’t enough reason to play it for very long.

Exploring Balan Wonderworld's levels can be fun, but ultimately its single button gameplay and technical issues hold it back.

The potential is actually staggering, but the reach exceeds their grasp, and in the end they’re left with a game that, frankly, underachieves in almost all the ways that matter.

The Uncertain: Light at the End isn't a bad game, but so much of it feels uninspired and done before that it fails to thrill or excite.

Calvino Noir needed less time and effort spent on aesthetics and more spent on gameplay and delivery.

The whole game is a large pile of harmless fun for a saturday afternoon when nothing much needs doing. If you’re a grown-up fan of the series, then this is the game for you.

A decent attempt at a dungeon crawler, but there just isn’t the same appeal or craftsmanship seen in games like Diablo 3 or Baldur’s Gate.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is putrid, crass and brash. It makes no apologies for this, and if you’re in tune with the kamikaze ninja protagonist then the game’s style will carry you much of the way. Unfortunately, though, Yaiba’s chaotic nature has led to a combat system that throws away the usual finesse of its father franchise for something so anarchic it frequently borders on unplayable. At times this direction is inspired, but it’s often just frustrating to the point where you have to wonder if it’s deliberate.

Rise of the Dark Spark is a step back from Fall of Cybertron, and that’s an utter travesty.

The story is clichéd, badly delivered and far too derivative of games like Uncharted. The gameplay is irritating – let down by strange design choices and niggly control issues; sadly, what little the title does well is mired in these basic gameplay complaints.

Structurally it’s a mess, with most missions playing out as grind-fests through dull-as-dishwater locales, and with the kind of misogynistic portrayal of supposedly-strong female characters that gives the genre a bad name, this is the very worst that JRPGs have to offer, and we can only recommend that you divorce yourself from any thoughts of shelling out your hard-earned cash on it.

Even at just shy of three quid, this feels like poor value. Small developers should be taking these opportunities to create interesting and worthwhile ideas, not pointless relics like Turtle Tale that belong on a Mastertronic cassette in the darkest recesses of gaming’s past.
