Yakuza 3 is another strong entry in a series that deserves your time.

Heavy Rain is not a game, but an experience. At times you make feel like a passenger, but the ride is worthwhile, and extremely enjoyable.

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing could well have been a disaster for Sega, it could of seen them laughed at from all sides, with what looked every bit like a cash in on Nintendo's success with Mario Kart. What we got though was not only a fine casual racing game, we have what is possibly the one of finest kart racing games since 1992.

The control gripes aside, Aliens vs Predator is a good game, but it will certainly appeal more to fans of the two franchises.

This iteration is no different, but also like the other games is the fact that the script, characters and story once again make this a very endearing entry in the series, and another that is well worth checking out.

The story is fantastic, the gameplay is spot on, visuals and sound are perfect, multiplayer is fine. It is however a lot more of the same, it doesn't really improve overall on the original.

Chime is a charity game, but far from a charity case. At 400 points you would be forgiven for buying it as your good deed for the year, but what you will actually get it one of the best and most well balanced puzzle games in years.

When all’s said and done, and in spite of our qualms and nitpicks, Mass Effect 2 truly is an excellent game.

All in all the game is a marked improvement over the first, with the addition of new weapons, a great sound track, and the same brilliant combat.

Do you want a no holds barred, no brainer and almost textbook definition of “old school” FPS to play? If so, go ahead and make the purchase.

Vancouver 2010 fails to impress on many levels; whilst the events covered are not implemented badly, they are shallow and tedious, saved only by the simple controls and impressive visuals.

Although the combat can get repetitive, and Darksiders has adopted a tried and tested format, the story, style, and atmosphere make playing through Armageddon a unique and involving experience.

Ultimately despite of the unduly harsh criticism that surrounds this version, there is no denying the quality of Bayonetta even when the storyline becomes a little too spun out for our taste.

We admire a series that is willing to shake things up and try out new ideas, and we really commend Climax for being daring enough to make such a bold and inventive game. However, the problems we’ve highlighted are compounded by the fact that the game is now entirely reliant on its scares, and those just don’t make you fear for your virtual soul as the original games did.

Maybe it's indicative of Nintendo's current business model; making family friendly games that are simple, and won't rock the boat. Yes, they had a winner with Phantom Hourglass, but Spirit Tracks reeks of complacency.

It's sad to say that it's just not worth persevering through the tortuous controls. The story is not particularly gripping, and the decisions that affect the progression aren't provoking.

With a rather lovely soundtrack in addition to everything else, The Next Chapter may not be as ambitious as 5th Cell's other game, Scribblenauts, but it is a nice little platformer that may get your artistic juices flowing. Just don't go expecting anything too deep and you may be pleasantly surprised.

With a few more tweaks Borderlands could’ve been an essential purchase, as it stands though it may be a great game, but outside of that niche of gamers that enjoy the genre, it may find it difficult converting others.
