A game that surpasses EA's "The Godfather." Knowledge of Scarface is not necessary, but you will respect Tony Montana or else.

A typical Platinum game, that does justice to the Transformers licence.

Repeated playthoughs are marginally less frustrating as you already know what's coming, but hardly counter for the sloppiness of level design.

If you are after an arcade racer that doesn't take itself too seriously, then this is for you. It won't suit everyone, but as a package it offers plenty for those who want to dive in. The is plenty of content across all the available modes and the introduction of RaceNet should keep the dedicated entertained for a long time.

The odd moments of joy don’t warrant sitting through the rest of the tedium and broken mechanics for. This cash cow has been well and truly milked.

Chibi Robo is a great little game, although can become more of a chore towards the end. Earning happy points for an essential upgrade to advance the story can feel slightly monotonous, and dulls the appeal of the first few hours of play slightly.

It does its best to dissuade you from playing, looking like it was put together on a budget of about 50p, yet offers one of the most superlative and complete 2D fighting experiences Gamestyle has had the pleasure of playing in recent years.

Hydro Thunder Hurricane will not be the stand out title of the 'Summer of Arcade', but for fans of the original and newcomers alike, it is a wonderful experience that deserves your attention.

In truth Wolverine could have scored higher simply due to more time being allowed for bug testing, and possibly having no association with the terrible film. But that doesn’t prevent it from being a good solid, and ultimately, fun game.

A great fighting game that is unfortunately let down by a few bugs.

The new title feels like it was made by someone who has only ever seen Youtube videos of the 2D Sonic games and taken a very poorly educated guess on how it should control.

An enjoyable single player tower offense game that unfortunately suffers from a barren and empty online multiplayer.

Prototype 2 improves on the original title in every way. Game play feels more rewarding and overall the whole thing feels like a much better package. This is never going to be a system selling classic, but it is a fun experience and a game that you won't regret buying.

While it may not be the return of a golden genre so many people fondly remember, Sam & Max: Save The World is still a game that should be supported.

Gamestyle thoroughly enjoyed Rainbow Six: Lockdown. The campaign is an improvement over previous games, but the ropey enemy AI and prevalence of bugs can soon annoy.

XIII may not 'revolutionise' the genre, but it certainly tips its hat to some revolutionary (FPS) elements, including the platformesque addition of the grapnel and...an obeisance to singing soldiers.

A major control issue is the analogue stick, which is almost on a par with the diabolical handling of "Daytona USA 2001." Driving with the stick puts you at an immediate disadvantage, because you have no qualifiable range of movement - the stick needs to be pushed fully to extract any response, and even then it's never subtle enough.

Rolling about collecting bananas and teetering along slender ledges is as daft and fun as ever. Whilst it may lack the challenge of its predecessors, the novelty of the Wii's well suited tilt controls - coupled with some lovely level designs - make this an entertaining launch title.
