If for some reason you never opted for The New Order then this could be the perfect introduction. Opening chapter aside, The Old Blood is just as good as its predecessor with excellent combat, nice visuals and an intriguing story.

The humorous parody, satire and carnage of Destroy All Humans is enjoyable, but the experience is significantly lessened by far too much repetition, some frustrating sections, a lack of proper sense of destructive scale, and free-roaming areas that are too small and don't contain that much of interest outside the main story.

Evolve is a game that walks a fine tightrope of success and failure with its setup. Luckily it manages to stay balanced and become a worthwhile purchase.

Beneath the gore and gritty urban realism is a well-designed and challenging game. Killing is never meant to be fun, but in Manhunt there is a sick satisfaction to be gleaned from each and every kill.

A terrible map system and dated graphics are only just outweighed by the classic gameplay that lies underneath. This is for die hard Mega Man fans only.

This entry into the series is the weakest of them all, but that is like comparing Disney Pixar films to each other. The worst Batman game is still better than most games that see the light of day, but the setting and storyline of Origins just feels like a bit of a misstep.

And as long as you follow good online etiquette and choose good people to play with, this is possibly the best example of how the Xbox Live experience should be... exactly how you want it to be.

Gamestyle still has concerns over the longevity of what could be a glorified Wiimote training session; but we were surprised at how much fun is here for the short term at least. It’s shallow, yet immensely playable, and a great introduction to this revolutionary system.

Tales of Hearts R is the RPG for everyone. A wonderfully balanced game for casual and hardcore fans alike.

It is a shame that 1000 Tiny Claws is limited to the D-pad, as an analogue stick option would have improved the level of control but the game is mainly designed for the PSP and being on the move. The combat is also limited in the respect that there is no diagonal attack of function; this is a traditional horizontal and vertical fighter. Yet these are minor quibbles in what is a thoroughly enjoyable blast of gaming, best enjoyed in short bursts and one that doesn't cost the earth.

Tomb Raider Underworld is an enjoyable romp.
