Overall, Yatagarasu: Attack on Cataclysm is a solid fighting game with some nice mechanics but it really has its work cut out to overthrow the current crop of fighters.

A game that manages to deliver an online experience which completely overwhelms the single-player mode.

With a rather lovely soundtrack in addition to everything else, The Next Chapter may not be as ambitious as 5th Cell's other game, Scribblenauts, but it is a nice little platformer that may get your artistic juices flowing. Just don't go expecting anything too deep and you may be pleasantly surprised.

Enough cutscene and Land Shark buffoonery accompanies their jaunt across Milola to cover the price of (one's) tagging along. Strip them away and the barenaked shooter still plays better than most. That it somehow feels disappointingly ordinary only serves to confirm the creative genius evident in the rest of the 'designer' garb.

Both parts of the game are excellent, highly addictive and original, and if you’re looking for a different kind of game (albeit a slightly annoying one at times) or you just want an entertaining, well-constructed experience, Second Sight demands your attention.

Alan Wake himself is a cold, moody and clinical character, so much so that Gamestyle felt no affinity with his onscreen presence. We however, warmed to the actual gaming experience, but still left short changed and disappointed, especially after such a long gestation period.

It's very clear that the developers really do care about the project and all the sources which are parodied and that helps most of the games faults to be forgiven. Retro City Rampage is certainly a game that fans of retro gaming should play and you should have a great time – it's just not likely you'll return after finishing it.

The Conduit has the best controls of any First Person Shooter on the Wii by far. It would be unfair to say that this is not supported by a decent single-player campaign or online multiplayer, but The Conduit is certainly lacking in these areas.

While not a complete success, it is a refreshing change and a step in the right direction, unlike Quantum of Solace.

Undoubtedly a fun game. Anyone who has played a Kirby title before will not find anything particularly new here but everything is done in a very inventive and fun way.

Moto GP is rather desirable for anyone that loves their simulated bike racers and the PSP once again proves that it's a decent handheld for racing fans.

By merging two franchises Midway is being quite clever. Mortal Kombat and DC fans will lap this up and for the uninitiated it’ll still provide ample enjoyment.

There's fun to be had with Ridge Racer 3D, and it's a decent showcase of what the 3DS can do. There's room for improvement but there's nothing fundamentally wrong with it. We'd definitely recommend it to fans of the series and newcomers alike.

An RPG that is screaming out for 'essential' status, but due to the complete lack of a learning gradient ends up being unnecessarily difficult and frustrating to play.

The game features enough levels and unlockable extras to keep the player engrossed for a long time; so Barbie and horse fans alike - male and female, young and old - will all get something out of this.

Easily the most distinctive and unusual title exclusively available via the PS Store. For £3.49 you receive 128MB of something rather unique and eye opening but others will thoroughly hate the lack of structure and goals, as many play to win or obtain the highest score.

The control gripes aside, Aliens vs Predator is a good game, but it will certainly appeal more to fans of the two franchises.

A fine simulation of the technical game of poker, but just cannot hope to reproduce what makes poker so great.

With that said, Biology Battle is certainly in the upper spectrum of Geometry Wars clones, but whether you want to fork out 800 points for it depends on your love for the genre, and the deepness of your virtual wallet.

Excels in a superb multiplayer mode that will keep your friends glued (or gawking at the screen).

Credit is due for the canny and accurate use of a line judge, and memorisation of the last picked team for exhibition and arcade games - and for the wonderful replays, enabling you to see all of the action. Part of that action is, naturally, some breast-juggling. We just thought you'd like to know.

SingStar virgins and hardcore fans could do a lot worse than start here, but for everyone in between, it may be worth waiting for the SingStore to fill before making the jump.

The effort that has gone into this game is clear from the start. This game was made by a very small team, and mostly by one man, so tip your hats to them. In terms of playability though, it is basic, and even tedious at points. But that is what it is trying for. Old games were repetitive, and painfully difficult, and RCR is just trying to replicate this.

An enjoyable single player tower offense game that unfortunately suffers from a barren and empty online multiplayer.

It's just a shame that the online service is so 'imperfect' - because the game could have easily scored an extra point (or two) had it worked properly.

Dirt 3 is a fine game and the action is as quality as always, the introduction of Gymkhana is a welcome one and offers a new challenge. However some baffling decisions on content stop the game being a true great of the genre. It almost feels like a first in a series, rather than the third.

This episode is the most amusing yet, but again, comes with the same problems.

A small problem that shows itself from time to time is that Gromit is a touch slow and clumsy when executing moves; this is due to the fact one animation must be completed before allowing our hero to initiate the next.
