It is unfortunate that the solo experience feels uncompelling; despite every effort to do otherwise, it's not likely to maintain interest except to hone your skills for the next time you face a worthy opponent, or earning a few more gold points to buy yourself a silly hair-do.

Tony Hawk’s Project 8 is easily one of the most enjoyable and addictive experiences to date for the PlayStation 3.

Dogfight 1942 isn't a game that would have been on the radar, but it is a very pleasant surprise. It's not as good as some the the full retail efforts, neither is it your long awaited alternative to Crimson Skies. It is however a fun and entertaining game, that offers up plenty of thrills throughout your time with it. The lack of online options is a hard pill to swallow though and may keep some players away, but despite that, it is one that is well worth picking up.

Turtles in Time Re-Shelled isn’t trying to redefine scrolling beat-em-ups on XBLA; it's merely trying to offer a bite-sized nugget of updated retro fun, and that's exactly what Ubi-Soft have given us with this.

Lost however is some of the speed and flow of the previous games; a little too much in the way of exploration involved for a Sonic game (if you want to find all the bonus level entrances anyway).

If you want a game that lets you partake in massive battles - with little degree of difficulty - then you'll enjoy Spartan's quest to rid the world of the evil Romans.

For fans of the sport, and those adept at fighting titles looking for a new beat 'em up, UFC Undisputed 2010 is about as detailed a representation of MMA as they could hope for on a handheld.

There are a number of good and inspired moments, but for each one, you can think of something else that would have been better.

SHIFT is an odd beast. Happy to straddle that middle ground between simulation and arcade, it doesn’t necessarily master either.

It does lose points for omitting variety within its multiplayer setup.

007 Legends is a game aimed squarely at fans, it has nods to the films and aficionados will be able to pick out the locations and characters with ease. It is far from a must own title for everyone, but on the whole it holds up as a solid title that is worth putting some time in to.

Those who enjoyed the original will again lap up everything this has to offer, but the unconverted will remain as such.

A solid on-rails shooter that if great fun for the short time you will spend with it.

It has to be said that Dark Energy Digital deserve a lot of praise for making the changes they did from the original release. Hydrophobia is still an entertaining but flawed title. If you can see beyond the flaws you will have a fun time with a game that doesn't excel but also shouldn't be ignored.

Still, if this sort of no-nonsense adrenaline-fueled racing appeals, you won't find much to match it on the PSP.

Pid isn't going to stand out as an all time classic of the generation, it won't find itself mentioned in the same breath as a Limbo, or a Braid, but what it does, it does generally well. It is a fine game to pick up and play through, but despite its wonderful understated presentation, it isn't one that will stay with you once finished.

Stumbles just shy of greatness.

Funny, challenging and at times addictive.

It makes for a big, if rarely clever package, entertaining if hilarious ultra violence is your bag, tryingly awkward and limited if it isn't.

A game worth hunting down. With the promise of another Alien themed release for the forthcoming Alien vs Predator film you may find the practice essential.

Yet the final product has been injured by this ambition, by having too many options and locations, the quality is spread thin and the lack of restrictions can daze some players.

UFC Undisputed has raised the bar in the cage itself but has really let itself down with a career mode that offers very little.

To follow up one of the greats like Hotline Miami was never going to be easy and this fails to improve on it in every single way. It is still a decent game though, just don’t expect the second coming!

Noby Noby Boy is a title that will really divide gamers. With a little more work and tangible elements this could have been a really fun and unique experience.

Everblue 2 contains a strong sense of adventure, as you explore the unknown, but also fear of what you might exactly find out there.

FIFA 08 represents an enjoyable if limited take on the beautiful game.

Awful single player and online issues that frustrate more than entertain mean that Wrecked: Revenge Revisited should be one that should avoid at all costs. However, should you be in a position where you can do local multiplayer, then there is no reason not to own this game. That alone is enough to sell the game, as simple as that.

When it’s frustrating, it’s frustrating, when it’s good, it’s good, so for the moment it gets a 70.
