A decent attempt at an atmospheric horror, with a slant towards puzzles. It’s refreshing not being able to carry a weapon or worry about herbs and such like, but those expecting who prefer such additions should avoid this release.

Shamefully when Jericho is finished there are no other modes to speak of. This is very disappointing as an online or co-operative mode would have been interesting with the occult backdrop and powers.

Jeremy McGrath's Offroad is far from a bad game, because while you are playing it you will have fun. A quick fifteen minute blast can easily turn into an hour. However once the career mode is done and a few time trials beaten there doesn't feel like any reason to go back again. Which is a shame, as the game does a lot right, it just feels like the developers bolted on a few modes at the last minute to an otherwise fine offroad engine.

Throw in several unimaginative bosses, haphazard animation and you have a release that even the polished presentation or monologue from Bruce Campbell fails to drag back into the realm of respectability.

Overall, Final Exam is a fun game played solo or online or locally with others.

This really has all the aspects that makes a great kids game, it's really fun to play, even the dialogue raises a few laughs without being puerile or patronising, it's a bit of a cliché with the kids genre, but there are even some jokes the parents will laugh at too. The only flaw in the character dialogue is voice match to the character's mouths, it's like a badly dubbed Japanese movie but it's only noticeable if you're a heartless critic.

Overall it is above decidedly average but with some changes it could have been a great game. Worth the money if you have been a player of the franchise or if you are looking to try out something new and fun that has a respectable amount of hours in it.

The Godfather is not a total failure, but when the main impetus to play through its missions is to watch the bonus film material, you have to ask what the point is.

The responsiveness between button-press and what occurs onscreen is likewise dubious.

Aaru’s Awakening is a competent if unspectacular game, that with a little more time in the oven could have been much better as an overall experience.

The game is as ugly as the Neanderthal wrestlers in it. Despite this I’ve still noticed it slows down at times.

It has to be said that Dark Energy Digital deserve a lot of praise for making the changes they did from the original release. Hydrophobia is still an entertaining but flawed title. If you can see beyond the flaws you will have a fun time with a game that doesn't excel but also shouldn't be ignored.

Ultimately The Spiderwick Chronicles achieves what it sets out to accomplish, and that is satisfy fans of the source material.

Those expecting something off the 'top shelf' of classic game experiences need not apply. Unfortunately.

Dogfight 1942 isn't a game that would have been on the radar, but it is a very pleasant surprise. It's not as good as some the the full retail efforts, neither is it your long awaited alternative to Crimson Skies. It is however a fun and entertaining game, that offers up plenty of thrills throughout your time with it. The lack of online options is a hard pill to swallow though and may keep some players away, but despite that, it is one that is well worth picking up.

For those who have never experienced the DW series before, this is the perfect place to start, and either find a challenging, delightfully tactical slice of unpretentious fun or unearth a deformed, unlovable, fossilised relic of a bygone age.

An excellent premise, let down slightly by some out of place game mechanics.

Everblue 2 contains a strong sense of adventure, as you explore the unknown, but also fear of what you might exactly find out there.

Maybe like American Football and Baseball, Whacked is simply going to become another title that many English gamers will simply not get. I know this one didn’t.

Shining Soul is too shallow to appeal to the turn-based RPG crowd and the combat is too tedious to appeal to action RPG fans, or indeed anyone not wanting to inflict a repetitive strain injury upon themselves.

Battle Islands offers a decent balance of difficulty with plenty of assistance for those entering the battlefield for the first time.

TRON: Evolution is a solid romp, whose entertainment is hampered by some niggling control and camera issues.

Where has all the publicised “groundbreaking” technology gone – into the hills for safety? For all the size there is really only one route through each mission, as each goal offers the only save checkpoint; and these (as you soon learn) are too far apart.

John Daly's ProStroke Golf can only be considered a disappointment. The golfing mechanics are no more than acceptable, and the presentation is poor.

htoL#NiQ is a decent game for the Vita that pushes no boundaries but does little wrong either.

End-of-area bosses helpfully announce their weaknesses at the beginning of encounters, coin-laden paths dot their way around levels, and there is always a mammalian helper ready and willing to explain the use of contraptions.

Distinctly average. The concept and structure have potential, but it was largely unrealised in this game.

With that said, Bang Bang Racing feels like a homage to several 16-bit classics, including the hugely popular Micro Machines game. It just shows how, despite all the technological advances that can be exploited by video game developers, sometimes it's the most simple idea that works. However, this game could have been so much more with online gameplay and that really puts the longevity of Bang Bang Racing into perspective.

A competent HD upgrade, nothing more, nothing less.

This game is perfect for that rainy Sunday afternoon where you know you can download this and let your kids while away a few hours without having to worry about them too much.

There are loading times that I wouldn’t have thought exist in this day and age, and the graphics are nothing exceptional. Dialogue is bad, the sound is bad 70’s pastiche but the guy who did the cut-scenes deserves a big fat raise.

So it’s not a great compendium, but does come with a remote, so that’s a bonus (especially for multiplayer games of Wii Sports with your non-Wii owning friends).

There’s a decent combat system hidden beneath a pointless story that only serves as masturbation material for its target audience. It’s utterly shameful, and is to be avoided.

The game camera despite offering several possible views is like a stubborn sheep – refusing to do as its told and turning slowly in confined spaces.

If you have kids, or entertain guests on a regular basis, then Rabbids: Alive & Kicking is well worth picking up, just not one for the single player.

The worst issue, however, is the handling - akin to pushing a shopping trolley with one wheel locked, the cars in Group S are just about as twitchy as they can be.

It's sad to say that, while King of Fighters: Neowave has plenty of good ideas, it can't stop the game from feeling extremely dated.

Special Forces: Team X is an unexpected treat, and on paper, it should have been a lot worse. There are some technical problems, but at the core is a solid game. Whilst it is probably not enough to lure in the hardcore COD or MW fans, it looks like there could be a fan base developing.

Boogie deserves to be a much better game. The excellent presentation hides a restrictive and basic control system that destroys any fun that might have been had while playing it.

When you get down to the bones of The Sims 2: Pets you can see a good game there, it just gets bogged down by literally the worst loading we've seen in a PSP game ever.

It’s all just incredibly dull.

All in all it feels like a very limited sequel, one aimed at removing the more major problems of its predecessor rather than trying to bring anything new to the table.

So all in all, with the impressive Double Dragon Advance being available since 2003, an arcade perfect version of the original was never going to wow today's audience, even with it's HD graphics & online co-op options.

Bomberman Land is a shining light in an otherwise drab wasteland of terrible mini-game collections.
