Since I am not a wrestling fan at all I really couldnt appreciate some of the finer points of this game including video interviews with some of the real wrestlers themselves or setting up the stats of a user-defined wrestler or the in-depth controls.
-
Game InformerMy favorite part is the interviews. Around 20 legends talk about the business. [Feb 2003, p.97]
-
We've got old-school wrestlers with no hint of old-school style.
-
PSM MagazineIt's a better overall package than last year's version, but the quest for a truly old-school wrestling game may never really end. [Feb 2003, p.31]
-
Wrestler models are detailed and life-like when standing still, but prone to slowdown and awkward-looking animation when moving.
-
As the matches drag on, you can't help but to use repetitive moves and you don't have enough control over things to be able to regularly generate positive reactions.
-
The game is as ugly as the Neanderthal wrestlers in it. Despite this Ive still noticed it slows down at times.
