Not even beautiful graphics, new animations and a great soundtrack can hide the fact that Age of Empires isn’t good enough according to modern standards. Remaster brings some nostalgic feelings but only when you get over the technical issues, lags and AI mistakes.

Humor remained, but everything else disappeared somewhere. Compared to Borderlands Battleborn suffers especially in terms of content, when the fast action is hidden under tragic cooperative campaign, matchmaking problems and the poor content. This is not a game without any potential, but this time it really pays off to wait for at least a couple of DLCs.

Classic gameplay in a new style is entertaining, but sometimes it will also make you mad because of its unclear or illogical rules. However, Steel Panthers fans will get excited about its campaigns, and they will gladly forgive the game's minor issues.

The concept itself is original, as is the fact that your operators can be seriously hurt in between your journeys. But it’s just way too repetitive and its storyline is beyond bland. In the end, this is a truly average co-op shooter.

Scars Above wants to do a lot of things at once and takes its inspiration from many successful gems of the past. But it executes all of it just a bit more awkwardly and its own ideas fall flat more often than not. The combat system is pretty solid and the story drags the game from the mire of averageness, but it could’ve been so much better.

Gratuitous Tank Battles is acting like some classic tower defense title. However, after some time there is this "shout boo" and you have to create your own units and you need to unlock the very important weapons through the very same battles as well. After a lapse of time you'll find out the very well-made core of the game, and if you are a toyer you are going to get a lot of fun. Although, if you are looking for some instant tower defense entertainment, you should look elsewhere.

The core gameplay of Colin McRae Rally is more than solid. Its driving is fun and a challenge at the same time. Several technical issues will get you upset at the very end, but the biggest criticism goes to the surprisingly almost no content. Still, the new Colin McRae game deserves my recommendation, which is valid information at least for the rallye-positive gamers.

A classic adventure game with a story full of conspiracy and familiar figures. Its creators honour their own heritage, but they do not risk to stick to it less than firmly. The new Broken Sword is almost identical to the original.

The Devil in Me is a really good, surprisingly well thought out horror game. It offers a tense atmosphere in its beautiful, haunted hotel. Next time, it’d be nice to see better actors and actresses and work on the main characters’ mental side, however. Still, it’s a proper horror to be enjoyed alone or with friends.

Beautiful graphics and satisfactory gameplay. The impression is spoiled by stupid narrative and the low diversity of tasks together with limited tactical possibilities and stupid AI. That’s why the single-player experience gradually ends in stereotype and boredom. Cooperative mode is a completely different story – it offers another level of fun. If you would like to play Wildlands, it should be because of the experience with human co-players.

The game almost exactly the same as the four-years-old first part with all its advantages and disadvantages. The entertaining cooperative mode is again the best part of the game.

A pleasant return to the roots of open-world adventures, which is as captivating as it is frustrating. Outcast: A New Beginning can be beautiful, but with clumsy animations. It adeptly weaves tasks together while filling its map with repetitive hostile camps. However, the important thing is that through its good action and brisk movement across the picturesque planet, you'll completely forget about its simplistic storyline and other flaws.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance retains all of its charm on the modest handheld device. Despite graphical compromises, the game still looks nice, and occasional pop-ins and reduced texture quality are not overly distracting. The frame rate fluctuates between 30 and 20 FPS depending on the complexity of the scene, but the majority of the game runs at 30 FPS. However, occasional longer loading times can be somewhat bothersome and seem random.

Although aerial sibling of Kerbal Space Program offers fantastic possibilities in design, its test phase remains far behind the competition. Many things can be solved by modifications, but for now SimplePlanes stands below the genre standard.

A visually beautiful sci-fi experience which, surprisingly, doesn’t resort to simply cloning Dead Space. The difficulty and the fear factor both don’t reach the heights I’d expect, however. A shame! It could have been extraordinary.

Just as the first game Mirror's Edge Catalyst failed to fulfill the potential of the concept and the game world. All improvements are indeed nice, but not essential and the great feeling of running and style is spoiled by frustrating combat and technical flaws.

Risen 2 is a good game. However, it would deserve more than just minor innovation inside antiquated gameplay. If you didn't expect anything out of Risen 2, you will be pleasantly surprised. The problem is you've been expecting.

Metamorphosis is a true homage to the works of Franz Kafka… but at the same time, it’s not a very good game. Try it out if you adore Kafka already, but everybody else should grab one of his books instead.

Millennia ventures into new territory within the stale genre of turn-based strategies, and often, it pays off. The rotation of diverse eras, fundamentally refreshing gameplay, is excellent. Similarly, the enjoyable micromanagement of regions and incremental improvements to your civilization are engaging. It hooks you in with the familiar motto: "Just one more turn," and doesn't let go. However, aggressive artificial intelligence, unattractive graphics, and technical issues in later stages of the game, especially in multiplayer, are disappointing. Otherwise, it's an entertaining departure from traditional Civilization-style games.

Of Orcs and Men looks like a promising and fair game, but only for a couple of minutes and thanks to the effort that's been put into the perfect stylization. Afterwards, there's just boring gameplay you will try to endure because of the storyline pieces. The truly important game elements have been killed to no avail by an attempt for innovation that is a failure.

Star Hammer has all the good components of a comprehensive and entertaining strategy, but its design is totally unsuitable for the overwhelming majority of missions, that appear later in the game. Hand in hand with bugs the originally entertaining small fleet commanding turns to unplayable piece.

It’s not easy to survive in a medieval town under siege. Sometimes you’ll have to eat a rat, sometimes you won’t have anything to drink - and it all works surprisingly well in this new survival strategy game.

The fact, the Assassin's Creed Identity is an outstanding achievement for mobile phones, doesn´t make it an exceptional game itself. On the contrary, in the context of the series it is the weakest part. Buy it only when you've finished playing / reading / watching / eating everything that is connected to Assassin's Creed franchise, and still don’t have enough.

A moody return to a world shaped by childhood nightmares. Although the pacing occasionally dips due to less imaginative puzzles and some repetitive design choices, the experience still delivers an unsettling, wordless kind of storytelling that gets under the skin. It offers exactly what long-time fans of the series expect: another dark fable unafraid to be uncomfortable, both in themes and the way it plays.

A nice melting pot of Dynasty Warriors and Fire Emblem. Mindless clash is fun and enriched with extraordinary strategic elements. But you have to get ready to accept the stupid story, the stereotype, and at the weaker technical performance of the 3DS version.

Valhalla Hills is good, but too shallow successor to Settlers. Caring for the Viking nation will entertain you for a moment (at least visually), but otherwise the game lacks content to utilize all the game mechanics properly.

Larger, funnier and much better sequel of an already great survival game. Only basics remained the same and humor too and it works as an excellent bonus. A textbook example of what a good sequel should look like.
