You can mix disparate features and still get a great game, but this is not what happened with Tribes of Midgard. Even though it’s muddled, it could still be a great survival game if it didn’t waste so much of your time.- Games.cz

A pleasant return to the roots of open-world adventures, which is as captivating as it is frustrating. Outcast: A New Beginning can be beautiful, but with clumsy animations. It adeptly weaves tasks together while filling its map with repetitive hostile camps. However, the important thing is that through its good action and brisk movement across the picturesque planet, you'll completely forget about its simplistic storyline and other flaws.- Games.cz

An evocative portrayal of the horrors of the First World War, Ad Infinitum manages to intriguingly delve into novel themes of post-traumatic stress disorder, psychosis, and family trauma, despite its monotonous gameplay, which often feels like a repetition of narrative horror films that have come before it.- Games.cz

A rapid action game in heavy metal rhythm which will make you remember all those legendary platformers from the 90s. It’s frantic, easy to understand - but its difficulty can be, at times, terrifying.- Games.cz

This is a truly emotional adventure game, narrated in a playful, original fashion. Its actual gameplay, however, isn’t as interesting as it could have been. Still, it’s beautiful, it’s well acted and the soundtrack is phenomenal.- Games.cz

It doesn't matter if you see Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes as a tech demo or a regular game, it’s still a demonstration of Phantom Pain possibilities. Ground Zeroes is in many ways a great game, but as a whole it is incoherent one. And if it's not your habit to return to a game over and over again, this one may be quite short for you.- Games.cz

Orcs Must Die! 2 is as addicting and fun as the original, and furthermore it adds a great co-op gameplay. However, the absence of new levels, no in-game editor, and too close a resemblance with the original title make Orcs Must Die! 2 look more like an expansion pack than a fulfilling sequel.- Games.cz

A hardcore RPG not forgiving mistakes is quite a good thing. But it's not suited for everyone even though you are a fan of the genre. Still, among the indie RPG projects it's a well-executed piece of work.- Games.cz

A fun and highly accessible tennis arcade game that works best as a chaotic party experience. Its well-balanced mix of classic tennis and over-the-top abilities creates exciting matches full of tense moments. However, a weaker single-player mode and lack of long-term motivation mean the fun quickly fades without other players.- Games.cz

The only thing that’s changed in those 18 years is the resolution. Nevertheless, Onimusha: Warlords still offers very solid gameplay in fantasy medieval Japan. The obsolete game design and camera controls are a bother, but what would you expect from the year 2001?- Games.cz

One of the few modern attempts at motocross in video games has been successful. Even though MXGP is like CatDog of a racing simulation game, and its technical level is laughable, right in the action it's the most entertaining game by Milestone. And that is surely worth your attention.- Games.cz

Do not trust anyone nor yourself! With such philosophy, you will fight in the survival action from the Arctic, where snow and frost are not surprisingly the biggest problem. Distrust plays nicely with human psyche, offers the movie mood in a generated environment. Surprisingly however, you yawn sometimes.- Games.cz

A bow to classic platformers, especially from Eric Chahi excels with excellent atmosphere, great visual style and ruthless difficulty. While the last one you can expect in similar games, in this game it’s too much – because of the problems with controls and unnecessary backtracking. However, if you are patient enough, The Way, despite for its issues, can entertain you pretty well.- Games.cz

A deeply complex space strategy game in which you must build your own colony on an inhospitable planet and manage even the tiniest details. All the endings and scenarios will take you a while to discover. The weaker points are its combat system and stupid colonists.- Games.cz

An improvement over its predecessor in nearly every way. Still a colorful, vulgar, and talkative sci-fi hallucination, but now built around a genuinely strong shooter with good pacing, ideas, and fun movement enhanced by a skateboard. Despite overly long dialogue sequences and humor that may not appeal to everyone, it remains an entertaining experience throughout its roughly fourteen-hour runtime.- Games.cz

After eight years, the legendary Codemasters has taken charge of the WRC brand. Unfortunately, their debut isn't as assured as one would expect from the creators of Dirt Rally. EA Sports WRC boasts a superb driving model and an enjoyable career, but there's much to criticize on the visual and technical fronts. The new systems seem more like a teaser and lack the necessary depth. Despite this, the driving experience is enjoyable, and it's certainly not something Codemasters should be ashamed of, although they are capable of much more.- Games.cz

Although set fifteen years after Liberation, it feels almost identical in gameplay. Fans of the first entry in the rebooted series will enjoy this one as well. Combat can become somewhat repetitive over time, though it remains engaging. The story is decent but not exceptional. While it does nothing particularly wrong, it also does little to stand out, but for those seeking a dark fantasy RPG with tactical combat, it might be worth the time investment.- Games.cz

Pinstripe is a wise and catchy platformer. To be perfect, however, it lacks richer content, which is trying to compensate with an interesting idea and magical visuals. Lovers of arcades with storyline will be certainly pleased.- Games.cz

Dune: Awakening feels like traversing sand dunes: sometimes you’re gliding down with a smile, other times you're grinding your way up a punishing slope. Excellent content pacing meets an increasingly demanding grind. Many of the game’s systems – from sandworms and personal shields to stillsuits, vehicles, and the harsh environment – will delight hardcore Dune fans, but concessions made for the online format chip away at the carefully built immersion. The world can be breathtaking, though its finer details often fall short. The opening hours are bafflingly weak, while what follows becomes dangerously addictive. The latest Dune game is, at its core, a story of contradictions.- Games.cz

Starbound is not as polished and debugged as other games, and sometimes it may seem repetitive. But compared to more "modern" sci-fi games its explorative, almost melancholic spirit and emphasis on building catches your heart. Spare a few hundred hours of your time, the ultimate boundary once again calls for the survey.- Games.cz

Peak is a fun climbing arcade game that you can enjoy solo or with friends. Its gameplay loop isn’t meant to frustrate, just entertain – and it succeeds. The climbing itself, with its animations and sound design, is genuinely satisfying. However, the climbing gear could use a bit more attention, and overall, this is more of a casual, one-evening treat than a multiplayer staple you'll keep coming back to for months.- Games.cz

The game, if nothing else, forces you to take another look at Star Wars. But in Star Wars Battlefront the form dominates over the content. Visually fantastic, technically flawless, with perfect atmosphere, yes, but continually receding euphoria reveals a simple and relatively poor shooter game.- Games.cz

A solid tribute to a classic, Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition mainly shines through improved visuals and audio. The new campaigns and scenarios are a welcome bonus, adding a massive amount of content. It’s a shame, though, that some quality-of-life improvements expected in modern strategy games are missing. Still, if you loved the original Stronghold, this nostalgic return is a well-executed one.- Games.cz
