No Straight Roads is a charming celebration of music with a polished flair for exposition that kept me thoroughly impressed. While the third-person combat is palling, other elements such as co-op and well-crafted boss stages just about make up for that. And while it only lasts for six hours, this action-adventure burns out and does not fade away; it rocks.

What blew us all away back then doesn't quite live up to today's standards, unfortunately, and the younger set will probably question why anyone would make such a big fuss over such a middle-of-the-road experience.

GripShift is best left to hardcore puzzle game fans with a healthy patient streak.

The game gives you literally hundreds of puzzles, so as long as you enjoy the puzzles you certainly get your money's worth here. If you like your puzzle games to be cerebral rather than reflex-based, it's worth checking out.

The game does a good job of channeling the classics in the genre from a presentation point of view, but it misses out on the factors that made those games so much fun and turned them into timeless classics.

On the one hand, you essentially get three times as many puzzles as the game has levels. On the other, you’ll be spending a chunk of time with each level, which really breaks-up the narrative flow of the story. I think it might have been better to limit the puzzles to single goals, perhaps with some optional bonuses, and keep the game flowing. As things are, though, you’ll need to ask yourself if you’ll enjoy spending the extra time with each level. If you’re intrigued by the idea of cracking each puzzle three times with different goals, you’ll probably enjoy Howl. However, if the thought of spending so much time with each level sounds like a grind to you, or you’d prefer to have the freedom to experiment with different tactics, you’ll probably find the game to be frustrating. As such I can’t recommend the game to everyone, just those in the former group.

Playing Lollipop Chainsaw is exactly like eating a lollipop - once you're finished with such a luscious treat, all the excitement is gone but definitely remembered.

Overall, I'd say that the Bourne Conspiracy is a solid title with a few warts, some of which can be overlooked and ignored.

It won’t make history in the annals of strategy gaming, but Making History is a decent enough diversion for those with an interest in World War II strategy on a global scale.

Scorn reminds me a lot of what Agony was trying to go for when it released – a fresh new experience through a nightmarish setting. With Scorn though, it arrived very playable with only a few issues, unlike the tragedy that we experienced with Agony. Horror fans should definitely give Scorn a try. Scorn is an experience like no other horror game and every horror fan needs to support this great effort.

Overall, this expansion is enjoyable enough to recommend. You get more mountains to play on in the game and the events themselves are fun additions to the game. I wish more effort was put into making the whole experience more Olympic, though. The Road to the Olympics feels a little too much road and not enough Olympics in that regard.

When you get down to it, Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session is a two-button rhythm game with an obscure soundtrack. It certainly has a lot of personality, but there's just not enough to the game to hold your interest once the novelty wears off. Perhaps it would be different if you had the opportunity to play it with a drum controller, but we're not being given the opportunity to find that out for ourselves.

The updated version of Destroy All Humans certainly looks a lot better than the original did on two-generation old hardware, but it really needed the gameplay to be updated as well. Artificial challenge created by horde-tactic mobs of enemies, a clunky skills and weapons system, repetitive gameplay, and claustrophobic open world levels all work against the graphics to really show the game's age. The game's premise still holds up today, so it's a shame that the gameplay was left stuck in the past.

I had fun with the multiplayer game. The maps are well-designed, the action is good, the drones are great, and the game's dedicated servers make for a lag-free experience. It's a completely different scenario from the frustrating, buggy, and short single player campaign. So your buy decision will come down to how much you time you plan on putting into the multiplayer game. If multiplayer isn't your thing, you'll probably want to pass on the game.

Overall, Callisto is a really good survival horror experience. If you like Dead Space, you need to try this game. The main campaign has a lot of passion put into it and I had a bunch of fun with it. The game definitely has some problems here and there, but I think true horror fans will admire it for its fantastic campaign. I really feel that this series will have just as interesting of a world as Dead Space if the series continues beyond this first installment. The story is overall good and the ending begs for DLC or a sequel. Be sure to try this game if you’re in the mood for a cinematic horror experience with a lot of intensity.
