Well worth a rental to get out all your pent up hostilities.

A lot of different pieces that don't work well on their own, let alone together.

It's not perfect, but it certainly is a unique experience that stands out from the crowd.

There isn't anything here that I don't remember seeing several years ago. The background could have come from any of a hundred different games and the character are pretty blurry.

Overall, Dice Legacy is enjoyable as long as you enjoy a challenge. It has an unusual mix of gameplay that sets it apart from other games of this type. While the dice and some of your decisions add a random element to the game, it feels like Dice Legacy does have an idea of how it wants you to play the game. You don’t necessarily have the freedom to try a variety of strategies, if you want to succeed, that is. Perhaps that’s what makes it more of a survival game and less of a strategy game.

Armageddon is not quite as much fun as Guerilla, but its arsenal, particularly the magnet gun, and destructible environments make it an enjoyable game on its own.

If you look at the overall value of this package, it doesn't take long to see that Fatshark has stepped up with a winner. The developers set out to appeal to an array of genres and I think they'll eventually get a decent following because of it.

These tales are not traditional Company of Heroes stories, but they can make for some fun stories while they last.

Scurge: Hive can be a little frustrating at times, but the overall experience is enjoyable. If you’re in need of some more Metroid style action on your DS, then Scurge: Hive is a good choice to scratch that itch.

The Outfit’s single player mode needs to be sent back to basic training, but the multiplayer game deserves a tour of duty.

Mayhem Brawler is a decent beat’em up, but everything it does, Streets or Rage 4 does better. It’s a decent alternative to SoR4, if you’re bored with that game, but it just doesn’t have the replay value or the fluid controls that you’ll find in SoR4. It could be an interesting try for beat’em up fans, but I highly suggest that you try it before you buy it. From the trailers, the game looks fantastic, but once I started to play it, the control flaw was obvious as I continued to play. Even though bosses, can be frustrating, they can be overcome with patience, but some of them can surely get very cheap no matter what exploits you find.

TimeShift has its moments, but you'll wish that you could rewind time and re-release the game with more imaginative level design and smarter AI.

The game actually has a quality feel to it, especially in terms of voice acting, soundtrack and the overall graphics, and I can see a lot of potential in the game, but the gameplay really needs more variety in mission structure and combat.

The game really shines in multiplayer mode and is a great game to play with friends if you’re tired of the lame mini-games found in most party games.

Better multiplayer support along with the ability to create quick matches by including AI opponents would have gone a long way to extending the replay value of the title and the game’s overall enjoyment.

Constantly losing the ball in cascading explosions of color and then having almost no time to react when the ball drops out of the fog of sparks can lead to a lot of aggravation, and this may in turn lead some gamers to start punching the real bricks in their walls.

So overall you have a LEGO game that for the most part sticks to the formula, feels like it is really stretching its source material to fit the mold, and introduces a new gimmick that's fun, but not as much fun as it could have been.
