SingStar Rocks can be fun for the casual karaoke fan, but the limited and unfocused track list and the game’s inability to remove the songs’ original vocal tracks limit its long-term play value.

If you go in expecting the game to be revolutionary you can’t help but be disappointed. However if you’re just looking for an enjoyable and solid game of football, you’ll be happy with the game.

The units in the game are very detailed and unlike a lot of strategy games they look really good when the camera is zoomed in all of the way. Furthermore the game provides an excellent unit editor that really lets you customize the look of your armies.

With many modes of play and a variety of many other options, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 defends its title as the most popular wrestling series on consoles very well.

A fine golf game but there's little “next-gen” going on here.

It can be fun for a while, but a lot of that fun comes from its novelty factor ... and novelty factors don’t really last.

NFL Street 3 is great for quick-playing, over-the-top football action on the go.

EA Replay is strictly for the nostalgic.

Eragon continues the age old tradition of mediocrity in movie-licensed games.

Sometimes it takes a true fan of the subject matter to appreciate a mediocre game. This is not one of those times.

Eragon will appeal more to those with dreams of dragon riding than those simply looking for a good action game.

Speaking of flying on Saphira, that wasn't nearly as much fun as I thought it would have been and never gave me the idea or feeling of power that must go along with being on such a beast. I really would have liked to see more down with the flying and for better control while flying.

The world of Gothic 3 is filled with bugs you can not slay.

The quarter crunching classic that has basically remained the same throughout the years finally changes just a Wii bit, but still not enough to draw in any new fans.

There isn't anything here that I don't remember seeing several years ago. The background could have come from any of a hundred different games and the character are pretty blurry.

Eragon for the Xbox is a good example of why reading can be better than gaming. Buy the book instead.

Ace in Action is not one of the best looking games out there and its gameplay is a bit on the derivative side, but overall it is a surprisingly enjoyable game.

Every Extend Extra is a bit too difficult and fast-paced to appeal to everyone. However, it is quirky and enjoyable enough to attract a legion of diehard fans. If you’re looking for a little more twitch and pressure in your puzzle games, then be sure to check it out.

Great multiplayer gaming will have you hearing the “call” again.

If you’re a casual fan of the series or are interested in giving it a try for the first time, I think that you’ll find Project 8 as enjoyable as I did.

Combined Assault continues the SOCOM tradition with the added bonus of a campaign that can be integrated with that of U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 2 for the PSP.

If for some reason you didn’t like the original Guitar Hero, then there’s probably nothing new here that will change your mind about the game. For everyone else, new songs, new animations, and the new practice and co-op modes make Guitar Hero II a no-brainer.

It may not satisfy the hardcore fighting fan or impress those who aren’t fans of DBZ, but anyone who enjoys the Dragon Ball series will find it thoroughly enjoyable.

Probably the top puzzle game available for the PSP.

The game’s battles muck up what otherwise would be an enjoyable and lighthearted economic and trading sim.

Scurge: Hive can be a little frustrating at times, but the overall experience is enjoyable. If you’re in need of some more Metroid style action on your DS, then Scurge: Hive is a good choice to scratch that itch.

FIFA 07 is an evolutionary step in the transition to next-gen gaming. Those looking for a revolutionary leap will have to wait at least another year.

Infrastructure play even supports leader boards so that you can see just how well you stack up against the world.

With more action and more engaging levels and storyline, Dark Messiah may have been a great game. As it stands though, it feels like a demo in search of a full game or a game brought to market a year before its time.

A super-powered blast of a game.

A decent racer but it doesn’t feel like as much of a skateboard game as do previous Tony Hawk games.

Extraction Point is good because F.E.A.R. was so good. If you want to extend the experience for a bit it certainly does that, although with less of an impact then the original. You’ll probably find that you expected more out of a F.E.A.R. expansion, though.

A good game for the casual gamer and a great game for the comic lover.

The game is designed to be the opening episode in a collection of related games, but its story is still self-contained and there’s no cliffhanger designed to compel you to buy the next episode in the series.

The most unique Sam Fisher adventure since the original Splinter Cell game.

An incremental step forward for the series, but the new Titan mode is sure to appeal to many of the series' veterans.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 is like a drive that lands on the edge of the fairway. It’s a good shot and you’ll certainly take it, but there’s still a little room for improvement.

Zoo Tycoon 2 is still pretty easy to play and while it may not provide a lot of challenge to sim and tycoon game experts, it remains very accessible to kids who are more than likely the game’s core audience.

Destroy All Humans 2 is a crazy trip, but is not as far out as it could be.

For a game with so much detail, it is surprising that there is not more in the way of detailed summary screens available.

Despite its control issues and occasional frustrations Gun Showdown is an enjoyable game. It does a good job of creating a classic western lone gunman story and packing it with exciting missions with plenty of action.

Older gamers will find the gameplay simply too repetitive and simplistic. A new beginning for Spyro was a good idea, but this game is more of a false start.

There’s not a better golf game available on the PS2 and it comes recommended to anyone but the most ardent of golf-haters.

The best there is in portable golf.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 is an under par performer, which is actually a good thing!

A Scarface fan’s dream come true.

The World is Yours captures the character and spirit of the gritty crime epic.

The game does a just fine job of porting the original, but unless you already love the game you’re not going to be enamored with its rudimentary play and graphics.

Gangs of London features a lot of gameplay, it’s just that not very much of it is all that enjoyable.

Rainbow Islands Revolutions is too simple and too short to be called either revolutionary or a classic.

Mercury Meltdown is the action gamer’s puzzle game.

Those on the ends of the spectrum who are looking for a hardcore sim or a simple high-scoring soccer game may be disappointed, but everyone else in between will have a good time with the game.

It plays just like the classic plastic toy, except that you'll get bored with it even faster.

Uno / Skip-Bo makes for some nice gaming on the go with these two family favorites.

I'll give the Stewie segments a 70, the Peter segments a 60, and the Brian stealth missions a 50. Averaged out the game would get a generous 60, but I'll give it a one point demerit for the lameness of the mini-games.

Horrendous AI and frustrating gameplay kills all the fun, and that’s no bull.

Unless you’re a huge dinosaur fan or feel like there just aren’t enough strategy games out there you can probably pass on Paraworld without missing all that much.

Caesar IV is at its heart an enjoyable game, but you’ll need to be willing to put up with a fair amount of frustration.

NBA 07 is best for those looking for a more simple and arcade like basketball game or for those who are looking for a bit more from their sports games than just playing franchise mode all of the time.

In spite of its issues The Godfather: Mob Wars can be an enjoyable game although it would certainly benefit from better integration between the story and mob war modes.

A lot of action gamers will appreciate this added challenge, but if you are an action game newbie or get easily frustrated you may find yourself walking away from the game.

World War II finally gets the epic strategy game it deserves.

It's all pretty repetitive and unexciting, and there's not really any motivation to keep running the same boring races over and over again on the same tracks. There are far better racers out there, even on the lowly GBA.

Faces of War has its moments ... some good ones and plenty of frustrating ones.

NHL 07 delivers some great on ice action.

A bad day for L.A., an even worse day for gamers.

NASCAR 07 is a game built almost exclusively for the hardcore NASCAR racing fan.

If you like your arcade racing to be intense or prefer more concrete goals in a game beyond simply accumulating cars, you’d be better off renting Test Drive Unlimited. You’ll have enough time to marvel at what it’s accomplished, but not enough to grow bored with it.

It’s more of the same thing. If you just can’t get enough of Perimeter, then here’s some more of it to feed your hunger. If you’re looking for an update to the gameplay, units, or features, you should wait to see if a Perimeter 2 is released sometime down the road.

I also found it strange that wherever Atsuma went there was always a cloud of dust at his feet. Not sure why this bothered me, but it did.

Ultimately frustrating to all but the most devout fans of Ghosts n’ Goblins games past.

Nothing like a drive-by shooting with a little Mozart cranking out of the subwoofers!

Dragon’s Lair HD is not likely to appeal to anyone who is not already a lifelong aficionado of the game.

Madden NFL 07 delivers a good, enjoyable game of football and if you can look past the current-gen graphics you’ll find that it can be more fun than the sexier Xbox 360 version.

A big improvement over the 06 version, but next-gen Madden still has a little way to go.

Ninety-Nine Nights looks fantastic, but it’s not much more than a pretty face.

Xyanide will have trouble holding your interest and you may have trouble holding your lunch.

With many other much better racers available World Racing 2 should stay in the garage.

It is innovative (well, as a game not based on "Dawn of the Dead") and well-produced, and a zombie killing good time.

Dungeon Siege II fans will enjoy the chance to extend their time in the game’s world.

FlatOut 2 is a big improvement over the original game, but it's not quite ready for primetime yet.

Civilization IV Warlords will please all but the most pacifistic of Civilization players.

CivCity: Rome fails to capture the glory of Rome or of the Civilization series of games.

Cloning Clyde is a great game for those times when you’re looking to squeeze a small gaming session into your schedule. In fact, most of Cloning Clyde’s levels can be completed in under five minutes.

Buy it if you have even the slightest interest in football.

Kirk Herbstreit and Lee Corso return to provide the play-by-play and color commentary for the game. They do an excellent and enthusiastic job and it really adds a lot to the game.

Monster House looks good and sounds good, and combined with THQ's attention to the film, the game has atmosphere in spades. That's the real selling point of the title.

Prey is without question my favorite Native American versus alien invader game ever.

A unique storyline and bland, generic gameplay still make for a bland, generic game.

Overall Titan Quest is definitely recommendable to those looking for the simple pleasure of slaying thousands of monsters with their mouse. In depth and complex it is not, but it still can be fun and addicting in its own right.
