All of the aspects of a great game were there: Good graphics, good sound, great AI, and compelling story. However, the fact is that the gameplay really wasn’t fun at all.- Gamer's Hell

There's a fairly limited amount of strategy involved too, because a bigger katamari can't always access smaller areas, but most of the time you're just happily rolling your ball along without ever feeling bored, not even for a second.- Gamer's Hell

The controls are smooth and well implemented, with nearly every button on the controller used. Unfortunately, the default control scheme is the only option but considerable thought went into it and it shouldn’t offer most gamers any trouble.- Gamer's Hell

One of the few shining edges Shadow Ops has is in the audio department. Taking full advantage of the now widely used THX sound scheme, the game convincingly places you in an aural war zone.- Gamer's Hell

For the price and the quality of the game, Hearts Of Iron Platinum is the best WWII strategy simulation on the market currently.- Gamer's Hell

But once you take it online and play team versus team the fun factor really kicks in. AT-ATs shaking the ground, Ties and X-Wings battling it out in the air and the sounds of explosions and blaster fire all around you, any real Star Wars fans doesn't stand a chance at putting this game down.- Gamer's Hell

While there will always be that nagging suspicion that more could have been done with the story (seriously, only 11 missions??), there are so many fun little things to explore that it really should be considered a success.- Gamer's Hell

Ultimately, although Gungrave: Overdose doesn’t look or sound fantastic, and it doesn’t feature the most spectacular gameplay, fans of Gungrave and/or button mashers will certainly enjoy this title.- Gamer's Hell

The AI is virtually non-existent. Playing through a level twice will make this horribly obvious. Your teammates will still think a trap is set even if you had run ahead and disarmed it.- Gamer's Hell

The star of the game is your own craft, the Vic Viper, which comes in four flavors. Each offers a similar set of basic upgrades – missiles, lasers, forcefield – each of the four types has slight differences in these upgrades.- Gamer's Hell

The single player is tight and well done overall, the multiplayer adds tremendous life to the game with vehicles and some extremely well designed maps.- Gamer's Hell

Playing through the game a second time as the polar opposite of your first character can be fun, just to see how the in-game people react, but personally I didn't feel too motivated to do it, considering how the story had already unfolded in its entirety.- Gamer's Hell

It isn’t the worst game ever made, but that just means that it fails to achieve distinction even by its badness.- Gamer's Hell

The beauty of Port Royal is that it is more than just an economic sim, it adds piracy and town building and various other things that give the game a surprising amount of depth.- Gamer's Hell

Single-player alone is so magnetic you'll be constantly drawn back. However, all the rewards, plus the technical feat of 2-8 player online really opens it up for endless replay value.- Gamer's Hell

What happened to the days of a bullet or 2 and you die? I laid down enough heavy fire on one enemy unit to kill hundreds of terrorists in Rainbow Six yet the poor bastard simply ran away to reload to recommence firing on me!- Gamer's Hell

A very well made game with great graphics, great customizations, great extras, and good sounds. The only reasons I can see someone not wanting to buy SRS is if A). You hate to see good-looking women dance in front of you, or B). You dislike songs about prison sex and god.- Gamer's Hell

Overall, the expansion boasts great new content, cool weapons, fresh looking monsters, the massive cities and insane perks. However, all the old content is getting a bit aged, especially the graphics, and it still boils down to killing hecklers for your main way to gain experience.- Gamer's Hell

The learning part becomes a strain after finding that barely missed evidence or clues is the main trademark method Lights Out utilizes in order to create a challenge, instead of good, old-fashioned logic. I’m not above a little hunting, but the margin of error is excessive, and that knocks the points down on gameplay.- Gamer's Hell

The single player experience is enjoyable, but not mind blowing. The real gem here is the online play which seems to offer something more complex then most console FPS's and definitely something I would recommend.- Gamer's Hell

Much of the immersion in Doom 3 is due to the incredible engine, and the amazing artwork... An excellent game, but it’s a bit of a shame that you can finish it in two days, after waiting for four years.- Gamer's Hell

There are some people who truly do love Galleon, but most of those have gone beyond the not that spectacular graphics and invested a few hours into it. The gameplay can at times be quite dynamic and enjoyable, but there are also times when it feels like a generic 3d platform game.- Gamer's Hell

I think that it should have at least been a co-op game. Controlling four characters at once in a real time combat situation is just nuts. I could compare it to Might and Magic without the turn based system. It's manageable, however, I would have preferred to share the burden with someone else.- Gamer's Hell
