The second episode of the Cognition series is a big improvement of the first episode, with a more purposeful direction and less backtracking between locations. Erica's psychic powers also take on a more central part of overall gameplay, but could be given an even greater focus. Writing is also improved, with the developers clearly having a good grasp of what makes a psychological thriller such as this work well. Sadly, there's just too little of it to earn it a higher grade.- Gamer.no

Antichamber teaches you to expect the unexpected, and while some of its later tasks may prove ridiculously difficult, the initial half of the game never seizes to amaze, nor surprise. It may fool you into thinking you have some kind of clue about what’s going on or how to break the mold, but trust me, you don’t.- Gamer.no

Dead Space 3 is focused more on the action than the scary part, but still a step in the right direction for the series. Isaac is on a mission, and many diverse areas make it an entertaining, varied story with plenty of exciting moments.- Gamer.no

While The Cave doesn't succeed as a pure platformer, it certainly makes up for that with charm and humor The character specific areas are great and somewhat manages to undermine the fact that the main tasks have to be repeated three times for you to see everything the game has to offer.- Gamer.no

Hydroventure: Spin Cycle is a fresh puzzle game, whose many uses of water never ceases to entertain, despite some bad turns from time to time. The game has a steady progression and clever puzzles which keep your mind constantly occupied, while not being overly complex, thus making for an overall rewarding experience.- Gamer.no

With an engaging and touching story, beautiful graphics and a cast of charming characters, this is one of the best game experiences this year. You'll be whisked away to a wonderful world that's hard to tear yourself away from.- Gamer.no

escapeVektor is one of those fun little games that most people will overlook. It's a fast-paced puzzle game with loads of challenging action and quick thinking, clever level design and good atmosphere. It's a must for those who need something small on their portable gaming device.- Gamer.no

Guardians of Middle-earth is the first game to bring the immensely popular MOBA -genre to consoles. Thankfully it does it well. Small, but clever changes makes controlling heroes easy, and the fights are both engaging and fun.- Gamer.no

The new innovative controls using the GamePad's touchscreen are more tortuous than convenient. And behind lies the gameplay and mechanics of FIFA 12. The lack of functions and online modes that has been in the competing consoles' versions for years makes this a no-go.- Gamer.no

This is a unique and atmospheric experience. I highly recommend it, but be aware that you need to give it your full attention to get the most out of the game.- Gamer.no

While the overall setting and characters are both delightfully stupid and unironically bizarre, there's little else in the game's narrative that's much to write home about. The story itself is rather bland and melodramatic, and the single player campaign is frought with repetitive missions and fights. The multiplayer doesn't fare better, with interchangeable characters and game modes that leave something to be desired.- Gamer.no

Fractured Soul is a cleverly constructed game that really makes the most of it's humble format. The challenges can be excruciatingly difficult, but overcoming them leaves you with a genuine sense of accomplishment.- Gamer.no

Paper Mario: Sticker Star's pop-up book, papercraft visuals retain the series' classic charm and allows the developers to play around with the construction and development of their game world. While using stickers in combat and puzzle solving is a neat idea, players will usually end up hoarding their stickers for fear of needing them later on. This makes overall gameplay feel a bit slow and uninspired, but Sticker Star is a fun game to play regardless.- Gamer.no

If you enjoyed Batman: Arkham City in 2011, there's really no great incentive to don the superhero costume again. The Wii U version is still a good way to experience and explore Arkham City if you've yet to play the game, though.- Gamer.no

The Director's Cut of Trine 2 is not a flawed version of a good game by any means. It's just the simple fact that Trine 2 wasn't all that good to begin with. Sure, the game looks fantastic, and it's general platforming sections handle great with the trio of protagonists, but the game's remaining two thirds are majorly flawed. The combat is bland, and the riddles are disastrously bad.- Gamer.no

As a Wii U launch title, Black Ops II strives to innovate upon the well-known Call of Duty-formula, and to some extent it also manages to do so. While it still is very much the same game previously released on Sony's and Microsoft's consoles, it is the ability to play the game single-handed through the game pad that should be Nintendo's selling point.- Gamer.no

It's more of an expansion than a proper sequel, and the puzzles are not as logical and enjoyable as the ones in the original game. But it still offers a genuinely funny and pleasant overall experience.- Gamer.no

Dragonborn's most impressive achievement is the new and exciting island that offers plenty of new opportunities for adventure and stories to tell. Bethesda clearly focused on their strengths, and the result is their best Skyrim DLC so far.- Gamer.no

The developers deserve praise for creating a different kind of movie game, and the kids can have fun with it for a short while. Sadly it still quickly becomes incredibly boring from the lack of any challenge what so ever.- Gamer.no

In his second attempt at conquering the gokart genre, Sonic somewhat manages to capture the essence of greatness. The characters and stages picked from Sega's vast library are nice, and the driving (on solid ground) feels great as well. It's only a shame that neither the flying or boating are particularly smooth, and that playing solo wears out once you've seen each level once.- Gamer.no

This special edition comes with all the free multiplayer DLC, as well as the extended cut of the ending and bonus mission From Ashes. It's a pretty good package overall, and the Genesis motion comic fills in the story of the two preceding games. The inhumanly long loading screens of the Wii U version do put a damper on the experience, and Genesis skips plenty of important decisions from previous games that makes the story feel a little incomplete. But for newbies to the Mass Effect universe this is a damned good purchase.- Gamer.no

Overhaul Games has succeeded in making one of the big RPG classics available on modern machines. The infinity engine looks great in HD and all the esthetics are well preserved. The new stuff is okay, but most importantly Baldur's Gate can now be fully enjoyed again, as it deserves.- Gamer.no

Ben 10: Omniverse is first and foremost a disappointing game, with a developer apparently afraid to take any gameplay or story risks with one of Cartoon Network's most popular franchises. The fun and colourful visual design does little to make up for the uninspired, brawler based gameplay and wholly uninteresting story.- Gamer.no

The premise of Little Inferno may sound a tad odd: You buy stuff, and then you burn it. Over and over again. But in fact, this is a game unlike any other this reviewer has ever played, and in a good way. Granted, it is a small game, but it is original, self-aware, self-ironic and self-referencing bordering on the postmodern. It even creates a brand new genre for itself, namely the burn 'em up.- Gamer.no
