If you enjoyed Batman: Arkham City in 2011, there's really no great incentive to don the superhero costume again. The Wii U version is still a good way to experience and explore Arkham City if you've yet to play the game, though.

The Director's Cut of Trine 2 is not a flawed version of a good game by any means. It's just the simple fact that Trine 2 wasn't all that good to begin with. Sure, the game looks fantastic, and it's general platforming sections handle great with the trio of protagonists, but the game's remaining two thirds are majorly flawed. The combat is bland, and the riddles are disastrously bad.

As a Wii U launch title, Black Ops II strives to innovate upon the well-known Call of Duty-formula, and to some extent it also manages to do so. While it still is very much the same game previously released on Sony's and Microsoft's consoles, it is the ability to play the game single-handed through the game pad that should be Nintendo's selling point.

It's more of an expansion than a proper sequel, and the puzzles are not as logical and enjoyable as the ones in the original game. But it still offers a genuinely funny and pleasant overall experience.

Dragonborn's most impressive achievement is the new and exciting island that offers plenty of new opportunities for adventure and stories to tell. Bethesda clearly focused on their strengths, and the result is their best Skyrim DLC so far.

The developers deserve praise for creating a different kind of movie game, and the kids can have fun with it for a short while. Sadly it still quickly becomes incredibly boring from the lack of any challenge what so ever.

The single player mode suffers from a lack of variation, but the competitive and team based multiplayer is a fantastic addition to both the Ratchet & Clank universe and the Tower Defense genre as a whole.

It has its moments but this trek through rooms and corridors quickly becomes tiresome and uninspired. The multiplayer brings it up a notch, but not enough to make this truly worth your time.

In his second attempt at conquering the gokart genre, Sonic somewhat manages to capture the essence of greatness. The characters and stages picked from Sega's vast library are nice, and the driving (on solid ground) feels great as well. It's only a shame that neither the flying or boating are particularly smooth, and that playing solo wears out once you've seen each level once.

This special edition comes with all the free multiplayer DLC, as well as the extended cut of the ending and bonus mission From Ashes. It's a pretty good package overall, and the Genesis motion comic fills in the story of the two preceding games. The inhumanly long loading screens of the Wii U version do put a damper on the experience, and Genesis skips plenty of important decisions from previous games that makes the story feel a little incomplete. But for newbies to the Mass Effect universe this is a damned good purchase.

Overhaul Games has succeeded in making one of the big RPG classics available on modern machines. The infinity engine looks great in HD and all the esthetics are well preserved. The new stuff is okay, but most importantly Baldur's Gate can now be fully enjoyed again, as it deserves.

Ben 10: Omniverse is first and foremost a disappointing game, with a developer apparently afraid to take any gameplay or story risks with one of Cartoon Network's most popular franchises. The fun and colourful visual design does little to make up for the uninspired, brawler based gameplay and wholly uninteresting story.

The premise of Little Inferno may sound a tad odd: You buy stuff, and then you burn it. Over and over again. But in fact, this is a game unlike any other this reviewer has ever played, and in a good way. Granted, it is a small game, but it is original, self-aware, self-ironic and self-referencing bordering on the postmodern. It even creates a brand new genre for itself, namely the burn 'em up.

Playing Tank! Tank! Tank! feels like wasting time better spent elsewhere. The game is uninspired, tiresome and boring. Perhaps the concept works better at the arcade halls, but it's pointless as a console game.

ZombiU becomes a showcase for the new Nintendo console with it's clever use of its unique controller scheme. It's an excellent survival horror game that keeps you on your toes from start to finish. It's tough and scary, and well worth the effort to play through.

Nintendo Land's defining quality is how it teaches the Wii U system to the player without making it complicated. This unfortunately also means depth is sacrificed.

New Super Mario Bros U is a Mario game – through and through. In some ways, this is the best game in the "New"-series thus far, with well designed levels, a lengthy campaign, and a plethora of hidden secrets around every twist and turn. The game offers plenty. It's also pretty much the same game we played in 2009, with some small changes, and can at times seem superfluous.

The campaign is too short, even for an arcade game. The gameplay is repetitive, and you'll probably be tired long before you've played all 100 levels. The multiplayer can be good fun with some friends, but don't expect the fun to last all night.

While its gorgeous visuals and 90's platforming gameplay throwback promises much, Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion ends up being no more than a simple nostalgia trip down memory lane. The paint/thinner mechanic from previous games are haphazardly implemented and completely ruins what sluggish flow the game already had.

When Vikings Attack is a fun and charming little game, with simple core mechanics. Britain is overrun by vikings, and the townspeople need to throw everything they can find at their aggressors to fend them off. Its good for casual gaming, but works best as a fun gaming experience with family and friends.

Mickey is back to save The Wasteland and this time he's accompanied with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. The game is filled with nostalgia, Disney magic, great voice acting and song, but is also colored by it's slow pace, tricky camera and level confusion. Still, The Power of 2 is a solid platformer, even with its frustrations.

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask does not upend the series' tried and true formula. It's still a delightful puzzle game embalmed in an engaging adventure, filled with eccentric characters in an exciting world. But it would be lovely to see something new added to the core.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale pits some of the most iconic PlayStation heroes against each other in a sprawling title fight where the overall feel of the game and its battle system are excellent. Skylanders is even more fun with Giants. A fun, playful story takes the players through eventful levels. The simple RPG elements make the game a lot more approachable for older gamers, meanwhile maintaining simplicity for the children. The toys are detailed and well-made.

Hitman: Absolution provides a varied and sometimes stellar experience. The joy of creating brilliant accidents is hard to match, but the game can also be very frustrating. Using disguises can be a frustrating experience, and at times you feel very limited in the choices you can make.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II doesn't offer a huge amount of surprises and fits rather neatly in with the rest of the series' later releases. The small changes to the formula ensure that the game is among the more interesting Call of Duty releases in a while. The robust multiplayer is among the best of the best, and will quench trigger-happy gamers' thirst for a while.

LittleBigPlanet Karting offers great fun for the creative and those who love karting games. It can at times feel a little empty, the characters a little flat, but the driving experience is good, albeit a bit chaotic. As always, the online community has great potential and will decide the success of the title.
