New Super Mario Bros U is a Mario game – through and through. In some ways, this is the best game in the "New"-series thus far, with well designed levels, a lengthy campaign, and a plethora of hidden secrets around every twist and turn. The game offers plenty. It's also pretty much the same game we played in 2009, with some small changes, and can at times seem superfluous.- Gamer.no

The campaign is too short, even for an arcade game. The gameplay is repetitive, and you'll probably be tired long before you've played all 100 levels. The multiplayer can be good fun with some friends, but don't expect the fun to last all night.- Gamer.no

While its gorgeous visuals and 90's platforming gameplay throwback promises much, Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion ends up being no more than a simple nostalgia trip down memory lane. The paint/thinner mechanic from previous games are haphazardly implemented and completely ruins what sluggish flow the game already had.- Gamer.no

When Vikings Attack is a fun and charming little game, with simple core mechanics. Britain is overrun by vikings, and the townspeople need to throw everything they can find at their aggressors to fend them off. Its good for casual gaming, but works best as a fun gaming experience with family and friends.- Gamer.no

Mickey is back to save The Wasteland and this time he's accompanied with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. The game is filled with nostalgia, Disney magic, great voice acting and song, but is also colored by it's slow pace, tricky camera and level confusion. Still, The Power of 2 is a solid platformer, even with its frustrations.- Gamer.no

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask does not upend the series' tried and true formula. It's still a delightful puzzle game embalmed in an engaging adventure, filled with eccentric characters in an exciting world. But it would be lovely to see something new added to the core.- Gamer.no

Far Cry 3 is impressive on all levels. The island pours over with insanity, helped along by a great cast of friends and foes. Graphically stunning, and a candidate for Game of the Year-awards.- Gamer.no

F1 Race Stars is an action-filled karting game featuring all drivers and teams from the 2012 season. The rather crazy fast-paced gameplay start out funny, but gets to repetitive after a short while.- Gamer.no

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale pits some of the most iconic PlayStation heroes against each other in a sprawling title fight where the overall feel of the game and its battle system are excellent. It's only too bad the game's lackluster variety options and tedious single player keep it from reaching its full potential.- Gamer.no

Skylanders is even more fun with Giants. A fun, playful story takes the players through eventful levels. The simple RPG elements make the game a lot more approachable for older gamers, meanwhile maintaining simplicity for the children. The toys are detailed and well-made.- Gamer.no

Hitman: Absolution provides a varied and sometimes stellar experience. The joy of creating brilliant accidents is hard to match, but the game can also be very frustrating. Using disguises can be a frustrating experience, and at times you feel very limited in the choices you can make.- Gamer.no

The tense atmosphere and fascinating setting makes this a highly interesting installment in the series. Sadly it is all brought down by a long list of technical issues and annoyances that makes this sometimes very enjoyable game a very trying experience.- Gamer.no

Call of Duty: Black Ops II doesn't offer a huge amount of surprises and fits rather neatly in with the rest of the series' later releases. The small changes to the formula ensure that the game is among the more interesting Call of Duty releases in a while. The robust multiplayer is among the best of the best, and will quench trigger-happy gamers' thirst for a while.- Gamer.no

LittleBigPlanet Karting offers great fun for the creative and those who love karting games. It can at times feel a little empty, the characters a little flat, but the driving experience is good, albeit a bit chaotic. As always, the online community has great potential and will decide the success of the title.- Gamer.no

Doom 3: BFG Edition is the epitome of an old-school first-person shooter, and while it still holds up quite well compared to today's mastodons the age of eight long years seems to weigh in on the game. The shooting is not as compelling anymore, the scares is often bland and repetitive and overall the changes Id Software has implemented is not all that great.- Gamer.no

Football Manager 2013 has inherited its throne as the #1 manager simulator. Don't expect a revolution, but a few tweaks here and there, and the addition of a couple of new game modes mean this year's release does just enough to be a must-buy for fans of the series.- Gamer.no

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is a hybrid that combines Criterion's long-living Burnout-franchise, i.e. fun gameplay, fast paced action and exceptional driving, with the mechanics and elements that made the original Most Wanted so great in the first place, making for one of the best racing-games this side of 2010.- Gamer.no

King's Bounty: Warriors of the North doesn't do anything new, but it's still a hugely enjoyable game that offers tons of content. I wish Katauri would make a full sequel, but until that happens, this will provide hours of addictive fun in classic King's Bounty-style.- Gamer.no

The most open ended series on the planet returns. You are free to carve your own path, make allies and disrupt or keep the peace. It can be confusing and slow at times, but leaving your story is great fun.- Gamer.no

Heavily inspired by the likes of Dungeon Keeper, this base building game fails to achieve the greatness of it's ancestor. There's some fun here, but outside of trying to navigate your increasingly complex dungeons, it's not challenging enough.- Gamer.no

A mediocre wargame that fails to impress. A short, 6-hour-long story which is hard to follow, does not hit any emotional buttons or give enough adrenalin-pumping moments. A decent multiplayer, but nothing that has not been done before in the genre.- Gamer.no

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3D does little to capture the magic and joy of Chris Sawyer's original theme park simulator. Everything's been dumbed down and compacted to fit onto a 3DS game card, and the game ends up feeling severely stunted because of this.- Gamer.no

Exploring the beautifully rendered American east coast during the 16th century is a delight. The woodland nature areas provide a atmosphere and a sense of freedom that's been lacking in the series previous installments. Variation in quests, innovative and well developed systems are the game's strongest parts.- Gamer.no

Sound Shapes is a charming and beautiful platformer based on music and rhythm. Your goal is to collect notes and build on the song playing in the background. All the levels have a different look, with a team of graphic artists and performers combining their talents to make something truly enjoyable and unique.- Gamer.no

Deadlight is an amazingly beautiful game. The combination of a simplistic foreground and incredibly detailed backgrounds is breathtaking. However, the gameplay isn't as elaborate. It relies heavily on trial and error, especially in the second half of the game. This made the game both frustrating and boring.- Gamer.no

Rainbow Moon has simple gameplay, and a charming and colorful look. Both the look and soundtrack is very retro, and seems to be a tribute to old classics. Is you're a fan of strategic RPGs, you'll find a lot to love here. I, on the other hand, found it more of a chore.- Gamer.no
