Prince of Persia is a beautiful game that looks so good that you almost want to date your tv. Almost. Because the downside of the game is a total lack of intelligence. In an attempt to offer the gamer a incredible looking game with minor obstacles Ubisoft has made a game that reduced the roll of the player to an absolute minimum. If you have a weak spot for beautiful games than Prince of Persia will be your cup of tea. If you're looking for a challenge be sure not to buy this game.- Gamer.nl

Chrono Trigger hasn't lost its magic in 2009. The combat system is unique and effective, the story and its characters impressive and even the looks and sound of the game are more than you could wish for. It the end it was worth waiting for a European version.- Gamer.nl

Age of Empires is a perfect example of how a strategy game should look on a DS. The game offers strategil depth, it looks good and has some interesting new features. In all fairness, Civilization Revolution will provide you more strategic gameplay, but Age of Empires is a lot easier to pick up and is at least as good as the one Firaxis made.- Gamer.nl

Despite the power of the blue Hedgehog, Sonic Unleashed never really impressed us. The game has its moments, but these moments are so rare and easily forgotten when you've reached the point where you almost throw your controller against the tv. The race levels are awesome, but with the heavy load of the uninspiring Werehog levels, those aren't even enough to give the game a sufficient grade.- Gamer.nl

Alone in the Dark: Inferno is a cleaner version of the average horror game Alone in the Dark. It's a shame that the faults of the original are still partly in tact. It's more fun to play through, but for the second time the hype isn't justified.- Gamer.nl

Despite a stubborn camera and repeating battles this is still a Tomb Raider in top shape. The game is far from perfect, but it still offers something better than Tomb Raider: Legend or Anniversary. Too bad that Crystal Dynamics, even after all those years, still hasn't found a solution for the same old flaws. But, in all fairness, Tomb Raider: Underworld is an epic Lara Croft adventure where you can puzzle, discover and look at a well shaped Lara.- Gamer.nl

Lips is a decent karaoke game, but nevers outgrows its bigger brother Singstar. The lack of some real online options and the ease on which you can hum your way past the different songs will scare of some gamers. Nevertheless, Lips offers a wide variety music, let's you play your own songs, offers some nice looking microphones and has and good overal presentation. In the end we still recommend Singstar, except when you don't own a PlayStation 2 or 3.- Gamer.nl

Metal Slug 7 has survived the transition between arcade an the Nintendo DS. The only thing that we really missed was the co-op mode. What, in al fairness, is almost like a stab to the heart. Gamers who never played a Metal Slug game before be aware, the game offers only seven levels that will last for only an hour or two. However, for the fans this is just what the doctor ordered, action in Metal Slug style!- Gamer.nl

If you want a taste of the real deal, Football Manager 2009 offers a great alternative. The improved graphics aren't all that, but all the other extras are undoubtatly a big plus for the series. And considering that the extras are build on a more than solid base the only conclusion you can make is that Football Manager is, again, the best in i's genre. Even the little flaws can't prevent that from happening.- Gamer.nl

Even people who dislike zombies will probably change their minds after playing Left 4 Dead. The game offers much more than just killing zombies by the hundred. It offers lots and lots of gameplay with an unique combination of a tactical shooter with good old fashioned humour.- Gamer.nl

Need for Speed Undercover is a big step backwards for the series. It's almost as if the franchise has the same disease as FIFA had a couple of years ago. EA promises a lot new features but in the end there just isn't enough to justify a new game. Thankfully the FIFA-syndrom offers perspective, because after a few mishaps the franchise has produced an instant classic. That's why we keep hope for a worthy Need for Speed game in the near future.- Gamer.nl

Against all odds, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe turns out to be a very entertaining game. The characters that actually made it into the game are more than welcome and the chosen super hero's (and villians) are a perfect fit. The difficulty of the game is kept simple. Just the way it should be in a Mortal Kombat game. But, make sure that you have some friends over when you start playing the game, because it offers little fun for just one player.- Gamer.nl

Ubisoft hasn't succeeded in getting the full potential from Shaun White Snowboarding. Some gameplay elements, like the enormous freedom and control, aren't that fantastic in the end. But the good online mode and the beautiful surroundings make up for it.- Gamer.nl

Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City can be judged in two ways. For gamers that are new to the series and for the experienced Animal Crossing gamer. For the first group Animal Crossing is a must buy if you own a Wii. For the second group the game will be one big déjà-vu. The game offers very few new and innovative elements in comparison to it's predecessor, but comes with a very strong game concept. Having this said, gamers that never played an Animal Crossing game can easily add one point to its grade.- Gamer.nl

With Wrath of the Lich King Blizzard shows the world how a MMORPG should look like. The add-on offers enough for both the casual and the hardcore gamer and is a must for every World of Warcraft player. We predict that it's gonna be a long and cold winter.- Gamer.nl

Sacred 2 will probably stay in the shadow of "Diablo III", but still manages to be a pretty good game. The huge enviroment will gift you many hours of gameplay and the traditional style of playing works more than fine. This being said, Sacred 2 offers few new features but in the end the balanced gameplay and varied mission structure will be worth you while.- Gamer.nl

Mirror's Edge is a unique experience. The controls work great and the visuals and music fit perfectly with the rest of the game. That such a unique concept contains a few flaws, like the short story mode and some frustrating gameplay moments, isn't a shame in the least. This experiment is a succes!- Gamer.nl

Rare hasn't succeed in making use of the ambitious prospect of being creative in putting together different parts to make good vehicles. The missions are too much alike and way too short, but everything outside of the main missions is fun to play.- Gamer.nl

PES 2009 has been beaten by FIFA 09. Of course, EA's game has made tremendous progress in this year's edition, but the fact is still that PES 2009 has little technical improvements above the previous editions. The game is still fun to play and not a faulty purchase, but Konami will need to rethink the concept to beat their competitor next time.- Gamer.nl

Call of Duty: World at War has a good, but not so memorable single player experience and a fantastic multiplayer. The cooperative mode is the best thing about the game, so people without Xbox LIVE Gold should wait for the game to appear with a budget price.- Gamer.nl

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 combines just what WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2008 already offered but with a Road to Wrestlemania mode, with better character-creation options and a very entertaining Tag Team mode. Naruto 2: The Broken Bond is in every aspect an improvement of Rise of the Ninja. If you enjoyed the first game than you'll definitely like this one. Because the game is very easy to master and the various game elements offer excellent gameplay the game is ideal for gamers that are new to the series. And even if you do have an natural intolerance against cartoony game characters you will still play the game with a smile on your face.- Gamer.nl

We're getting a little overwhelmed by the sheer number of Cliffy B interviews, quotes and other Cliff related stuff that have roamed the world wide web the past few weeks. But in all fairness, Gears of War 2 is a more than worthy sequel of its predeccesor. The co-op mode is still a very attractive part of the game, and the same goes for the Horde mode. With more enemies, more levels and especially more blood it offers just what you expect from a sequel. The game rarely suprises, but it hurls enough cannon fodder towards you that it will blow you away.- Gamer.nl

We find it a bit strange that it took the developer three years to make a DS version of the game. But, with Exit making finally making it's appearance on Nintendo's handheld, they can add another successful puzzle game to their ranks. Exit is mostly a game for the strategic thinker, so be sure that this type of puzzling is your cup of tea. Exit DS has it share of flaws, but with its charming looks it will, eventually, get your attention.- Gamer.nl

Naruto is a great action game that lives up to its series with ease. What stands out is the overal quality of the graphics, sound and the unique battle system. Unfortunatly there will be no 'friends battle frenzies' because of a total absence of any type of online play. Nevertheless Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm adds a new breeze of fresh air in the fighting genre and even the players that are new to the Naruto world will enjoy this game.- Gamer.nl

Despite some minor flaws Valkyria Chronicles is full of quality and offers unique gameplay. When playing Valkyria Chronicles you'll probably get the feeling that you're wandering inside a big aquarel painting. Offering a decent challenge, versatile missions and easy to master controls Sega delivers a turn-based classic that will keep you hooked onto your PlayStation 3 for weeks, maybe even months, if you like a great story and are a sucker for tactical gameplay.- Gamer.nl

Quantum of Solace isn't a bad game, but certainly not a great one either. It doesn't really feel like a Bond-game either, but in the end the movies don't either. It's a fun game but there are certainly better shooters on the market right now.- Gamer.nl

We use the word Epic a lot in our reviews and that is simply the best description that we can give for most of the scenes in Resistance 2. On the outside, the game isn't the best you can get nowadays, but thankfully the main focus of the developer wasn't the engine. Instead they made a epic ten hour lasting singleplayer adventure, an interesting multiplayer and a co-op mode. The sheer amount of players than can battle each other in either one of the two multiplayer modes has never been seen before on a console and will make the game even last longer.- Gamer.nl
