There is still much to improve about NHL 2K9 but for the average gamer this ice hockey game will be slightly better than NHL 09. Compare the games with FIFA and PES and you will know why you would choose for one of the two (at least with the older versions). Only when you play offline NHL's older brother 2K8 will be a cheaper and better choice.- Gamer.nl

Spore is a one of a kind videogame. It offers endless possibilities and gives the gamer a game within the game. But in the process of giving you everything you want, EA has forgotten to include some depth and gameplay. As a design program Spore deserves an A+, as a videogame a little less.- Gamer.nl

Kicking your friends ass is no longer a forbidden dream. With Facebreaker you can upload a photo of your friend or foe and start kicking the crap out of them. Sadly the game lacks a balanced singleplayer mode and offers little fighting pleasure if your on your own. But we see a bright future for Facebreaker 2.- Gamer.nl

If you're looking for something different in the already varied arcade segment try Shred Nebula. Be prepared for long loading times and a somewhat boring soundtrack, but beyond that you've got a game that offers nice physics and more than enough cannon fodder.- Gamer.nl

Warhammer Battle March is in nothing a serious competitor in the RTS genre. Complicated controls, dull graphics and monotonous missions make the game almost unplayable. With Red Alert 3 and EndWar approaching fast there is no real good reason to buy battle March if you want to play a RTS on your console. Even the Warhammer fans are better off with Dawn of War II. Don't say we didn't warn you.- Gamer.nl

For a Square Enix title Infinite Undiscovery is almost an embarrassment. The action sequences between chapters is to straightforward an it lacks RPG depth and drive. Fortunatly the game offers just enough to stay on its two feet.- Gamer.nl

What looks like a kiddy game for some gamers, may well be serious business for others. And that's the case with Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise. With an upgraded interface and a lot more Piñata's to choose from, this sequel is more than worthy of his predecessor.- Gamer.nl

GTR Evolution feels like the most complete but also last installment in the series. The next one will probably be more like a revolution than an evolution. And with for good reason. Evolution is starting to look a little outdated. Just don't let this stop you from buying this game. GTR Evolution offers you an all-in-one package of cars and tracks in a racer that's almost as good as the real thing.- Gamer.nl

Killing for money is almost as good as gaming for money. That's why Mercenaries 2 is in theory a great game. But three and a half years after the first Mercenaries there hasn't been much of a change. Even the same antique design flaws are still present. Nevertheless the sheer size of the game and ability to destroy almost anything makes up for a lot of ground.- Gamer.nl

Imagine that your humanity's last hope and your sole task is to run around the city helping other people to get away from the zombies. In The Last Guy your are just that, and for a more than a reasonable price you get a game that's fun to play. The game uses satellite images from different big cities so you'll even get a change to save your own neighbour.- Gamer.nl

Stretch your fingers and invite three friends if you want to play Castle Crashers, because the game is literally a multiplayer button-bashing frenzy. The gameplay offers not much more than pressing the buttons as quickly as possible, but the humor and the fun of wreaking havoc with three friends makes the game worth the buy.- Gamer.nl

The Adventure Editor is the star of the show in Galactic Adventures, and offers uncountable options to create the most crazy missions. It's a shame however that this add-on wasn't implemented better into the original game.- Gamer.nl

Tales of Vesperia's presentation is excellent and the characters really absorb you into the story. However, the simple battle system and the lack op depth prevent the game from rising to great heights.- Gamer.nl

Ferrari Challenge: Trofeo Pirelli is a mediocre racegame. The cars all look very detailed and sound great, but cannot be wrecked. The AI cars can barely find their way around the track. There are multiple 16-player online modes, that work great and run smooth, but unfortunately there’s hardly any people online to compete with. This rearing horse seems crippled.- Gamer.nl

FlatOut: Utlimate Carnage is the perfect game for you if you want to race without worrying about the height of your dampers or the alignment of your seat. Wrecking other cars and destroying most of the scenery gives undeniable pleasure. However, if you already played FlatOut 2 there won't be much of a surprise. And that's why the game doesn't get a top score.- Gamer.nl

With Quest for Booty Insomniac Games shows that downloadable games are turning into a serious gaming-platform. Quest for Booty offers action and gameplay elements that are more than worthy for the platform genre. You even take the minor flaws the game has (no new features whatsoever and -in comparison with Tools of Destruction- limited possibilities) for granted when you see the price.- Gamer.nl

Too Human wants to be everything, but ends up being nothing. Buggy controls and no challenge whatsoever take out a lot of the fun. And fun is why whe play games. For an action RPG the game lacks any form of RPG depth and the action part isn't strong enough to carry the game. What remains is a dull and tedious game of killing monsters. Too Human lacks any humanity.- Gamer.nl

Fable 2 Pub Games is a nice little bonus for people planning to play Fable 2. It's free when pre-ordering, so you can start collecting money and items even before Fable 2's out. It's great as a free extra, but you should not buy it for 800 points on Marketplace.- Gamer.nl

Space Siege is an outerspace Dungeon Siege clone. In short: there is a spaceship cramped with aliens and your the cleaning guy. With Chris 'Supreme Commander' Taylor behind te wheel Space Siege sounds promising. Unfortunatly Space Siege gives little satisfaction. All the necessary ingredients for a decent RPG are there, but there is no chef to make a nice meal out of it.- Gamer.nl

Bangai-O is a one of a kind videogame. The only game that you can compare it with is the first installment of Bangai-O. And that's equally good as it is bad. Good, because it's totally different then anything else. Bad, because it will be hard for players to get accustomed to the series. In all fairness Bangai-O is a very good game but it gives the player litte chance to ease into the game.- Gamer.nl

Bad graphics, minimalistic and simplistic gameplay, repetition. This game was mediocre on the 360, on the PC and now on PS3. Don’t bother getting this game. Unless you have way too much time on your hands.- Gamer.nl

The DS version of GRID seems to be more than a simple cash-in. It's unfortunate that the game suffers from technical difficulties. There’s a lack of speed, no damage physics and the camera viewpoints could cause the player some problems. On the good side, you can design your own circuits, you can race online and there’s a solid career mode. The sheer fun, catapults this game above average.- Gamer.nl

PixelJunk Eden is without a doubt a creative expression that let's you play like you've never played before. As a Grimp, your sole task is to furtalise a garden. When you're the proud owner of a next-gen console, the last thing on your mind is to play 2D shooting games. At least, that's what you think. Make an exception for Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2. Because of the simple fact that this will be the most frantic and over the top action you will ever see in a 2D game. Give it a go!- Gamer.nl

When a game can give you that unpleasant and creepy feeling you'll know that it's a decent horror title. And Siren: Blood Curse is just that. A very convincing Japanese horror game with a throat-grabbing atmosphere and the undead popping up more often than an economic crisis getting the front page of a newspaper.- Gamer.nl

A breakdancing rhythm game without any gimmick to make it stand out from the Guitar Heroes and Rock Bands of this generation. The strange thing is, the button presses you have to perform are not in line with the rhythm at all! A low difficulty, even lower satisfaction level. Do yourself a favor and let this one pass.- Gamer.nl
