Super Meat Boy is a big, scary game but serves its challenges in sweet portions. The fact that you can die anywhere, anytime makes this a good challenge, but the balanced controls ensure there's no frustration involved.

MMA has enough moments that are worthwhile. It's just too bad that EA hasn't learned from the strong and weak points of the competition. The controls aren't always working properly and the number of modes are a little on the thin side. However, true MMA-fans will be able to ignore these faults.

Sonic Colours is a beautiful and challenging game that both old Sonic-fans and newcomers will appreciate. The problems with Sonic and having freedom in three dimensions remain, but you'll soon forget those parts when you're flying through 2D-levels at full speed.

The PSP-version of EyePet could have been a good game. Instead, it is a crippled one, with a small collection of uninteresting mini-games.

Dance Central shows what Kinect can do for gaming. The gameplay is forgiving enough t o ensure even players without any sense of rhythm stand a chance, and the Break It Down-mode can teach virtually anyone the dance moves required. The menu controls need some work, but even the sporadic problems with recognizing more subtle moves, the fun isn't spoiled.

After Midnight is all about going out at night. Sims-players who love the social aspect of the series will feel right at home with this expansion. Players who like vampires as well.

Kinect Adventures is a typical tech-demo that comes free with new hardware. It's instantly fun and demonstrates what Kinect can do, but you've seen everything in an hour and it won't take long for you to stop playing altogether. It works though, and for that it's already a fun little game to have. Make the sequel a bit longer and more varied, please.

Bloody Good Time is the spiritual successor to The Ship. It maintains its quirky style of action and strategy combined with a Sim-like gameplay. At its current low pricepoint it's hard to pass up on.

No Heroes Allowed continues on the foundation that has been laid by its predecessors and gets better with every release. The game isn't very accessible, but when you like a head spinning challenge, you certainly have to give this game a chance.

NBA 2K11 is a top contender for best sports game of 2011. There have been major improvements over last years edition. The game is hard to master, realistic and complex.

The comeback of Medal of Honor is more or less a success, although the game obviously is more traditional than some of it's younger competitors. The singleplayer paints a realistic picture of Afghanistan, but the scripting is pretty bad. The multiplayer is hard and fast and takes some getting used to. An enjoyable package.

Vanquish is no greater literature, but that's ok. It's pure pulp, and combined with all the basic shooter-elements that are woven in professionally, and the absurd mix of explosive gameplay and cheesy one-liners, this is one strange but satisfying package. A fantastic game for the fanatic gamer and one of the biggest surprises of the year.

Warriors of Rock is pretty much the same as the previous Guitar Hero, with the exception of the new campaign. Curiously enough this only weakens the game. The tracklist is varied enough to warrant a purchase, but developer Neversoft will have to come up with something more original for the next game in the series.

PES 2011 has an eccentric approach of soccer. It's fast, fun and action-loaded. There are some flaws, but it's undeniable: the master of soccer games is back.

Ace Combat: Joint Assault isn't necessarily a bad game. It's mostly a game that is limited by the hardware, the weak plot and repetitive missions. Its only saving grace is the strong multiplayer.

Lords of Shadow defies the boundaries of what Castlevania should be, but it works. The game pulls you in medieval times, but the gameplay, presentation and story are without a doubt as modern as you can get. The ghost of old Castlevania flows through the game, while being fresh enough to make it feel like the start of a new franchise. Both fans and newcomers will find plenty to enjoy here.

WRC is a very competent rally game and offers quite some challenge. However, it lacks any surprises and does not impress visually. If you do not care about these factors, it's still worth to check out and get acquainted with one of the world's most exciting auto motorized sports.

Thanks to the co-op mode, the character building set and the item combining, Blue Dragon: Awakened Shadow is different from the other games in the franchise. But it doesn't exactly stand out from other RPG's. Because of the lack of any ground-breaking elements, it feels like we've all played this one before.

One of the most fun arcade games available for the Wii. The Brave and the Bold has fast action sequences, a big arsenal of weapons and unique moves for each superhero. The game pushes you to play on thanks to the open gameplay and humor, and the hand-drawn stop motion animation looks fantastic. The game is on the short side though and once you've finished it, there's nothing to come back to.

Sonic is finally back. Not that he was away, but he hasn't been in this sort of shape since the Genesis-days. That is not to say that he's completely like the old Sonic, because there are plenty of little niggles here for the fans to get irritated from. Still, he's fast and runs from left to right, just the way we like him.
