Snake Pass reminds us of the Nintendo 64 era of three dimensional platformers, but with a unique gameplay twist. The game is original, super upbeat and fun to play, but it could have been much more.

Yooka-Laylee tries to be nostalgic, but never really gets to the level of the good old platform games from before. Levels are full of technical difficulties and tend to get boring quickly.

BioWare is known for its storytelling but Andromeda fails on this element. It is not original, nor logical nor deep. Thankfully the tuned fighting system is brilliant, as is traveling to the beautiful planets.

The Phantom Thieves did not just steal the hearts of their targets: also our hearts are stolen. The new cast, carefully designed dungeons and tweaks on the existing mechanics make Persona 5 the best game in the franchise.

This game feels like a game from an alternative reality. It's a 90s light gun shooter in virtual reality. The basic game is short, but the action is intense and very much worth playing over and over again.

Kona is an exciting game with an amazing atmosphere, that is tainted by a disappointing story and average tech. It is very enjoyable as a Canada simulator though, thanks to its mix of different genres.

Wildlands is full of illogic gameplay and bugs, but with friends this co-op shooter is loads of fun.

Funny, engaging and full of absurd but fascinating concepts: the new Psychonauts is just as awesome as the original. The VR experience is excellent.

Fast RMX is not exactly charming, but it is definitely a strong racing game. No matter if you play in handheld mode, on the television, alone or with friends, Fast RMX is a fast challenge in any setting.

The concept behind Mario Sports Superstars seems solid, but none of the sports offers the depth we would expect from playing the bigger separate sports games. Mario Sports Superstars does many things, but does not really shine at anything.

1-2-Switch is a unique game thanks to the Joy-Con controllers. It is a party starter, but the party will not last very long.

Nier Automata is a masterpiece: a tour de force of creativity and a philosophical essay. Square's new dream team proves that miracles do exist.

Breath of the Wlid offers the same great feeling of scale and adventure as the first Zelda-games. This game throws you in at the deep end, and you get a great sense of freedom in return. The new version of Hyrule is to die for.

Tides of Numenera is an almost literary experience, it is amazing, it offers a rare combination of thought through world- and character design and the feeling of freedom is almost overwhelming.

The combination of Tamagotchi'esque gameplay and the adventure of a jrpg may sound interesting on paper, but in the actual game it is mainly feeling like doing chores.

Even though there are two new companies in charge of Halo Wars 2, this strategy game is an excellent sequel without any big revolutions. It might be a bit dull that way, but fans of the series will still enjoy this a lot.

Tales is a classic JRPG, with generic graphics but a fine anime style. The story is rich, the characters are interesting and the only thing we dislike about it is the backtracking that is often needed.

It's not often that a game of this caliber lives up to all expectations. Horizon Zero Dawn starts slowly, but transforms in a huge action adventure. We haven't been obsessed with a virtual world to this degree since The Witcher 3. Horizon impresses in every facet imaginable.

Sniper Elite 4 is great when it comes to the quality of the missions. We can't think of many better shooter simulations. The game is good in many ways, but it would have been better with a great story.

Diluvion is a beautiful game to look at, but exploring can get a bit dull after a while. The camera is not really great, the controls aren't either, but the combat system works well.

Thanks to the new first person perspective in Resident Evil, this feels like a truly new game. The survival elements are simple but sweet: Biohazard is a genius horror game, and the first big video game that is worth playing on PlayStation VR.

There are not many games as cruel and bloody as Killing Floor 2. Taking down waves of huge monsters was never as satisfying as in Killing Floor 2, but the gameplay is not as solid as it should be.
