The Solus Project is simple but hard, there is not a clear story, but at the same time there is so much history. The survival part might be a bit too simple, but exploring the world makes up for that.

The combination of Tamagotchi'esque gameplay and the adventure of a jrpg may sound interesting on paper, but in the actual game it is mainly feeling like doing chores.

This game is somewhat shallow in fights, but it does give that Dungeons & Dragons feel that we love. This offers a unique behind-the-scenes into the biggest analog role playing game in the world.

What looks like an open world, is in fact a closed snowfield that only gives you the illusion of freedom.

Had the Playstation 3 version of Lost Planet been released as a launch game of the console, it would probably have gotten less critisism. In the meantime many better games have passed it by, which makes this one just another shooter. No one will get sleepless nights from this title.

The remake of MediEvil shows that old franchises can easily be modernized without losing their nostalgic value. The improved graphics and more accurate controls give the game a major upgrade. However, the full potential is not achieved due to a slower game pace and irritating camera movements.

​The dismal atmosphere, the interesting story and the original use of the Wii U Gamepad make Project Zero: Maiden of Blackwater a unique horror experience. Some parts of the game are a bit old-school, some things are a tad too repetitive, but the horror and the dreary atmosphere make up for that. It is not nice, but it is definitely haunting.

King’s Quest is letting us down a little bit in this second episode, as it has less logical puzzles and a shorter story. Thanks to the animations, atmosphere, voice acting and emotional moments it is still one of the best adventures of this moment though.

The Legend of Legacy takes an extremely thought through fighting system and does not do anything special with it. It is cute, but truly difficult and it takes a lot of perseverance and patience to continue playing this game, which does not really reward you for your hard work.

Brut@l is one of this summer's most pleasant surprises. By taking inspiration from classics like Rogue and adding new gameplay mechanics, striking visuals and some very fluent gameplay, Brut@l becomes a great game in its own right.

When Doom 3 originally came out, we could only dream of playing it in VR. Now that's a reality, we feel that Doom 3 is simply too old. Thankfully Archiact made it very intuitive.

Somerville's biggest strengths are the atmosphere and story, which both give room for thought. But the puzzles are very easy and lack variation. Despite all that, Somerville is just like Limbo and Inside worth the effort.

Train Fever is one of the best train simulators to date and that is saying something. It doesn’t get everything right and the amount of content can be a bit lacking, but the end product is so well made that it deserves plenty of praise.

Alien Shooter Vengeance is surprisingly fun! It’s brainless shooting at everything that moves with an appealing storyline. A very good combination.

Fallout 4: Automatron could have been a brilliant part of a bigger DLC package, but just like it is now is simply not worth your money. The changeable robots are cool, but the missions are way too short and not memorable at all.

Nier is as awesome as it is obscure. A game that will be hated by simpletons for its bold approach to the action-rpg genre, and loved by anyone in their right mind for exactly the same reason. The oddly loveable cast, the myriad of different gameplay-concepts (ranging from old school to sheer genius) and the awesome soundtrack make Nier into a roughly hewn diamond, brilliantly shining as the surprise of the year.

MXGP is over excessive in its no-nonsense approach. It's a decent, even clinical racing game. It could've been way more exciting and outspoken; now it's a motocross-game without any spunk.

Wreckateer is a Kinect-game that actually works. That alone makes it better than most other Kinect-games. It resembles Angry Birds so much that Microsoft should give a portion of its proceeds to Rovio, but that doesn't mean that Wreckateer isn't a lot of fun to play in short sessions. Many different projectiles to shoot with and a challenging score-system can't prevent boredom from setting in after longer sessions though. Consider this a nice snack.

Gotham Knights strings together weird design choices. Whether it be the open world, the combat system or even the co-op: it's all just not fleshed out enough. The potential is there for those willing to dig deeper into this batsoup. But it shouldn't be necessary to dig this deep for highlights. Gotham Knights is the superhero game we deserve yet need.

Underground is a funny Wii U-game with a serious twist as it is a serious surgery game. It makes an art out of moving as smooth as possible with robot arms, and it is fun but hard to learn, especially because of the GamePad that often gives your fingers a hard time.

This game won’t exactly entertain you. The bad controls result in way too much frustration and the game isn’t even that scary, which is a shame because the game pretends to be a survival-horror game. The visits to the Himalaya are interesting enough but not enough to turn Cursed Mountain into a classic.

The first Still Life was a breath of fresh air in the old adventure genre, but the second game is a mess. The story has no tension, puzzles are confusing, the menus are disorienting and the game suffers from bad animation and terrible voice acting.

Rhiannon is a decent game for those who are willing to search for the story within the game, who are willing to keep roaming on the same location without a specific goal and who are willing to look past the mediocre look of the game that already was obsolete in 1996. If you answered positive on any of the above the game offers a interesting adventure. For anyone else it might be beter to wait for a new adventure.

The fighting system is right, the powers are right, the balance is right: every superhero is fun to play with. The heroes' designs are debatable, but the unlockable costumes solve that problem for most people. It is a shame that it was decided to put so much emphasis on multiplayer, because at the moment there is a lot of fun to be had with Marvel's Avengers, especially as a single player game. The multiplayer is now on level The Incredible Hulk (2008). Let's hope it doesn't take Crystal Dynamics eleven years to reach your level of Endgame.

Assassin's Creed Pirates is about shallow sea combat and fast boats. A simple, but entertaining snack.

As a motorcross game MX vs. ATV Untamed would have been nice to play. But the quality of the game has really been lowered by adding vehicles like buggies and monstertrucks. These could better have been removed from the game. When it comes to graphics this game can't cope with its competitors. It's a disappointing feeling to have a game in your possession which feels like an oldy.

Codename: Panzers Cold War isn't good, but isn't bad either. It will probably be overrun by the sheer quality of the other RTS games. Hardcore strategy fans will find this title too shallow, while gamers that are looking for some fast paced action will find it elsewhere.

Operation Flashpoint: Red River doesn't play well on its own due to its bad AI. The online mode does offer a good experience, but isn't especially unique or amazing. The addition of a splitscreen-mode could've changed that, but Codemasters chose not to include such a thing.
