Paper Beast is a wondrous game. The paper animals all behave in their own ways, and the setup of this game is both confusing and intuitive. It's just like a dream.

The Siege of Spinner Cay feels like a rerun of the first chapter. It's not better or worse and the principle and tone are comparable. The third chapter at last promises a twist, at least that's what the closing scene shows. And that's a good thing, because five times the same thing would get tedious.

The stealth gameplay has been improved in certain spots, but backtracking and obvious puzzles keep Episode 2 from greatness. A step ahead, but no metamorphosis.

Fifa 20 can be seen as Fifa 19: part 2. Despite some changes, some of the frustrations from the previous part remain. In the end the gameplay is not innovative enough to keep you busy. The multitude of strange passes and the unbalanced dribbling system are the main culprits.

This game makes the old brand new again. The new style is amazing to look at, and the game is still as amazing as it used to be. Be warned though: the gameplay can be tough to get through.

Overlord II has refreshing and well designed levels and the multiplayer modes give the game meat. However, a frustrating camera, unstable framerate and crude humour take away from the experience.

Band Hero is Guitar Hero 5's casual sister in almost every way. All the elements from her big brother can be found in this game, along with the new Sing Along-mode and Party Play. The new features, the casual style and matching tracklist have made this a game that can compete with SingStar on every party. Add the ability to import the songs from Guitar Hero 5 and World Tour into the game and Band Hero is a game that is truly for everyone.

Untitled Goose Game knows how to use a funny concept. In just a short time this game will conquer your heart. Mainly because the extremely witty goosegame is the ultimate antidote for a game year filled with the usual violence.

PES 2011 has an eccentric approach of soccer. It's fast, fun and action-loaded. There are some flaws, but it's undeniable: the master of soccer games is back.

Finally we’ve got ourselves a brand new Settlers adventure that is more than capable to let us forget the last two parts. Thank you Bruce and Blue Byte for the hours that we’ll be spending behind our PC’s for the coming months.

Overwatch 2 does a lot of good, but at the same time almost everything went wrong before, around and after launch. It's hard to see the wood for all those trees of mistakes, when somewhere in that mess is still hiding one of the best shooters of the moment. Part two makes some much-needed improvements that make it play better in theory than ever before. Unfortunately, in practice, the many bugs and server problems predominated last week. It is therefore 'better' that part two is free-to-play, because you can't really ask for money for this.

Shooting birds with a catapult is amazing. The simple graphic style is easy on the eyes and is even more lively in VR. This is not the game of the year, but it does guarantee a good time.

Civilization 7 gets a lot right. Deep systems like diplomacy, trade and dealing with resources certainly make this a 'greatest hits' compilation of earlier Civ-games. The new structure with playing in three Ages lifts the game above that though, and really gives it a unique identity. The only major gripe is that the designs and interface tend to get into each other's space. Despite this, the game will soon hold you in an iron grip. At this point it is a cliché, but even in Civilization 7 "one more turn" means that two hours later you're still playing. In that, this is certainly a successful new instalment.

Running, kicking, shooting, dying and doing that all over again: High Hell is one big chunk of action. Though the huge open levels sometimes work against it, High Hell is a fun and crazy arcade shooter to love.

There are enough reasons to consider purchasing F1 2013. The Formula 1 cars control better than in previous installments and thanks to new modes there are easier ways to get into some action quickly. Unfortunately it feels kind of dated on an audiovisual level. Having to pay extra for classic content isn’t modern either.

Changing the biggest disappointments from the last UFC really makes UFC 2 an excellent game. The developments in the fighting systems make the game more balanced and smooth. It is not easy to understand how to use it to the fullest though.

Mirror's Edge is a unique experience. The controls work great and the visuals and music fit perfectly with the rest of the game. That such a unique concept contains a few flaws, like the short story mode and some frustrating gameplay moments, isn't a shame in the least. This experiment is a succes!

Mark Leung: revenge of the Bitch is a bizarre role-playing game. It doesn't just take the piss out of the games industry, but mankind as a whole. Even its numerous technical issues come off as a bit charming.

The deep tactical approach that the series is known for makes place for an accessible approach with a few minor issues. Despite these issues, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier offers a highly entertaining package which anyone can enjoy – especially those looking for something else than run of the mill run and gun action.

Flying Wild Hog tries really hard to modernize the shooter series, while the heart of it is still the same. There are indeed new elements that offer a new experience, but they are also distracting from the shooting action. Unfortunately the story is not great, which makes Shadow Warrior 2 an okay but not excellent game.

All That Remains is a raw telling drenched with cinematography intricacies. The action and tension are held back, but in this chapter emotions play a bigger role. Playing as Clementine you'll feel at a loss for direction and abandoned, but also ready for everything.

It took a while, but The Journey Down: Chapter Two is exactly what we were hoping for. Playtime is a tad longer, the graphics are more lively and it has even more Grim Fandango references than Chapter One. The puzzles do get a bit too predictable towards the end.
