Metroid: Other M has two sides. The presentation is far from perfect, with cinematics that offer cliché after cliché and in-game graphics that aren't as detailed as the Prime-series. But the new gameplay is an unexpected mix between different Metroid-games of the past and impresses. Metroid: Other M takes some time to take off, but once it does, it latches onto you like a Metroid and holds its grip until you've played to the end.- Gamer.nl

The story of R.U.S.E. might not be interesting and the action is kind of slow, but the game has a lot of impressive strategic elements. The game is deep and exciting.- Gamer.nl

This is a dark and ruthless horror game which does not offer you too many things to survive with. This small game is a challenge, and does some interesting things regarding visuals and puzzles too.- Gamer.nl

Stellaris has a lot of depth: any aspect of your civilization is fully customizable. The game is at it best when everything comes together perfectly, but that does not quite happen in the middle of the game. But, the more time you invest, the more dynamic the in-game action gets.- Gamer.nl

It does not matter from what side you look at it, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is an engaging, impressive title. The astounding storytelling, beautiful gameworld and intimate atmosphere make this game highly recommendable.- Gamer.nl

Running, kicking, shooting, dying and doing that all over again: High Hell is one big chunk of action. Though the huge open levels sometimes work against it, High Hell is a fun and crazy arcade shooter to love.- Gamer.nl

Shooting birds with a catapult is amazing. The simple graphic style is easy on the eyes and is even more lively in VR. This is not the game of the year, but it does guarantee a good time.- Gamer.nl

It has been a long time coming, but Star Ocean: The Last Hope has finally found the spotlight on the Xbox 360. The game offers a great amount of depth, a varied visual presentation and the battle system works well. While not a classic, this Japanese RPG does not disappoint fans of the genre.- Gamer.nl

Many puzzle games fall short when it comes to variation, but Gunpowder blows the competition away. This highly entertaining puzzle game is a bit short, but thanks to the variation and fun levels it will make you quit after the credits, instead of before.- Gamer.nl

Racing feels amazing and organic, with just a small amount of depth which could have been a bit more refined. We could have done without the storylines told by actors that try too hard to be young and modern.- Gamer.nl

Case Zero is a delightful appetizer to still your craving for Dead Rising 2. The game gives you insight in what happens before Chuck reaches Fortune City and shows you perfectly what you can expect when you're in doubt of getting the game at the end of September.- Gamer.nl

F1 2019 does not offer groundbreaking innovations. It remains a solid approach to motorsport. Especially the addition of Formula 2, a modern multiplayer, and small surprises within the career mode make this the best edition in years.- Gamer.nl

Dirt 2 looked like it was becoming a pimped out version of the first game, with emphasis on the spectacle. But Codemasters once again delivers a formidable racer. Great graphics combined with challenging gameplay and an excellent racing experience make Dirt 2 a worthy successor.- Gamer.nl

The HD-remake of wind Waker shows how strong the original GameCube-game was. In nearly every way it feels like a modern and fresh take on Zelda, that’s absolutely worth playing. Especially for newcomers. A few control issues and boring sail moments hardly detract from this magical experience.- Gamer.nl

Ghost Song was supposed to fill the void left behind by Nintendo and Konami by not making a new 2D Metroid or Castlevania. Eight years later it's an old school metroidvania that surprises with beautiful and daunting visuals and dialogue.- Gamer.nl

The compact, well working mechanism and focused gameplay of Greed Corp makes this a perfect offer for gamers who aren't looking for another turn-based strategy game using Advance Wars or Final Fantasy Tactics as blueprint. Kingdom Come Deliverance is an ambitious and unique role playing game that has a lot of things to improve on. The middle ages are very real and there is lots of freedom, but the bugs and the story are in the way of this being an instant classic.- Gamer.nl

The Metroid-esque adventure game Capsized is cleverly put together. The multifunctional weapons and the refreshing puzzles give the player enough space to develop their own playstyle. On design and technical terms it might also be one of the most impressive indie-games of the year.- Gamer.nl

Ratchet & Clank: Nexus offers (as an epilogue to the Future trilogy) exactly what you'd expect. The same gameplay as in the main parts, with a handful of new weapons and gadgets and on a much smaller scale. A lack of surprises is compensated for with the timeless quality we're used to from the series.- Gamer.nl

Assassin's Creed 2 is an excellent game. It's impressive to climb a massive cathedral from which you can overlook the entire city. The game surpasses the original game in almost every aspect, but the flawed AI and weak ending hold it back from becoming what we hoped for. It's still a beautiful adventure from the very beginning until the end.- Gamer.nl

The fluid dynamics of Pixeljunk Shooter touch something that is inside every human. The satisfaction of setting up a chain reaction and and letting all elements interact almost can't be topped. The addition of a co-op mode only adds more to the fun. The low difficulty and the omission of a level editor is a bit unsatisfactory.- Gamer.nl

Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath is a great addition to the already succesful Tiberium Wars. Though a few things are really too much. Like some useless upgrades and the huge size of the Epic units. But still the game made us enjoy. A good single and multiplayer experience and succesfully adding World Domination as a nice new playing style.- Gamer.nl
